Should be a good series. Expecting St. Thomas to be competitive and they split with a solid St. Cloud State team this weekend with a pair of one goal games. Get off to a good start.

Underestimate the Tommies at your own peril. Nothing more dangerous than a team with something to prove. They’ve always played hungry but now they have a splash of skill to back it up.
Bob says we’ll lose Nevers for a while. Injury bug already here and we haven’t played a game yet. Will be good to have Huglen back.
Edit: for a while might not be the best term. I’m thinking couple weeks most likely.

Based on what I heard last night, I expect Nevers will be held out of competition for a bit. It took him a while to get up after the collision and it looked like his head might have hit the ice without a helmet. The amount of vitriol on twitter about the hit is not necessarily surprising, but also makes me sad.
I posted a reply to JD about an NHL hit being the 'clean' way to hit someone with their head down... although even I wonder if this Trouba hit should be a penalty in the NCAA as it's more than just a hit to seperate a player from the puck, it's to intimidate and impose your physical will on your opponent... he still said there is some onus on the player to keep his head up. Agree to disagree in the big picture.

It's not like Trouba was skating from a distance to catch a player who's unaware. On this play, Trouba just comes to a full stop and closes off the lane to the center of the ice. I think it's a pretty clean play.
Gophers win 7-3 both nights which means Culvers again Saturday night. I was surprised St. Thomas beat St. Cloud, they are for sure better this year. The Gophers will take this season one game at a time and not overlook any team. I'm looking forward to them winning it all in St. Paul this year. They have a really great team this year and will only get better.
So tomorrow night's game is on Fox9's main channel, I know Fox9 has a live stream for their broadcasts, but do we know if that'll be blacked out or anything?
If I can stream those Fox9 games on their website this season just got way more enjoyable than last year's Bally induced headache.

I am very leery of this for us out of the metro fans. I have Roku, and it has Fox9 on it. The Fox9 that I get only has the local Fox9 news and their locally produced shows on it. I can not stream the Fox Tv shows or any sports events that were being shown on Fox9. I live in Mn, but in the Sioux Falls TV market so I'm assuming I get those blacked out because of that fact. If you are in the Fox9 viewing area you may have a shot. BTW, my Roku channel guide has the hockey pregame show on at 7pm, but then news at 7:30.... I hope my hunch is wrong on this.

If I look at their guide on fox9.com I do see College hockey listed. Now if that's a good indicator of if the game is going to be available for streaming on their website is up in the air, but it's at least something I can hope for, lol.

So, don't want to panic about PWR, and it really isn't worth looking at before the holiday break, but, non-con games have a huge impact.
Exactly. You don't need to "worry" per se about the actual rating, but it's foolish not to recognize that NC games don't play a part and are a significant reason why the BT rated so high last year - because collectively the conference dominated NC.

Not sure if this works outside of metro, but in the metro. If you have Roku or cable and no 9+ just slap on an antenna from the store if you need one. Then switch from Roku or cable to antenna and scan the channels you will then have 9 and 9+

As of now I have found a feed, but an 830 a.m. game time is not ideal given the S.O. wants us out of the house by 11 a.m. which means NO sleep. Someone needs to talk to her.

I noticed in their jersey release photoshoot they only had numbers on the maroons so far. Not sure if they wore the maroons because those are the ones they had all set up, or if they made sure to set them up so they could wear them first...
