His "uncle" was on gopher hole a month ago saying Aaron was completely bought in to the U and to the coaches
It gets said every recruiting cycle...getting excited over verbal commits is a waste of breathe. A lot can change before they put pen to paper. Hopefully he ends up somewhere that makes him happy.
Let me throw out the obligatory "NIL" reason... 😉
IDK if he has picked up offers since he committed to Minnesota but the offer list he had when he committed here did not include many (maybe any?) P5 schools.
Jacob Knuth (RS Frosh QB) has left the team. Weird...
WTF…
A lot of spring departures.
Sounds like he dropped behind the true freshman and was 4th on the depth chart.
not ideal as we have 3 scholarship QBs on the roster, Athan, Cole Kramer and Drew Viotto.

Just the new reality now with the portal.
As spring ball picks up and guys see themselves sliding down depth charts they can opt to transfer now. Not super shocking.
Hope the kids land somewhere and have a bunch of success (as long as it isn't against Minnesota).
The fact that the spring transfer window has been moved up to start on the 15th doesn't help either. You get kids who opt out either before or halfway through spring ball because they feel like they need to get into the portal early and not half way through.

I mean if you need to go past QB2 you are likely in trouble anyways. At least the Gophs tend to run a more run focused offense so the QB should be much safer.
My guess is Knuth moves either Mid-Major or below.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Dylan Wright put up a video which makes it seem like he might be coming back...
Big one here. Need to get him on campus.

These commitments mean nothing until December. Need to figure out how to make them stick through until LOI day.
I wouldn't say they mean nothing, but I get what you are saying. I'm excited for the talent that PJ has been able to recruit here.
Annual spring game once again moved indoors and closed to the public. They need a better solution. Hard to build hype when you can’t even get people the option to care.
Get a back up plan with US Bank stadium.
Spring Games are stupid...and friggin meaningless. I would prefer the NCAA just did away with them.
And commitments only matter when they sign on the dotted line. Ask Ben Johnson...
Pretty fun watching Winston DeLattiboudere coaching on the sidelines. He is fired up during drills and sticks his nose in holding the blocker pads etc. Seems like the kind of guy kids would love playing for.
He also looks like he could still play at a high level. He is ripped.
Edit: This is the video clip they shared on the BTN broadcast

The in-state commits have generally held their commitments to Gopher football. These commitments mean nothing until December. Need to figure out how to make them stick through until LOI day.
True but take nothing for granted. Best to just wait until they sign before really getting excited.
I was shocked that the spring game was on the radio. You have to be a super fan to listen to the spring game on the radio, which I am not.

It is essentially a open practice, so fans can get out and get support for the team. But basically a scripted practice.Spring Games are stupid...and friggin meaningless. I would prefer the NCAA just did away with them.

I believe he committed to a school over the weekend.

I went to 2 of them (1 under Kill and 1 under Fleck) and they are just boring and unneeded. In an era when the team basically puts out hype videos on social media every 12 seconds there is no need to have open practices for the fans to get hyped about.
