Montreal fans get it.  Their team lost 4-0, and the stands were still completely full after the Habs had left the ice.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

Well, he's one of the city's favorite sons. That would be like if Zach Parise played his last game in St. Paul, only in an opposite kind of way.

Confused

Would be nice if the Wild could figure out their woes at home between now and the playoffs.

That's mostly Gustavsson, although it doesn't help that they're missing half of their roster every time they play a home game.

Gus 20-10-3, 2.56 GAA, .914 saves %

Fleury 11-5-1, 2.60 GAA, .908 saves %

Not a bad for a 40 year old.

I'm not really sure how I feel about this play. Certainly a dirty play by Hartman but I'm not even convinced it's a penalty. After watching countless Wild players being injured by much worse actions, I can't really care much about Stutzle.

While this specific play isn’t that egregious, it’s another brick in The Wall for a player who DOESN’T have an aversion for cheap, dumb ass plays. He’s certainly not Hynes favorite Wild player (either).

Hartman gets an in person hearing, which usually means 5+ games.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain why that should even be a penalty?

I don’t see why violently smashing another human being’s head on the ice causing them to bleed (ie intent to injure) shouldn’t be a penalty.  No excuse for that kind of nonsense in the game; or irl for that matter.  🤷‍♀️

He doesn't smash Stutzle's head into the ice. He drops his body weight on top of Stutzle after Stutzle puts himself under Hartman to win a faceoff. We've already been told by the NHL that jumping on a players back and allowing your body weight to fall on them isn't even a penalty let alone anything close to a suspension.

In my own personal opinion, this play is beyond dirty and should be a 15-20 game suspension. By the precedence set by the NHL, pretty much daily, this isn't even a penalty.

It's not nearly as bad as some of the career-ender type plays other players have made against the Wild (talking about taking knees out, etc).  It just looks worse because of the blood.  And like you said, the players that took out our knees didn't get any suspensions whatsoever.

Hartman put his elbow on the back of his head and drove his head into the ice. He deserves to get suspended.

He lucked out; should have been more. This kind of nonsense just kills a team; selfish, stupid move by him. And it just keeps happening; 5th suspension and more to come, I'm sure. He's an idiot who obviously doesn't learn and change. Great return on a 3 year, $12 million contract.

With the 4 Nations break coming up next week, Hartman won’t be eligible to return until Mar. 9. He’s losing $487,804.90 in salary.

Expensive DUMB ASS play…something tells me his wife is PISSED! lol 😂

Bell rang for the end of that in time. I only actually seen about 10 minutes of it and we were against the ropes for all of that. We’ll take it.

With Tenin and Hinostroza as the goal scorers.  Just how you'd draw it up! haha.

Hinostroza has scored the game winning goal in every game he has played for the Wild. What a brilliant waiver claim by Bill Guerin. 😊

In one game Hinostroza has as many goals as Shore, Jones, Johnson, Milne, Boyd,  and Guance combined to score in 72 games.

Back to back home wins!

Trenin was a menace tonight. DeAngelo with two own goals helped.

The Tenin tip was ridiculous.  The original shot was going wide of the net (to the right of the goalie) by a foot and the tip directed the puck under the goalie’s LEFT arm.

Kaprizov going to be out longer than expected.  I don't know what is going on with the current medical staff.  But every injury timeline they give out, just go ahead and throw it away or ignore it.  It feels like every guy on this team is out for longer than the originally expected.

Rossi scores after he comes out of the box from that ridiculous call. What a gutty comeback. Wild were down 3-1 in the third and on the PK with about 6 minutes left.

Detroit got two questionable goals to take a 3-1 lead but the Wild scored twice in the last 7 minutes of regulation, kill off a Red Wing power play in OT on a "interesting" call, and win it in OT 4-3.

Foligno (11th of the season) scored the tying goal with 1:31 left in regulation and Rossi (20th of the season) scored the game winner with 1:35 left in OT.

Hinostroza scored his 2nd Wild goal in three games after being picked up off of waivers and Boldy got his 21st of the season.

The refs repeatedly tried to give the game to the Red Wings but Wild said "Screw that we are still going to win".

A lot of people are saying this is an injury from the tournament. For some reason they'd rather say it was Wild practice related?

He was also injured before the tourney as he missed the last game for the Wild before it started. It could be related to that and he played through it. I have heard that it is a broken bone of some sort.

Wild with two early goals and a lot of jump only to give up three straight for a regulation loss.

The second goal Gustafson gave up was a head shaker.

I zonked out early in the 3rd and thought I heard Gus got beat from the blue line for the second time but then again I was sleeping so. Who needs  an app with calming raindrops and soothing  winds? 😂

Rumor mill (talk radio)... Wild going after Brock Nelson, Brock Boeser or the far fetched one of Brad Marchand.

I’d be shocked if Marchand ended up playing for anyone other than Boston. He’s earned the right to stay there if he chooses.  He’s also publicly stated that he wants to be a Bruin for life.

I'd be furious if the Wild went for Marchand.  I hate that guy more than any other NHLer..... well maybe not as much a Claude Lemieux.

The Brocks can go play for the NHL team in North Dakota.  Don't overrate them because they're from MN.

probably not a great look for the team and/or Eriksson-Ek that they let an injured player go to the 4-nations tournament and he came back in even worse shape.

Pretty clear from Russo tweet that JEK took a puck off his foot and broke a bone. Not sure why all the cloak and dagger.

but it isn’t clear when he took the puck in the foot. It's pretty obvious that it wasn't recently.  The Wild medical staff has taken some heat in the past few weeks and I can't imagine they would be too eager to announce that they screwed up again.

Russo on KFAN this afternoon says Ek could be out until the start of the playoffs. Said if that is that case, they could keep him on LTIR and trade for a center before the deadline. Said Guerin is making calls. Then they could activate Ek at playoff time and do what Vegas and Tampa have done in recent years since there is no cap in the playoffs.  But, they need to determine if Ek will truly be out that long. On another note, KK has been seeing a Dr in NY and his timeline is uncertain as well, but they hope he is ready to go sometime in late March.

If Kirill and EK are out until the playoffs she might be a bumpy ride trying to hang onto a playoff spot.

put em both on LTIR and get trading and we'll be LOADED for the postseason. Might as well join the ranks of those who have manipulated the cap and do something with it before they close the loophole
