Cathedral gave a solid accounting of themselves against Warroad.
Some weak ‘staches on Northfield
Some weak ‘staches on Northfield
Watching the lineups for both Northfield and Orono and my wife comments that both teams looks like they haven't hit puberty... until I think #21 for Orono and she says "he looks 25"... lol!!!
Keep your stick on the ice...
Former Gopher Mike Luckraft coaching Northfield
Orono jumps out to a lead and Northfield answers back shortly after. 1-1 with 5 to play in the 2nd
Orono/Northfield game is highly entertaining.

^ An actual thing I’m completely expecting him to say any moment now.
1-1 after 2. Highly entertaining game. Bunch of chances as well as physical play.
Looks like OT
Orono is a solid squad. I was surprised to see Minneapolis put up 5 goals on them in the section semis.
I see the hockey hair is alive and well.
Haha #27 for Maple Grove looked angry. ?

Finn Brink, I would imagine quite a few would like to see him flip to the Gophers now that Granato is gone.
Can't say I'm a huge fan of these Cretin sweaters.
They have been the same for forever. Cretin isn't really into the whole flashy change thing.
Down goes Maple Grove to Cretin 3-1.
CDH put on an MSUM like defensive clinic in that game and capitalized just enough to get the W. Maple Grover never really had sustained offensive pressure like you'd expect from a team with that much talent.
Crazy with all the talent MG has had over the last few years that they aren't able to break through at the state tourney.
Great jump on the breakaway by Gast
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

Giles probably had a few words for his defensemen’s backhand sauce at the blue line that led to it.

they made the Championship last year and lost in OT
The AA Tournament seems to be getting better and better in regards to parity each year. Seems like it has been on this course at least the last 5 years or more.
I believe in the last 8 years there haven 8 different Champions.
So a friend of mine just told me Edina goalie 6ft 7 is this true?
Aloha!
Yes. He is very tall.
So a friend of mine just told me Edina goalie 6ft 7 is this true?
That's not unheard of. Ben Utecht played goalie for Hastings. Of course, Ben was only 6'6".

We got a barn burner!
OK, hearing their song, I don't think I can cheer for Moorhead. Somehow, I don't know that I'd ever realized what it was in the past.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Is that Cowan kid from Edina on the Gophers radar?!?!?!
Keep your stick on the ice...
21 for Moorhead should be gone after that punch.
Meltdown by Edina. 2 3-goal leads in the 3rd. Now heading to OT. Once bounce is now all it takes.
Is that Cowan kid from Edina on the Gophers radar?!?!?!
Wonder if there’s any relation to Dave Cowan? Great player at Washburn back in the day. Had a solid career at Duluth. Drafted by the Caps in ‘83 but I don’t know if he played any pro hockey
Moorhead alums must not grow after high school. I’ve seen a couple of them in their letterman jackets. I’ve seen a ‘95 and ‘98… lol!!!

I think Edina was the better team overall, but that was almost an epic collapse. But I guess that's what makes the HS tourney so great....in the NHL, a 3-goal lead is a dead issue. In the tourney, the fun is just getting started.
Javon Moore is huge. Looking forward to watching him play tonight.
1-0 Skippers
Pios tie it up. 1-1
Sure looks like Jack Erickson is going to give Hill a chance tonight
Whoever allowed music to finally be played inbetween whistles deserves a par on the back.
I can’t say I’ve watched every second of these games but has there been a penalty called yet in any of them?
The ice is heavily tilted in Tonka's favor, but Erickson has kept Hill in it. 1-1 after 1.
@trixr4kids a couple.
none in the first game, almost made it through the second game without any, then I believe there were a couple at the end.
One so far tonight.
Hill students raising the bar… they don’t blow up beachballs to volley around. They using condoms… and I won’t tell you which Gopher Hockey legend is taking the fun away and popping them… lol!!!
Keep your stick on the ice...
If the tourney was based on mullets they can just give to Tonka now.
Whoever allowed music to finally be played inbetween whistles deserves a par on the back.
Lots of cover bands replaying classic 80s toons. And some originals as well.

Seems the way to beat Erickson is to have a puck come off the back wall and surprise him. 2-1 Skippers
Hill again ties it right back up. 2-2.
Hill getting away with a ton of stick work on D.
Bit of a scary spot for the Skippers as Hill likely has a locker room full of guys that believe they can do this tonight
