Keep your stick on the ice...
The Vikings only have two outdoor games from November 1st on.
November 19th at Denver
December 17th at Cincinnati
The other three road games in the second half of the season are in domes Atlanta, Las Vegas, and Detroit.
Getting the road games against Chicago (October 15th) and Green Bay (October 29) out of way in October is probably good for a team use to playing most of their games indoors (11 of 17 this season).
9-8.
They play the Lions two of the last three games?
That was an odd skyline choice for that schedule poster.
I think the outdoor thing is overblown considering the whole team lives in MN and is well acclimated to the cold by just living in it. They can practice outdoors all they want. It isn't like a warm weather team playing in Chicago in Dec.The Vikings only have two outdoor games from November 1st on.

Except the Vikings tend to play like crap on natural grass fields…seem to always have a hard time adjusting to the footing (not the cold weather).I think the outdoor thing is overblown considering the whole team lives in MN and is well acclimated to the cold by just living in it. Pretty good deal for the Vikings considering how little leverage they had.
The Browns are not smart...
Pretty good deal for the Vikings considering how little leverage they had.
Discussing this elsewhere, I think the Jets caved, but the Vikings did ok, given the leverage each team had.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

The Jets had no choice but to cave though. Everyone and their mom knew they were going to get Rodgers. They couldn't back out and then turn back to their QB room and say "Just kidding we really like all of you!"
Hence why they are the J E T S MESS MESS MESS.

Aloha!
Until they figure out how to play defense and pressure a qb and learn how to make adjustments as a game progresses I actually see on the schedule them losing 7 straight from weeks 2-8. Brutal schedule imo.
5-12
They'll go 4-2 in the division, so I'm thinking 10-7, 11-6.

Their offense could be better, but their defense could be worse. 10-7.
Good tribute to Bud Grant today, 1 of his last conversations With NFL commissioner Roger Goodell he told him to get Jim Marshall into the Hall of Fame
Aloha!
Aloha!
Aloha!
Good.
Maybe they’ll run the ball on 3rd and 1 now. I could tackle him
I think they had to make a move, but Mattison hasn't been awe inspiring so far.
I agree. We've been spoiled with a great running back for years. I think we're going to see a lot of passes in running situations and a lot of 3rd and longs.I think they had to make a move, but Mattison hasn't been awe inspiring so far.
So with Cook being cut will they resign Adrian Peterson who still has not retired?
Aloha!
You're asking if they'll switch RBs?So with Cook being cut will they resign Adrian Peterson who still has not retired?

I have as good of odds being signed by the Vikings as Adrian Peterson does.

Doesn't need to be in today's NFL pass-happy (dare I say Arena League-like) game.

I’ve thought Mattison has been more than serviceable. We’ll see how he adjust to being #1.
So if Cook does not get any offers from the 31 other teams in the NFL will the Vikes make a low budget contract offer?
Aloha!
It sounds like Miami was just waiting for him to be released. So if Cook does not get any offers from the 31 other teams in the NFL will the Vikes make a low budget contract offer?
So US Bank stadium payed off 23 years earlier, to bad the place leaks water and sound is terrible for concerts
https://kstp.com/kstp-news/top-news/us-bank-stadium-paid-off-23-years-early/
Aloha!
It leaks less water than Lambeau... As for the acoustics, I guess it's a good thing it wasn't build for concerts. It's a pretty damn nice football stadium. After suffering through too many years with the cheaply built Metrodome, I'm happy to have it.
From what I briefly saw it sounds like this will save taxpayers about $225 million in interest payments.
I worked at the stadium last year, it could be a clear sky outside and water build up all over the concourses dropping in from the glass covered dome
Aloha!

Leaks suggest rain is coming in but it doesn't rain when there's a clear sky. If what you're saying is true then there must be condensation building up on the inside.
I was only their for one season it was a real joke how they say it’s a great stadium, I won’t pay to get into this place
Aloha!
Okay?
Anyway I did read there was leaking a few years ago and they spent money to fix it. Perhaps you were there before the fix.
ok they paid for more building maintenance a few years ago but I worked there last year they had the same problems
Aloha!
That sounds like the problem isn't leaking, but condensation?I worked at the stadium last year, it could be a clear sky outside and water build up all over the concourses dropping in from the glass covered dome
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Sounds like the glass to me.

The only good things about the Dome... it was a beer vendors stadium. One, small and narrow concourse, two levels with long rows and aisles. Two, 70 and sunny everyday.
Keep your stick on the ice...
All of those things make it a terrible stadium for everyone who wasn't a vendor. Also, it was never sunny in the dome....at least until the dome collapsed. It always killed me to go sit inside the dome on a beautiful sunny day.It leaks less water than Lambeau... As for the acoustics, I guess it's a good thing it wasn't build for concerts. The only thing I miss is the tailgating... and that's not a metrodome thing. But I did enjoy the big Washington Avenue lots with thousands of people tailgating. On cold days it was nice to go into the stadium for warmth. But we still have that....just not the tailgating.
My wife misses the Dome Dog, of all things. LOL
I remember going to games a the Metro dome when it first opened,Twins games and Viking games it was so hot inside the dome without air conditioning
?
Aloha!
@gopher6 Yes. I was too young to attend games in those early years, but I did work for a crew that tore down the stages after the Special Olympics Opening Ceremony when I was in my late teens. They kept the minimum amount of lights on to barely see and they turned off the air conditioning. It was hot as hell and we worked late into the night.
So I can imagine what those days were like.

Only tailgated twice for Vikes on Washington. Once for a TB game, and once for a Bills home opener that started at 3. Brother had tix, and I said "Be there by 9am." He thought I was kidding. Heck of an experience. Even had Benchwarmer Bob climb up in the bed of my brother's pickup truck to have a beer with us (me in my Reimersma Bills gear). My brother was WTF? I said, welcome to a tailgate. 😀
And the Bills won, and on that day, a Vikings kicker got cut by 6pm or so. Missed 2 XP's. I bet you all can find the game I'm talking about.

on more than one occasion I showed up and had the bonfire started while it was still dark. Those were great times. There was an RV that had a beer bong going from people standing in the roof and the tube came out a mannequin’s mouth at ground level. Anyone could come by for a shot or a beer. They’d blast “Who the F is Alice” and hundreds would sing along. All of those things make it a terrible stadium for everyone who wasn't a vendor. I didn't say it was great for being a fan. It was a vendors dream stadium.
