MSU is blitzing a lot and Athan and DJack are making them pay.
Athan tries to force a throw on a rollout and it gets intercepted.
After the play a MSU defensive lineman slams him to the turf and doesn't get a flag for it.
Wouldn't give the ball back to Minnesota but absolutely should have been 15 yards farther back for MSU.

O-line taking control. Nubin's playing history is interesting. Looks like he has barely carried the ball prior to this season, including high school. Makes you wonder how many yards Taylor or Evans would have.
Crap. Walley makes a great play on a bubble screen but stays on the field. Looks like he got his bell rung pretty good.
MSU brings in their true freshman QB and the Gopher defense doesn't seem to know how to handle his mobility. They roll down the field for a TD but don't get the two point conversion.

Spartans try a surprise onside kick and Rhyland Kelly makes a great play to recover while getting blasted by a member on the kick coverage team who then gets called for targeting (under review).
This is considered defenseless player but I don't think this targeting should be upheld. Shoulder hit right to Kelly's shoulder. Looks as clean as it gets.
Update: targeting flag is picked up. Right decision.

Chris Autman-Bell. That was a great block getting Nubin to the edge.
Not sure if they showed it on TV, but Crab didn’t go to the end zone to celebrate. Looked a little banged up on that one. AK and two lineman made a point to dap him up before going to celebrate with the rest of the offense. Then when he reached the sidelines he was getting a lot of props for that block.
The Gophers dominated in every facet of the game except turnovers, "but Fleck blah blah blah!!". ? Yes MSU is a bad football team, but the Gophers seriously lack depth and still won by 15. I don't know what they're expected to lose vs. bring in for next year, but if the net result is talent improvement they could be a very solid team.

The Gophers still have the highest points scored this year against Michigan. It’s a 10, but it’s still more than anyone else. It doesn’t mean anything obviously. Just fun to point it out.
Big game for the lads today. I have no illusions about where the rest of the season may lead, but a "W" keeps them tied for first in the B1G Less. They'll likely get vaporized at OSU in a couple weeks, but the other games (including the season finale against Wisco) are quite winnable.
