Lineup definitely showing signs of life lately, excluding last night of course.

Was watching at LTD today...did NOT realize it was a replay from last night. Whoops.
I like today's result much better.

After a series opening hiccup the Twins have been taking it to the Rays.

Larnach making things difficult when Kirilloff gets healthy.
Arraez just signed a new one year deal

Jose Miranda officially joins the club!
Twins win 2-1 tonight. Paddack with a great start and Jhoan Duran closed it out for his first save.
Do I live under a rock? I did not know he was Lin's cousin.

I am with you Cowgirl. No idea who Lin-Manuel Miranda is either. I also didn't know who Kim K was but I did know who Kris Humphries was.

My wife is at a conference in Baltimore and she is at the game tonight. From the pictures she sent there is about a 1,000 people there. They upgraded her seats to six rows up from first base when her seats were in the upper deck.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!

I thought you educated youngins would know who created Hamilton. For anyone with kids he's probably just as known for the music in both Moana and Encanto.

FWIW - I'm in my 40's and my kids are teenagers and we all know who Lin-Manuel Miranda is...from Hamilton, Moana, and Encanto. And I'm certainly no theater buff.

Kris Humphries is the only reason I knew that the Kardashians exist.

People finding out Jeffers exists too. This is fun.
Twins are streaking again! Ryan didn't look nearly as good today, which is going to happen sometimes. The bullpen picked up the slack.

My fault. No luck last night, can't keep the ball in the park tonight.
I watch a lot of twins and Wild through the ballys app when I’m working late. If I have to hear the commercial where the guy yells “daddy want, daddy need…” one more time I might throw something. Holy balls for annoying. Sometimes multiple times in one commercial break.

Incredibly annoying. I'd rather have nothing but that damn song that plays during a lot of the commercials, because the kid dances around to it shouting "this is my favorite song!" Pretty entertaining.
Sounds like Correa is heading to the IL with a broken finger after getting hit by a pitch last night. Royce Lewis expected to be called up to make his MLB debut.
Correa avoids a fracture in his finger and an IL trip. Lewis still joins MLB roster, replacing Luis Arraez while he's on the COVID list.
First career MLB homer for Jose Miranda!!

That ball got out in a hurry. Congrats to Miranda. Kid can mash! His ability to jump in and play reasonably well at 1B is huge too, especially considering Sano is out a while and Kiriloff's wrist has really hampered his swing.

Its a great opportunity for him too since he can’t possibly play worse than Sano.
Twins win 4-3 to sweep the Athletics; they've now won 14 of their past 17 games. Good to stay hot, as the White Sox have won 6 in a row and are back over .500

.823 winning percentage is a decent pace. 😀

Well played kid. Is Buxton powered by Skittles? Is this why he gets hurt? Maybe drink more milk, eat more veggies and eat less skittles? Important questions that need answers.
Sounds like Chris Paddack may need tommy john surgery...
Clearly the Astros aren't missing Correa.
Astros opened some cans of slo-pitch softball whoop ass on the Twins. Outscored 21-3 in the three games. Thankfully they return to the "Tier II" portion of the schedule tomorrow night, against Cleveland.
13 guys on the DL for the Twins doesn't help, either.

Royce Lewis with his 1st MLB HR, and he gets a curtain call.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Twins score 14, and no HRs. That's not common, IMO.

Just after I read your post, no more than 5 seconds later I look the tv and the ESPN score tracker has the Twins score and a stat that it's the most runs by the Twins w/o a HR since 2010.
Keep your stick on the ice...
What's really funny is that HOU hit 5 HRs in an inning this week. 😀

Because I’m a sucker for such things, apparently the record for runs scored without a home run is 27 by Cleveland back in the ‘20s

20's though. I know they say 1901 or so is modern era, but I really disagree with that. I'd lean towards 50s-60s, at LEAST 70s with DH and free agency. Then the "fireman" or "closer" was specialized...

I would agree with this..
“MLB considers the post World War II era to be the beginning of the modern age, which places the golden era between the end of World War I and the end of World War II. Much of baseball's golden age was captured in black and white film, adding to the mystique and folklore of the game.”
I guess this Twins game ISN'T over yet. Wow. Was 6-0 KC, now it's 7-6 MN in the top of the 9th.

Seems like every no name guy they plug in has been doing well lately.
was anyone else unable to use the Bally’s app to watch the twins today?
I woke a few times this a.m. onve with the Twins down 1-6 or something and then again to.see they won 7-6. I didn't check further for any other details.
I subsequently had a dream in which I was watching a replay of the game and Buxton had a groundball home run for a 1-0 lead, I then said to my wife I'm going to fast-forward to where they start the comeback.
Dreams can be weird.

I was at LTD, watching the game and the golf, and I said I was going to leave after the 8th, catch the rest of the game on the radio. Inning went forever, so I just left. Couldn't find it on the radio, so got home, checked ESPN site, and hey, up 7-6. Woo hoo!

Holy crap this May schedule is all the bad teams. Something like 3 games all month vs team with winning record (Houston). All others against the bottom dwellers. Time to make hay because June starts off with the top teams of the AL East.

A win's a win, but these games have all been pretty close. That doesn't bode well for next month.
It's fun to watch a team get timely hits like they have been doing, but I doubt their ability to beat good teams with better pitching or even make the playoffs. They have some good young players and hopefully a bright future...that makes them entertaining to watch at least.
What are they going to do with Sano? He's been a frustrating player for me to watch over the years. A guy with a low batting average and high strike out count can make up for all of that with one swing of the bat, but he's 29 years old now. I don't see him ever getting to that next level of pushing his season average up to a respectable level and hitting in key situations. Maybe there are stats out there to justify his position on the team, but I'm pulling back from supporting his roster spot.
