I find it interesting that when we out shot an opponent and aren't winning the story is we need to do a better job of being more effective with our shots but when we are getting out shot and are winning the story is we don't deserve to be winning. Apparently the only way we can deserve a win is to out shot an opponent but if an opponent beats us while being out shot we got what we deserved because we weren't effective with our shots so apparently either way our opponent is more deserving. ?

The stream quality is WAY better tonight than it was at Michigan. Not listening to the announcers, bu the camera work, visual quality, etc, is much better.

In a span of 80 minutes of game action after Snuggy got kick out 5 minutes into the 2nd period of the last game through 2 periods tonight the Gophers scored 9 goals.

what a weird 3rd. zero threats from PSU and they just seemed like they gave up with about 8 mins. left. our pressure had something to do with it but super odd to not even see them press/pull the goalie to try.
Last two periods were well played, no complaints there. Seemed like they left all their bad hockey for one period and still lead after it. Crazy to think they could play better tomorrow after a 4-1 win.

Even though they put a ton of shots ( lol ) on Close, I really liked they way the Gophers played defensively tonight. Not a ton of rebounds. They really backed in to help protect the goal. I was hoping Nevers would have had his goal count to relieve the pressure on him. The Farm Kid and Brodzy really have chemistry. Great win and I hope those who were panicking after the first 10 minutes took a depth breath..

Gophers with a painfully slow start...thought it might be one of those nights. PSU was dumbstruck after MN scored twice on its first two shots. They looked defeated after that. It didn't help their cause that their forwards play on only three-quarters of the rink.
Minnesota with a potent, puck-hungry offense tonight and a great D structure as a team. I think it's the best two periods they've had all season.
The good news is that they are doing this without getting a lot from Moore. If he cones on in the second half, it will be like hitting the afterburner.
Only watched first two periods. Once I saw gophers scoring and PSU defense not touching our guys in front I was dumbstruck. They stood there in a position and left our guys alone. What do they think their job is? We should sweep.
