Haha Notre Shame… and I detest OSU.
Keep your stick on the ice...
JFC tOSU is going off about Lou Holtz?! He's off the rails in the post game, my gosh it is hilarious.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Feels like there are a lot of mediocre teams this year and sadly the Gophers are not in position to take advantage.
That is a shame.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.

Ryan Day is blowhard. We’ll see how little he has to say after OSU gets railed by both PSU and Mich.

Tonight's showing can't be good for Forenz Jr's weird 25 point dealio Iowa has set up.
With the interim AD I'm not sure much that dealio is in play yet. There is no doubt that the Iowa offense is offensive. Nothing has really changed from last year in that respect. The part of the offense that is the worst is not QB1 it's the entire offensive line. They can't run block to save their lives and take about 50% of the passing snaps off.
The one quote from Twitter this weekend that I will reference is former Iowa Football writer Marc Morehouse was asked about who's offense is this KF or BF? He said that the offense is KF's. I have no doubt about that but I think the development of the offense and the athletes falls on BF and the other position coaches and it seems to have fallen off. Iowa used to produce multiple OL studs but it seems that they can only muster one at a time in the last five years or so.
Here is what I will say about Saturday nights game...Penn State is good and Iowa played awful. Iowa is not as bad of a team as Penn State made them look. Iowa though is still just a coin flip on whether they will win the west. Minnesota or Wisconsin may cause Iowa problems this season.

Wow, Ole Miss just got screeeeeeeewed.
USD knocks off NDSU in Fargo. Could also be listed under a simple pleasure.

The football gods were certainly looking out for Notre Shame tonight vs. Duke.

Iowa fan Twitter posts about how Cooper DeJean is the best player in the Kirk Ferentz era and possibly Hayden Fry is just so laughable it's sickening. Cooper is a heck of a player but even at this point in his Iowa career Tyler Sash had better numbers defensively than Cooper...yeah, I looked them up. Cooper's only stat that he has over other former players is three pick-sixes last season.
Anyway, Iowa still sucks on the offensive side of the ball and having Cade McNamara go down with significant knee injury won't help that. Although having a mobile QB may help the OL with their less than stellar blocking. Iowa's defense is good but not near as good as last year. DeJean is getting the Desmond King/Riley Moss treatment by most teams by avoiding throwing his way.
I have no idea what will happen with the coaches after this season. If Indiana has balls enough to fire a coach during the season I hope that Iowa's interim AD will have the guts to force changes if Iowa's dominance of the bottom of the entire freaking FBS offenses continues.

To be honest, if I'm the QB in that situation I just take the snap and take a knee. Regardless of the play which was sent in, there's no way I'm handing the ball off to anyone.https://twitter.com/barstoolsports/status/1710863506428301483?s=20

was the fumble reviewed? Looks pretty obviously down before the ball comes out
Oregon-Washington is REALLY fun to watch so far.

And clicking from that game to the red v black game is like going back in time. Way back. Like 1920s football.

For as much as I detest Notre Dame football. It is nice watching their defensive line shred Caleb Williams.

Yep. A 2 loss Notre Dame team falls behind most 2 loss power 5s and several 3 loss power 5s.

USC/ND… reason why kick returns and punt returns are so essential to the game.
Keep your stick on the ice...
ND upsets USC, fans rush the field and some college kid is smoking a cigar… lol!!!
Last night I was noticing a STU student double fisting two beers to start the third. He was enjoying them until the Gophers rattled off 2 goals to tie the game.

Iowa has now lost its #1 and #2 TE's for the year to injury. Which also happens to be their #1 and #2 receivers for the year...#2 is Luke Lachey who has missed the last four games. That tells you how miserable Iowa's passing game is this season.
#1 - Eric All - injured last weekend, out for the season (21 recs., 299 yards)
#2 Luke Lachey - injured in third game, out for the season (10 recs., 131 yards)
#3 Nico Ragaini - 5th year senior (10 recs., 89 yards)
For total this year Iowa's WR's only have 22 receptions on the year...how sad is that!? Now with only two actual TE's on the roster before using either FB's or lineman the passing attack of Iowa is purely moot in an already meek offense.

You can't out sandbag the Gophers.
Iowa will win 4-3 on a ridiculous last second safety.
It's going to be something ridiculous that determines the outcome of this game...for certain.

I have a funny feeling that Iowa is going to have a offense explosion vs. the Gophers and their defense continues to be dominate. Jr. will get his 26 pts. Iowa 26, Gophers 10.

Right now the big rub that Hawk fans have with the Ferentz's this week is why Joe Labas isn't getting a look instead of Deacon Hill at QB. Labas looked decent in the bowl win over Kentucky last season and Deacon Hill is no Cade McNamara. Hill is built like a lineman and has no touch on his throws, he just throws laser beams that Iowa's awful receiving corps can't catch. Never mind that they couldn't catch crabs...you know.

Caleb Williams might be the biggest piece of trash in college football. Might be the next Ryan Leaf in the NFL.

USC has given up 164 points in the last 4 games. They have what should be a "gimme" next week against Cal, but their final three games are Washington, Oregon and UCLA. That could easily end up being 0-3. Williams and their offense can score, but that is some porous defense.
Iowa football is awful...that is all.

Iowa had a total of 12 yards gained in the second half
Your math doesn't work out...it was 2 yards...I was wrong in the other thread.

So stop me if you heard this one...Michigan is being investigated for cheating! This time it is kind of crazy! Allegedly (and by allegedly I mean, totally happened and everyone knows it) they paid an assistant to steal the signs of the opponents. Now I know what you are thinking...big deal! Well they weren't stealing signs in the game or from tape, they were going to other games by their opponents and stealing the signs that way. It got so bad that the league has warned MSU about it in advance of their matchup.

Now of course Khaki Pants (who is already dodging a suspension) denies any knowledge of it, but since the story broke Thursday all sorts of crazy evidence has been found and if Khaki didn't know he is the dumbest coach alive. Most of the coaches in the Big Ten knew about it and have been warning each other and the Big Ten it is going on. People wondered why Schiano gave this interview during halftime of their game and now everyone seems to get it: https://twitter.com/jimmweber/status/1715068041552076803
Here is the Yahoo story that goes in depth and I believe they broke the story...
The coach...Connor Stalions has been suspended with pay as they "investigate". Just another low level flunky taking the heat for the guys in charge. Except, he really wasn't a low level flunky as he was often o the sidelines feeding the defensive coaches information. There is video evidence of it in multiple games.
Oh and then there is this:
And this:
And this:
Now, this next bit could be a coincidence but "Jim Harbaugh went 2-4 in 2020, capping a 47-22 run (.681) over six years. Since reported the Michigan allegations began in 2021, Michigan has gone 33-3 (.917). Conference record has improved from 34-16 (.680) to 22-1 (.956)". (stolen from Ghole)
It also lead to maybe my favorite sign of all time:
It's against the rules to scout other teams?
To be perfectly honest, until all of this came to light, I had no idea that it was illegal to have staff members (or whomever) go to opponent's games for scouting purposes. I just figured it was a given.
It seems cheesy and over the top but not surprising coming from Harbaugh.is there an actual rule against doing this?
My guess is filming opposing sidelines is illegal? Did the Pats get in trouble for that when they were the Cheatriots?
