And the countdown begins...
Unfortunately there are about 10 of these in different forms currently ongoing. Hard to know which one is the straw that breaks the camel's back.
They are all based (in some way or another) in antitrust actions by the NCAA. I did read an article last night that Congress is actively looking at some form of limited antitrust exemption for the NCAA, however, so not all is yet lost.
Edit: Ross Dellenger is putting out some very good stuff right now on the topic. This is his article from yesterday.
Getting to watch the Griz under the lights, in Missoula and snowing!!!
Keep your stick on the ice...
Griz win 35-28 in overtime. Winning 6 of their last 8 games vs. top 20 teams. Host NDSU/South Dakota State winner next weekend.

It is University of South Dakota, not South Dakota State. SDSU is on the other side of the bracket
Clerical era on my end. NDSU got beyond lucky last weekend in Bozeman. I think their luck out this time in the plains of South Dakota.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Might as well just lump the South Dakota teams together haha.
Yea, not a well coached/played game on both sides of the ball lol. I do not think NDSU wins the championship this year, but I do not think USD is the team to take us out.
You can’t let NDSU hang around in games. They are to well coached and experienced. Montana almost got beat last night for letting Furman hang around.
Keep your stick on the ice...
Though playing at Washington Grizzly Stadium in Missoula is a huge advantage for Montana, especially during the playoffs. It can be cold, snowy and the crowd noise stays in the stadium because it all bounces off Mount Sentinel, and stays in the stadium.

NDSU up 35-3 going into half time. Playing angry, love to see it.
Going to USC to be linebacker coach.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Going to USC to be linebacker coach.
Going from a head coach at NDSU to the linebacker coach at USC is quite the step down.

To USC? He's going to the major leagues; not even close it's step forward.

I rather be in Fargo than the cess hole of LA.

It's incredibly sad that I agree with this statement.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
I do wonder how much of a pay raise he got. Living in Fargo vs living in LA is a HUGE jump in cost of living.
I wish all the best for him. I was not the biggest fan for his tenure as head coach so I can't complain too much. I always thought he was fine, but nothing more than that. I think a specific position group/coordinator is a much better role for him.

If we are moving to an era where the B1G/$EC are kings, the ACC/BXII are royalty, and there will be essentially no difference between the MAC and MVC, getting out of Fargo now and into the B1G makes a ton of sense.
With St. Thomas making the jump and SDSU on a run, and with UND and USD nipping at their heels, the easy road has gotten quite hard for NDSU. Not to say the Bison can't still be successful, but their window of dominance is closing. Better to get out on top instead of facing the Fargo faithful's wrath when they cannot automatically reserve hotel rooms in Frisco annually.
HaHa NDSU fans... GO GRIZ!!!

Also he's betting on himself to do well at USC. John Hynes turned down a comfortable USNTDP job with USA Hockey to test himself in pro hockey in the AHL as an assistant. It's a totally different game recruiting at USC than FCS, have to prove it.
Nebraska somehow gets the top QB recruit to flip from Georgia. Big couple in Lincoln

How long until he De-Commits or transfers?

I will just say it: he is using his condition/disease/etc as an excuse/crutch. This is now a pattern.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
I said before there is zero chance he would have lasted this long at Minnesota because of his health. I wish him no ill will at all, but that to me would have been a very likely outcome.

I do not wish ill will, but he sticks around until he doesn't want to stick around, and uses "health concerns" as the crutch.

Eastern Michigan's sportsmanship on full display after the game. The PxP from the woman screaming is the best part of the video, although her screaming hurts the ears.

Well... presumably that player spent the night in jail? I get that police/courts try to stay out of sporting events in terms of things that could be incredibly dirty plays/etc, but that wasn't the outcome of a shoving match that escalated too far. That was intentional, and quite separated from any scuffle on the field.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
That was clearly above and beyond sportsball scuffles.

His little crybaby tirade about his bowl game will be the last memory we have of him as coach. Fitting.
I have no ill will, but I have zero respect for him either.

Straight from the Urban Meyer playbook.
Jeepers, he’s stepped down like 3 times now, when will places stop hiring him.
Saw this on fb…
Jim Harbaugh, Ryan Day and Nick Saban… lol!!!

Arizonia/Oklahoma Alamo Bowl game has been fun to watch.

Well that should kick the fire Ryan Day talk up to a new level
I used to love the Bowl games. Now with guys entering the Transfer Portal before their game, or sitting it out for the draft, I've pretty much lost interest. The rosters change so much between the regular season and the bowl games.
The Pop Tarts bowl is prima facie evidence that there are not too many bowl games. The number of memes and poasts about that game has been amazing.

Hoping…
FSU covers (-20) or even beats Georgia and Michigan routs Alabama.

Some of these bowls are fun and the committees for each individual make them fun. The Pop Tart Bowl and the Mayo Bowl stand out.

Agtee… interesting how if you’re not Michigan, Washington, Texas or Alabama, your team isn’t as important anymore.

More of these bowl games need to bring more of the fun. It’s an exhibition game and should be more fun. Any sponsor with food seems to have it down.
The extreme outrage about FSU not getting into the playoff is looking silly now. I get that they have some players out but I’m sure GA does too and being down by 32 at (not even) the half pokes a lot of holes in their argument.

Florida State is playing with out their top 2 QBs, top 3 WRs, top 2 RBs, and 5 of their 7 starters at DL & LB.
Georgia's starters are playing other then their top TE.

If you throw a hissy fit about not making the playoff you don’t make your case by being down 39 at the half. There were multiple FL politicians who cranked up the outrage machine and called for investigations into the committee.
Right but we knew they’d be without the QBs before this game even happened, not sure about the others.
