7 should have had a pick earlier in the drive and should have been able to break up that floater for a TD.

I had a bad feeling about that drive when we sat back and let them take 12.5 yards without much effort on a 3rd and 15 when you have to know they’re going to use all four downs.

Of course they can’t just make it easy.

Murphy is going to hate the film on that one.

MN needs a turnover to win this game.

This might have been a bad challenge, probably gave them yards.

Agreed...not a good challenge imho.

Although won't the clock start?

Silver lining is that they’ll change the ruling, so we won’t lose a timeout.

A GREAT time for Blackmon's 1st career INT!!!!

He was our 3rd round pick in this year's draft. He played at USC with Addison.

Same thing he was thinking on his TD only this time the guy was covered.

The was a throw it deep it is one on one but he got hit right in the chest while throwing so he couldn't step into the throw and threw an absolute duck.

I’ll never understand those series. Went backwards and now they have the ball midfield with the two minute warning and a timeout left.

Murphy with a pick that should seal the game.

The defense comes up big on the last three Saints possessions getting a 3 & out and then 2 picks.

The Vikings could run off time by taking a safety since it is a 6 point game.

Maybe one day Fox will realize Dallas being shoved down people's throats is stupid.  They never go anywhere yet everyone pretends they are champs.

Who needs Jefferson? 1-4 with him and 5-0 without him. Although they were 13-4 with him last season and he may have had something to do with it. ?

The Kwesi/KOC era will be going for win 20 next week. How many first time GM/head coaching combos have gone for win 20 in their 28th game?

What a dumb challenge.  Just GAVE the Saints a catch which was ruled incomplete.

A catch for a gain of 0 and starts the clock running and was very close to a fumble and clear recovery for the Vikings. It was a win-win for KOC. It would either start the clock if ruled he was down by contact, or Vikings ball if he wasn't.

I was SHOCKED they didn't flag Metellus for RTP. I don't think he even hit him illegally, he just hit him really hard.

We were never getting that fumble.  The clock running was the only positive.

But if you know for a fact it is a catch and a tackle in bounds and there's even a .01% chance it can end up being your ball it is absolutely the correct decision to challenge. Especially at that stage where there are what, 3-4 plays left that a coach can challenge before the 2 minute warning?

5 yrs, $25MM? Sorry, Kirk, but....

No he is a career backup.  Don't be that guy...

I'm at the airport and in the sky lounge they have the Lions game on...the Chargers coaches are some of the dumbest I have seen.  Good lord 8 plays to score from the 1...

I pretty much just spitballed some numbers. I know the Vikes' situation with salary cap, I know the rumors, etc etc. Definitely don't give him the bank, by any means, but I think if they could get him for a decent amount...I don't see why not. Again, this hinges on if he keeps this up for the rest of the season.

No.  If he wants to stick around as a backup and will take backup pay great.  He is 28 years old his numbers speak for themselves for his career.

Think back to the last backup who made a run for the Vikes...he reverted to his old self the next year.  You ride the blip for the season but short of a SB run he should not be the starter next year.

I'm enjoying the run lets just have fun with this.

It's not my team, so I don't really care. 😉 Would you give him $3MM/year, to be a solid backup, to Kirk (assuming Kirk is to take the predicted pay cut)? If MN doesn't re-sign Kirk, who would they pursue? I don't think they have much faith in a couple of their backups. Hill (that's his name, right?) hasn't had a real chance, so the jury is definitely out on him...

Sure as a backup.  At this point I have no idea who they would pursue but Dobbs is not the future.

That's fair. MN's QB future has a LOT of variables, and I know there are more level-headed thinkers on here than elsewhere. 😉

I was wondering if there has ever been a game that a team scores 3 straight TDs and three 2-point conversions. If NO had their QB it might have happened today.

That's a good question. I'm sure the stat is out there, it's a matter of finding it.

Dobbs has a career 62.2 Comp%. He might not even be the best backup on the team if Hall is healthy. If they ride him the rest of the way fine, but he's not yet proven himself worthy of being your #1 next year, even if they move on from Cousins.

I didn't watch the game vs the Saints, but were some of the hits on Hock similar to what happened vs ATL? A QB can't always protect his receivers, but the good ones don't regularly put them in dangerous situations either.

I'm curious if Dobbs fell into the right system or not. Most definitely he's put receivers at risk, I chalk that up to learning the plays and such.
And Hock...man, he's playing through some hurt.

I don't think he really laid anyone out today. The worst/painful ones on TJ today were all well after the catch. The one previously mentioned where he got flipped up was a catch along the sidelines. TJ caught it and kept his back turned to the DB. DB clipped his feet and Hock flipped up in the air and landed on his shoulder blades and folded over himself. The rest seemed to just be normal plays. But he had like 10 first half catches so he was taking a lot of hits.

No the hits on TJ were normal tackles that if he didn't have bad ribs would not even be noticeable.   Dobbs didn't put anyone in danger.  He threw nice balls for the most part.

I'm not ragging on Dobbs he is playing way better than he should but I think the credit for this goes to the coaches.
