When you are that rich you’re set for life unless your parents hate you. They can just get a job the parents find for them if hockey doesn’t work out. Also the hockey community in general looks out for its own when it comes to post hockey careers.

I would love to get Lamb to play another year of juniors. I also can’t really say Moldenhauer and Spicer are better/more ready than him.
I do think there could be more kids pushed back due to portal and maybe options change in coming weeks…and I am still holding onto Hope with Jackson Hallum.

And my reaction to the young commit list and how they turned out is players were committing to the Gophers and then got big heads or got lazy and their peers caught them or passed them by the time they made it to campus. There was an even bigger risk of this the earlier they committed. The change to older commitments was a very good thing for the U.

It isn't out of the realm of possibility. There has been an exodus of forwards for some reason.
I would understand Bob telling certain super seniors that there is no scholarship available since he has new freshman to deal with. But we aren't just losing super seniors and this isn't a playing time issue now that we have 12 forwards. So why are they all leaving?
Assume for a minute that Goldy Shuffle is correct and the Lucuis departures aren't due to an unhappy daddy. What's going on? Are they related to the other departing forwards or their own separate issue?

Clearly there was some kind of rift with the Lucius family. There are always 2 sides and we we don’t really know either side and prob never will.
I don’t think calling it an e exodus is fair either. We kept our most important forward and D men and are bringing in a great freshman class. There is room for the Lucius family and Gophers to find success in the future.

When I think of d-bag hockey parents I always go back to the conversation I had with one time Gopher recruit Mitch Hults’s dad here in Mankato when Mitch was in town with Lake Superior State. Listening to his dad talk about Minnesota and tDon and how his kid was the best thing since sliced bread all the while Mitch wasn’t a top 6 forward even on that team. Here is a serious question though…what is the dad going to do if both Lucius kids end up hurt and have no degree or life experience outside of practicing and playing hockey? What does the Lucius dad even do that he can buy his kid’s way through life?
Likely just give them jobs at the financial services company he founded.
