Just think if they would not have crapped the bed against North Carolina? Every year they lose to an inferior team or teams and then win a game against a team they shouldn't. This is Gopher Football and drives me crazy.
Lol, that’s Minnesota sports to a ‘T’
I know I’m really late to the party with this question but why was there no band at a huge home football game?? Where else could they possibly have to be?

The band was there. They leave their section at the end of the game for the on field show after the game ends.
Next week in Pasadena is going to be fun
So the Gophers beat USC and are now going to the Rose Bowl. 😉
I've always wanted to see the Gophers play in the Rose Bowl.
There should have been a huge hold on the game-winning INT.
Saw a tweet that several recruits were at the game. If a game like that can't sell you on the program nothing will.
From what I heard there was holds all game.
Gophers open as 5.5 point favorites against UCLA.
From what I heard there was holds all game.
Any time they left their RT on an island against Joyner they could have thrown a flag basically. Joyner was eating him alive.
I didn’t see the entire game yesterday and only caught the end. That said it’s cool to see them get a big win after playing Michigan close in a game that started horribly and could’ve been won without some reffing F’ery. The Iowa and UNC games were pretty rough but you can at least see some potential emerging in key spots. Hopefully they can keep improving and become more consistent as the season goes on.
I still don't get "brandishing a weapon." What was the weapon?

he lifted his shirt as one would to show they had a gun tucked in their waistline.
if that was the intent, I’m okay with a penalty.
A classic scene from Boyz N The Hood is the reference:I still don't get "brandishing a weapon." What was the weapon?

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
I saw this plenty in college games to start the year. I’m guessing the league caught on to what it meant and sent a memo to the teams that it would no longer be allowed. The reaction or non-reaction by the rest of the team seems to indicate they knew it was a penalty.
The TV broadcast said it was a point of emphasis...

The result? The comment? The perspective? The mindset? The agreement?
All of the above?
Saturday night was so much fun. The only thing that nagged at me were some of the negative people in my section who took every opportunity to say something negative at any hint of a bad vibe. It's so contagious as well. Crowd had a little bit of a lull in the 3Q, but team came to play and made it happen.
I was surprised at how well the Gophers ran the ball against USC -- very promising turnaround for them. DT has picked up a habit of having issues as he approaches a messy line of scrimmage, but some of his explosive runs are what make him special when he does find the cut.

We ran a lot of stretch zone in college and my coach always said the big runs come when the back can plant his foot and cut against the grain... but the back has to be violent with that cut.
This is some cult behavior.

Well yeah they’re on a football team lol
Pretty sure half this flight to LA is going to the game this weekend!
UCLA attendance is sad...
Too bad the Gophers TE dropped that beautiful pass. Now UCLA is driving deep.
UCLA is last in the B1G for 3rd down conversions and are 3/3 so far. The Gophers punted on both of their 1st two possessions. I hate when they play like this.
The only thing more uninspired than our play is how silent the fans are. Good lord Northwestern is louder...
btw it doesn't help that the UCLA OL is getting away with a ridiculous amount of holding. They make the Packers look like amateurs.
I dunno being here it looks more like our Dline can't get off blocks.
How do you not call that helmet to helmet?
I dunno being here it looks more like our Dline can't get off blocks.
I've seen several instances of blatantly holding the shoulder pads to the point of twisting the defender more than 90 degrees.
Maybe tell the players because they aren't complaining about it. (Until last drive)
I know what I can effing see. I'm not usually a ref complainer either.
Why can’t this group resemble anything close to a football team in the first half of a game?

I don't know but the offensive coaching is not doing them any favors...
A lot of first time fans in our section...people explaining how the game works. Weird...
We moved and now are sitting with some parents...including Taylor's who just got very excited 😉
After being down 10-0 at the half, Gophers score 14 straight in part due to a huge INT by Koi!
That INT was sick!
Seriously half the UCLA fans don't know basics. Even my SO is mocking them and she never watches football.
Another sick reception by Jackson.
Have the stripes calling 1, just 1 offensive hold on UCLA?
Keep your stick on the ice...
#2 was burned on the td before the play started. He retreated so badly he knew he couldn't cover him and was beat from the jump.
Our Dline and LBs are not playing well. Outside is pick #45 is a black hole out there.
We have 178 yards of offense...that is not going to win many games.
The Gophers punt with under three minutes left but get the ball back (with 2:16 left) using all three of their timeouts.
How many time outs did we get this half? How did we still have three time outs left? Coach always use timeouts in the first and third quarters.
PJ has gone against type all game including TOs 😯 🤣
Too bad they couldn't find a way to get a win over UNC or Michigan. 5-2 would look pretty good.
Almost as good as the win was seeing DHG get salty over it. 🤣
Great time out management by PJ ( 😯 ) leads to a Gopher winning TD with 27 seconds left.
If not for the incorrect off sides call (that the Big Ten admitted was wrong) the Gophers could have wins against Michigan, USC, and UCLA over the past 15 days.
The Gophers enjoy playing these PAC 12 teams from Los Angeles.
City of Angels… USC lost at the Coliseum… UCLA lost at the Rose Bowl.
Keep your stick on the ice...
The parents were having way too much fun the last 2 minutes of the game!
It ain't always pretty but wins are wins!
And yes I admit I was mad we punted until it was downed at the 3. I was wrong.
Gophers = Kings of LA
I've always said I wanted to see the Gophers win in the Rose Bowl. 😉
