It sounds like Sean Payton is considering leaving the Saints. Would he be interested in coaching the Vikings? If so is he the right person for the job?

Souhan's Sunday Strib column about Leslie Frazier being the best choice, even though a "rerun" , as the next Viking coach certainly hasn't aged well.

He's more likely to go to the Giants. Their new GM is Joe Schoen (formerly Assistant GM for the Bills), and they have interviewed both Frasier and Brian Daboll.

P.S. Souhan is an idiot

I think the Bears interviewed both also

This is how insane last night's game was:

There have only been two postseason performances in NFL history where a QB passed for at least 325 yards, threw at least 3 TDs, had no INTs and rushed for 60 yards.

Josh Allen vs. the Chiefs, Jan. 23, 2022

Patrick Mahomes vs. the Bills, Jan. 23, 2022

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

Think about this.

Josh Allen in the 2021 playoffs

48-of-62 (77.4%), 637 yards, 9 TD, 0 INT, 149.0 rating (10.3 YPA).

17 carries, 139 yards (7.9 YPC).

His 106.6 passer rating in the postseason is 2nd in #NFL history (only Patrick Mahomes is higher at 107.2).

And the Bills are knocked out of the playoffs. KC/Bills....this is gonna be a long time battle....

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

Lots of rumors about Brady hanging it up and whether man bun plays again on Green Bay. If the Packers go onto a rebuilding mode I wouldn't expect he would go back.

Love your enthusiasm Rube. Bills need to get over the hump, clearly they have potential to do it. Until then thou, they will remain (historically) the Vikings of the AFC ??

I've lived through all 4 of the Vikings' Super Bowl losses, but 2009 and New Orleans was the worst for me. I was so positive they were going to the Super Bowl, right up until that field goal went through the uprights. I was totally wiped after that one and sincerely felt ill from lack of sleep for a couple days. My condolences to The Rube. It's like "Uggghhhhhhhh..." :ddown:

It was setup perfectly this year for the Bills' Vengeance Tour 2022:

NE: obvious reasons

KC: last year's AFC Title game

TN (Memphis Miracle) or CIN (1988 AFC Championship)

And then possibly beating Brady in the SB.

That would have been a dream come true...

It would be fun for NE to keep improving with Mac/BillyB and have a real battle year in year out for the AFC East. Kind of like what we saw in the AFC North with Steelers, Ravens, and to a lesser extent Cincy in the last decade or in the NFC West. Those Bills with Allen are super fun to watch.

How many bitcoin billionaires (in dollars) are there out there? That have actually cashed out. I don't delve into crypto because I don't trust it but seems the cash out process is not too hard nowadays.

If he took the contract in bitcoin what does that actually mean? Just $750k in bitcoin? The same as if he got the money and bought bitcoin himself?

Good god Payton is just yammering on endlessly in his farewell press conference. NFL Network finally just gave up and went to commercial when he finally stopped talking for 3 seconds. I’m sure he’ll be apologizing to Favre for bountygate at some point…..

To my knowledge he is the first person have lived in the same apartment building as me and also become an NFL head coach.

Now I need Gilles Meloche to get a head coaching job and I'll have two former neighbors as head coaches! :)

Unusual play sequence by KC to end the half. Get all the way down to the 1 yard line with 9 seconds and not come away with any points. They must be supremely confident that Cincinnati simply can't keep up on the scoreboard...which HAS been the case so far.

Amazing comeback for Cincy as they were getting stomped in the first half. Not sure what Mahomes was thinking throwing into double coverage in OT and Hill is a small receiver.

Cincy D put the stop on the Chiefs in the second half, but Mahomes badly mismanaged the last 3 or 4 possessions. He was awful.

He was so reckless he reminded me of that NC championship game when the quarterback from Minnesota threw the ball weakly across the middle instead of running it 4 or five yards for a first down.

Kansas City's last eight possessions.

end of half - clock runs out with the ball at the one

punt

punt

interception

punt

punt

field goal

interception

Who would have predicted this after Kansas City scored TDs on their first three possessions to go up 21-3?

A 21-3 lead is a really nice lead but it's not that safe when you only score 3 points the rest of game.
