The Malarchuk is my worst. Makes me queasy. But, that’s not NFL.

That was a WHOLE 'nother level. I watched it once...that was enough.

The worst I’ve seen was from the NBA where a player had a compound fracture of both lower leg bones and came straight down landing on the stumps poking through the skin.

Paul George?

Yes that was Paul George.

Alex Smith had a pretty nasty one. Anything where the bone breaks and the leg is sideways. Another one I distinctly remember is EJ Henderson for the Vikings. Sunday night game at Arizona around 2010ish. Broke his femur. Landed in his back and his leg was flipping every which way.

Tim Krumrie, IIRC 1988 playoffs, Bengals. Ugh.

Regardless of how the Vikings' season may be going, it's always a pleasure to see a Sean Peyton coached team getting its ass kicked all over the field.

How happy is FOX that Taylor Swift is at the Chiefs’ game?  Otherwise they’d be talking about what a great job the groundskeeper did or something else less interesting given how bad this game is …

It certainly fills a BLANK SPACE in the broadcast because the team in RED is saying YOU BELONG TO ME to the Bears on this SEPTEMBER afternoon.

I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

That's a bit harsh. That "Shake It Off" song is catchy, overall I'm not into her music, but I don't think she's an idiot by any means. I actually think she's one of the good people out there, giving 6 figure bonuses to her staff/crew/etc.

Watching that LV-PIT game....no wonder LV is horrid. PIT wasn't exactly greatness, but geez, it looked like Matt Millen was back in the building, if you know what I mean. Wow.

Did anyone else have spotty coverage on the Thursday night football game (Lions @ Packers) on Prime tonight? Play with freeze for a second or two then go right back to where the play was at without missing anything.

No, but I watch it through the app in my Comcast box.  Did you stream via WiFi?  I've seen plenty of people asking questions like yours or having poor resolution when I have crystal clear coverage and I wonder if it's a difference between them streaming via Wi-Fi vs me using a cable connection.

Games on Prime drive me nuts.

I have the same set up and the time it takes to get to the game seems like hours, but probably a minute.  I have at best a passing interest and want to either click around during breaks or click to the Thursday night game during breaks in something else and given the time in/out of the app it's not worth it.

Cable connection. At times, the resolution was really poor as well and freezing for a couple seconds, but not missing any of the play.

I think it's officially true that the Chicago Bears are the worst run franchise in the NFL if not all of sports, surpassing the former hapless Browns and Lions.  What a season for them ignoring the scoreboard and record:

- Defensive Coordinator mysteriously resigns for "health and family wellness" issues at the "requirement" of HR

- #2 wideout, Chase Claypool, asked to stay away from the facility and a healthy scratch "for better of the team"

- Pull a Gophers vs. NU and give up a 21 point 4th quarter lead to lose to the winless Broncos at home

- HC either doesn't know or lies about status of team and players at press conferences (see Chase Claypool situation) requiring Bears PR to issue clarifying statements

- Have either missed on or ruined another QB

Even if I wasn't a fan of the team it'd be hard to watch.  Currently on pace to have the #1 AND #2 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.  I'm sure that won't hold, but it's 4 games in and that's an incredible scenario.

RIP Dick Butkus. What a bummer.

Stories of his toughness and border line dirty play have kind of obscured what a freakishly athletic and dominant player this guy was. Kind of ironic he and Brooks Robinson going so close together. Different sports but maybe the two best defensive athletes of my youth (apologies to Bill Russell).

There was no borderline dirty about it, but that's the way it was back then. That being said, check out about 6 seconds into this vid, where he LIFTS AN RB LIKE IT'S NOTHING. RIP to the toughest and meanest SOB to play the game. Props to Jack Lambert, but he was no Butkus.

Even though it's the Packers, still a cool pic with Scott Curry in the celebration. I played summer league basketball with Curry back in high school. Even played against Ryan Leaf and he was crazy before the NFL. According to Scott's post on fb it's from 1999 vs. Arizona.
