The Twins have fewer hits in the last 2 games then home runs hit by the Yankees
Aloha!
100%…this was a bait & switch from the start (last Fall) to take heat off management & ownership for the epic September collapse. If you go back to whenever the BS started about them selling the team I am pretty sure I said that was never going to happen. I never bought it for a second...
You certainly could be right that this was a bait and switch but IMO it is yet another case of the Pohlads not reading the room. As owners they can do what ever the hell they want to but I continue to not see how the decisions they are making make any sense including from a business sense. You have to spend money to make money. Target Field will be a ghost town next year and getting people's hopes up that they might sell and not doing so IMO only makes the situation worse.
I will continue to root for the players, manager, and GM I use to be a partial season holder but haven't gone to a Twins game in a handful of years and I don't see that changing any time soon.

I’m not following your logic? What is the bait and switch? Attendance has been low for a year and a half!? Fans haven’t been excited since 2023 prior to the owners announcing a payroll cut. They are just continuing to worsen fan attitudes as long as they continue to make poor decisions.
It is a known fact that they wanted to sell to Ishiba, but he opted to purchase the White Sox. That wasn’t smoke and mirrors. My hunch is they didn’t get anywhere near the amount they wanted to, and decided to not sell full stakes as a result. They’ve sold off as a family numerous parts of their empire in the last few years as the family continues to descend through the generations and as a result their wealth decentralises.

@youngeagle Believe whatever you want…if they legitimately wanted to sell the team, it would be sold by now. There’s always more than one legitimate buyer when you truly want to sell. They didn’t…End of Story.
Or just sell a controlling interest to someone/group, one that will actually INVEST in this team.

Buy a lottery ticket. The Twins beat the Yanks! 😮

I'd like to thank @karlsson for not watching.... 🤔 🤣

People have to stop attending Twins games. It’s the only “way” to hit the Pohlad's where it hurts.
Yes! 100% What MikeEruzione11 said. I would go as far as to say don't even go if the tickets are given to you. Make it a ghost town for the last month and a half and don't spend a dime on food or beverages.
I hate it for the current players but somehow a message has to be sent.
Is this meant to be a JOKE? They have been an utter embarrassment…since spring of 2024, make no mistake, the Twins are counting on the RUBE-IDIOT tendencies & short term memory of MN fans to bail them out of this PR debacle.

Fixed your post. 😛

After Thursday's game:

Just hoping too few people are showing up to chant that loud in the future.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Twins were on FOX last night vs Tigers and in the bottom of 8th trailing 6-5 they load bases with 2 outs, go ahead run in scoring position & Brooks Lee up to bat (he already had 3 RBI in the game) & he promptly strikes out on 3-4 pitches That’s the Twins in 2025 & LOSERVILLE personified. lol
What strikes me is what 34 years of LOSERVILLE has done to MN PRO Sports fans Basically evolved into the definition of whatever our failed team owners (especially the Pohlads) do…MN fans are simply resolved to EAT SHIT while pretending they aren’t eating 💩 from team owners!
I think at this point, most who go to the games already had tickets, so why waste them? It honestly makes sense to me.

Twins hit their 1st Grand Slam this season today win 8-1
Aloha!
Brooks Lee!
He was up with the bases loaded last last night and they flashed a stat that he had yet to hit one. Good for him!

Of course my satellite went out because of the rain during his at bat....

They've been saying it on the Power Trip for a few weeks. 85% of tickets for the Twins are sold before the season starts. People have tickets, why not use them. Next year though may get worse.
Baseball at an mlb ballpark is a pretty cool thing especially for kids, growing up it was part of our summer family trip to the cities, valley fair, the zoo, and a Saturday night game at the met. I can’t remember scores but do think the twins were kinda bad. Definitely didn’t care about ownership, contracts, or anything about finances. I just remember who I was with and where the seats were that gave me the sights, sounds and smells of being there. I’m personally forever thankful for those memories and when I see kids on tv at twins games it takes me back in time a little and it’s a pretty good feeling. Thanks mom and dad! Now as a parent continue that tradition and make memories that I know my kids are grateful for.
Royce Lewis is losing his darling status with the remaining Twins fans by these comments. I've heard rumors about his "me" first attitude before.

This isn’t surprising when the ownership sell off creates confusion in the locker room. When pohlads made it all about themselves the players are supposed to feel like it’s all about team? I don’t really blame anyone on that team for feeling anything they do. They were left to finish a season with a direction of rebuilding but yet trust is gone now. If you were a player on the twins with a contract year coming up you almost have to feel like trade bait knowing what just happened. It’s gotta be hard to crank up the intensity consistently after the big break up for some of the players that were just in the post season a couple years ago.
Of course it’s the Phillies 😂 hoping we’re up by 10 in the 9th so Duran doesn’t come in and close it out. That would open some wounds.
After a couple of little league base running errors, the Twins score 4 in the 9th to take a 3 run lead into the bottom of the 9th. Then give up a couple of hits and get Vlad Jr to fly out for the final out with the tying run on base. Never easy.

Here is another way to summarize the game the Twins storm back from down 4-0 scoring 7 straight runs to beat the first place Blue Jays 7-5.

That would have been easier but would not show the amount of yelling at the TV the 8th and 9th innings brought. 🤣

Another one slips away to too many long balls. 🤦♀️
Well that escalated quickly. Twins up 3-1 and just like that it’s 10-3. 🤦♀️
@cowgirl Instead of face palming in disgust/frustration you might want to try doing this with both hands so you cover up both eyes and therefore don't see the horror. 😆 😊
I prob could paint something so you could watch it dry. Call it a civic duty.

And today the Twins up 7-0 to view the game you need access to Roku
Aloha!
The Twins were 5 for 12 (.417 batting average) today with runners in scoring position.
The Twins win the series against the San Diego Padres (LA Dodgers you are welcome 😉).

The problem is he's been statistically one of the worst hitters in baseball over the last 20 months. If he wants to get paid to "take care of himself and his family" you'd think he'd take a step back and realize whatever he's trying to do without the assistance of the coaching staff is not working and he'd go into the film room and start making some adjustments to get back to the guy that had Twins fans and all of MLB in a tizzy for how great he was hitting. Most of the changes they'd make at this point aren't massive swing changes. They're more likely hand starting position, load position, etc. They aren't going to overhaul his entire swing path in-season. But minor changes like changing your hand setup or load setup can be done in a couple days worth of work and pay immediate dividends.
Sox down to their last strike and hit the ball on the line in the corner to score two and go up.

The Twins trade away their whole bullpen at the trade deadline.
I'm thinking not. 🤨
Will Chicago move up in the central division and the Twins fall into last place?

Not likely but not mathematically impossible given the number of games left.

Now compare to how abysmal every player the Twins got.

The abysmal players are largely all prospects. Comparing 18-24 year old players that are going to be changing their approach at the plate, pitch mix, delivery, etc. to established proven veterans that were all acquired at the deadline to help make a pennant push is laughably stupid but if that's what you want to hang your hat on, go for it.

A glimmer of hope would have been nice but they all have either sucked or got hurt. All you had to say is "I can't find anything good to say about any of the young prospects we got from selling half the team, so I will make fun of the person that brought it up".

And that’s fair, I don’t know Royce or what he’s saying at the dinner table I’m just sayin I get his frustration with the organization and probably can’t wait for this season to be over. His performance isn’t typical Royce I don’t know if his care level is where it should be either right now.
