Tough to find a more obvious trip.

There have been some very questionable calls and non-calls for both teams this game. The reffing is sub-par, for sure.

Per

: Josh Allen is the first starting quarterback to beat Patrick Mahomes twice at Arrowhead Stadium.

[my note] If the sports gods are fair and just, these two teams will meet again in the AFC Championship for another heart-attack game.

I was watching under the assumption that they were playing for home field in the AFC Champ game.

I would say that is the case, although it doesn't always work out the way it should...MN did BUF a solid today, thank you, btw.

Christian McCaffrey to the Niners for a bunch of draft picks. This is a doozie.

Short sighted trade for Carolina. Those draft picks aren’t gonna ever equal the true impact of McCaffery.

Running back are very replaceable.  Count in McCaffery's injury history and the draft picks are well worth it.

They have a lot of shots at the dart board but that doesn’t necessarily guarantee anything. SF didn’t give up a first either. McCaffrey is the best RB in the league and still relevant on a team that can’t pass worth shit so he’ll fit in under Jimmy G just fine ?

I agree about running backs and if Carolina’s goal was to get out from under CMCs big contract then I would say it’s worth it even tho you’re trading a player who is by far your best offensive player. Carolina still has to pay his signing bonus but it gets them out of about 12M per year for the last 3 years of his deal. Better to use that space on a QB than a RB. That’s why I don’t think it’s worth it for teams to be paying guys like Elliot and I would love if the Vikings traded Cook. They have plenty of RB depth and he’s not the same player he was before the shoulder dislocation and he’s not gonna be. He consistently runs out of bounds to avoid contact and is nowhere close to the physical runner he used to be.

The one thing I’ll say about RBs is that’s not many have sure hands in terms of catching and giving you versatility in the pass game. Those drops can really stall out a drive or worse they bobble it in the air/fumble. McCaffrey is definitely above average at that.

It’ll be interesting to see what Carolina does with those picks. The 2nd round is not where you typically get elite QBs and that’s a big hole for them. That said maybe they can improve in other areas and make a big splash later without McCaffrey’s contract like BB said. It’s fine to trade him away for space and draft picks and improve the team long term (while tanking in the short term) but they need to use their new resources well or they’re just right back to where they were when they got him.

They’re going to have a high first round draft pick regardless and now they have additional picks to throw in if they want to move up.

I have no idea what the QB talent pool is for the upcoming draft but I have to imagine it will be strong with so many COVID kids coming out of their 6th year.

True, the draft is really the only way to get an above average QB for dirt cheap and they’re a terrible team so they should get a top pick. Like you said IDK what QBs are available from the NCAA but even if there isn’t they could just tank another year.

I believe I saw there are possibly 5 QBs that could go first round and 3 top ten. They called the Washington St QB the 5th best and he looked pretty good from what I’ve seen. Looked like his skills would translate.

Has father time finally caught up to Tom Brady? Tampa loses 21-3 to Carolina who had to start their 3/4th string QB PJ Walker. Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold and Matt Corral - rookie draft pick this year are all hurt. Carolina just traded away their best player and a starting WR. Carolina is in full rebuilt (*cough* tank) mode and Tom Brady can only score 3 points against them. ?

Last week Tom and the Bucs lost 20-18 to the QB duo of Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky (they each played about half the game).

When you can't out dual PJ Walker, Kenny Pickett and Mitch Trubisky and lose due to being unable to score points/TDs. ?

Apparently the Packers don't want to give the ball to their two best players on offense (Aaron Jones & AJ Dillon). The Packers had 12 total rushing attempts for the game.

Washington had 72 plays and Green Bay had 47 plays.

I pick 6 by the Packer defense and a late Packer TD made the final score close.

Green Bay you may want to start giving the ball to your two best players on offense. ?

On Erin's 35 passing attempts he throw for only 194 yards. The Packers can't gain yards throwing the ball yet refuse to run the ball. #KeepItUpPackers ?

You know your team is in trouble when Daniel Snyder is the smartest owner in the contest.

I mentioned elsewhere, that the Bill B/Greatest Living American is a combo we might never see again. That was pure harmony as far as domination in a sport. I may hate both of them, but mad respect for their accomplishments.

Related: I had 2 things to say at the beginning of the season:
1. I was/am more afraid of MIA than NE
2. IF there was a year to settle it all, re: MN-BUF SBs, this is the year.

Stop it.  The Vikes are 5-1 but haven't beat a decent team all season and haven't looked good in any game outside of the Packer game.  I'll give you the first half of the Bears game they looked.

There will be no "settle it all" opportunity this year.

I should add the infamous quote,
While in Philadelphia, head coach Buddy Ryan helped to coin one of ESPN's Chris Berman's famous quotes about Carter: "All he does is catch touchdowns."

While in Philadelphia, head coach Buddy Ryan helped to coin one of ESPN's Chris Berman's famous quotes about Carter: "All he does is catch touchdowns."

The back story to this is that the Philadelphia Eagles released Chris Carter because of drug use and rather than rat him out when asked why they would release a player who could help the team Buddy Ryan responded "All he does is catch touchdowns." as a way to seemingly give a valid reason (down play his ability) while covering up the real reason. Buddy Ryan is criticized (especially by Eagles fans) for releasing a future Hall of Famer but Chris Carter has admitted that Buddy did him a favor and it was the wake up call he needed.

I'll definitely say they win the division. I'll go 12-5. They play AFC East, and I think the Jets/Pats are pretenders, so there's a couple wins. MIA...tossup. Bills, they lose, not even biased. If it were IN MN? I might think differently.

Games to come vs decent teams are Bills, Jets, Giants, and Cowboys.  Pats too.  Jets and Pats aren't scary teams, but this Vikings team also struggle with Detroit, The Saints without their best WR and RB, and Miami vs QB3.  They also pissed away a big lead vs the Bears but pulled out a end of game drive for the W.
