SEA made some amazing plays. I had no horse in the race, and my jaw was dropping hard those last two minutes. Holy cow.

Was waiting to see how SEA would screw up a second chance and they took it. That TD catch was very close, he was still bobbling it until he kept his knee in for a split second.

And Pete almost screwing himself by taking the TO, THEN PHI challenges the play...

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

HOLY F THIS GAME! Wow.

The Vikings would’ve benefited by Philly winning… but Philly just loss to Drew Lock… lol!!!

The only thing they benefits the Vikings is losing out.

Unfortunately I think it is a bit too late for that.

If the Vikings go 2-1 vs. the Lions, the Packers and @ Lions, they are in. 1-2 might be a push, with help. I'm never one to throw the season for a draft pick. You play to win, you play to make the playoffs. If you lose and miss the playoffs, ohhh well and you just take your draft spot. It's bush league to throw a game or season for draft pick or picks.

Keep your stick on the ice...

Plus no players are going on to the field and tanking, it’s just not happening. These players are always trying to put good plays on tape and put up good stats for free agency. Some also have incentives that can be huge if they hit them.

I was suggesting the players tank back when Kirk got hurt.  Like the Colts did to get Andrew Luck.

Now it's too late.

Seems impossible unless you watched the game, Both defenses dominated including the LV D scoring twice. Mahomes was running for his life and Kelce was not a factor.

I saw a vast majority of the game. Neither QB was on the mark today. Similar to the NYG/PHI game, so far all teams were basically trying to fail less, rather than playing good football. Close games, sure, but so many mistakes by everyone.

I really hope to see some quality football in this next one.

The QBs today have not gotten much help from their receivers. You would think when you get paid millions of $ to run a route and catch a ball that you would catch the ball.

Or when Hurts stayed in bounds at the end of the first half, but NYG messed up with that delay of game penalty.

In the 2022 draft I was hoping the Vikings would take Hamilton (BAL #14) to replace Harrison but we moved back and took Cine.

Impressive by McCaffery, breaks off a 39 yard run and then powers thru 2 players on the next play for a TD. A lot of guys would tap their hat after a 40 yard run.

Best NFL Tv Duo: Nantz & Romo.

Worse NFL Tv Duo: Buck & Aikman. I’m surprised they can work together with both of their egos.

Smoother, yes. That type of QB (Mahomes, Allen, etc) there's usually some frantic running around.

And BAL broke Purdy. So much for MVP talk.

This game is over, so the best we can hope for...

BAL 33 - 19 SF 6:19 4Q This game has a 15.35% chance of ending in Scorigami. Most likely Scorigami: 40-19 (9.68%)

33-19. No Scorigami. Last happened in 2017, WAS-DAL. 9 total games have had this score before.

I am only a passive 9er fan after being a rabid fan in the 80's and 90's so I don't live on every snap of football they play.  I have been very aware of Purdy since he stepped into the starter role because Clone fans in Iowa can't shut the eff up about him.  He does own a lot of Cyclone QB records but that isn't saying much because they have been horsebleep most of their existence.  When they were good in the 90's they had two well above average RB's and barely threw the ball.

Anyway...Purdy.  Yesterday was exactly what Mr. Irrelevant is capable of doing.  While every Clone fan will deny it as well as many others, Purdy's success is a lot due to Shanahan's system and the people in it IMO.  Do I think Purdy is an above average NFL QB?  Nope, merely average even though the stats say differently.  I truly believe he would struggle on most other NFL teams rosters.  Sometimes you can't explain why certain QB's click with certain coaches.

Do I have some inherent bias against Mr. Purdy because of his past allegiances to the Agricultural College of the State of Iowa?  Yes.  Don't deny it.  I think his clock is ticking on how much longer he will be an effective NFL QB.

I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!

I definitely think your bias against Purdy is skewing your thoughts on him. I get it, as we all have some sort of biases against certain teams ( mine is the Whioux ). He is 2nd in yards, 2nd in td's, is in the top 5 in QB rating and most other categories. He has less INT's than Mahomes, Allen, and Hurts. Sure he had a bad game last night, but I think he will be ok. I know SF has a ton of offensive talent, and even though they don't need a lot from him, he is doing more than just a "system" qb does, IMHO.

Purdy is average. His fancy stats come from Shanahan’s system using a lot of short easy throws to guys like Kittel, McCaffery and Samuel who are absolute YAC monsters. He also has a good O line. John Lynch has built quite a team.

He went out for the coin toss while not being a captain.  JJ is drooling now if the Vikings have a QB that can get him the ball.

Broncos QB Russell Wilson has been benched for the remainder of the 2023 season, according to Adam Schefter.

Wilson has been better than he was last season, but that was an extremely low bar to clear. He was still being hidden at every possible opportunity by Sean Payton’s coaching staff. The plan has sputtered out over the past month and Wilson has been unable to put the offense on his back. Wilson is guaranteed $39 million in 2024; however, he has an additional $37 million in 2025 salary that is guaranteed only in the case of injury and vests in March of 2024. That means that if Wilson suffered a serious injury at the end of this season that would cause him to still be injured in March of next year, that $37 million would be guaranteed to him. The Broncos are deciding not to risk that and will start Jarett Stidham the rest of the way. This move also likely signals the end of Wilson’s time in Denver as it would be unlikely they make this move and then keep him as their starter in 2023.

Looked like the refs may have screwed the Lions on that 2pt conversion. It looked like 68 AND 70 went to the ref and reported as eligible but the ref only announced 70. The TV coverage propaganda ref said the formation was illegal but 68 was lined up next to the tackle therefore covering him as a tight end. We’ll see how this shakes out. Could be big for playoff seeding..or not.

Not surprising that putting 2 world class aholes together on the same offense didn’t work out for Denver. Very doubtful that this is solely a Russell Wilson issue…Sean Payton is an arrogant pr@ck.

and why would a player lined up at tackle report as eligible? It’s a dumb rule anyway and I bet they change it. You should be eligible based on where you line up in the formation not your jersey number. Campbells post game presser is great and Goff just said in his presser that 70 did not report and 68 did, confirmed that he told 68 to tell the ref a second time he’s reporting and he did. There’s video showing all of this happening. So dumb. Seems like the ref totally botched this as the clock was stopped and there’s no reason to not get it right.

It looks like 70 did not report but was running off the sideline towards the ref. 68 reported and the ref screwed up the number and said 70 when it was 68. So dumb.

Now in postgame the ref says 68 did not report but 70 did so if 68 covers 70 lined up at tackle that’s an illegal formation. It gets dumber…So if a tackle reports as eligible even tho he’s definitely not he doesn’t have to be covered? WTF?

I don't think either team is going anywhere anyway, but...

Many past examples show McCarthy will blow it for his team.

So simple to just have eligibility based on where you line up.
