because two plays in thirty seconds, one of which could be running a special teams package out there is significantly more than 30 seconds. Best case you take the time to call the right play (playcall can be criticized) and get a first down and continue the drive hoping for 7. Worst case you kick a long field goal with the wind and kick off with the wind at your back.
Better than haphazardly running a couple plays and coming away with nothing.

JWG I agree with you but when the line folds like a deck of cards every other play it’s not entirely on him. Honestly he did good to avoid giving up two points the one drive.
