Snuggerud has been very hit and miss this season. Needs to wake up.
This team will be fine. They just need the power play to get going. They have the talent to have a good PP it just isn't clicking right now. They are always trying to set up Snuggy (which I get) but so far it isn't working. Some other guys need to start shooting the puck more.
The Farm Kid has lost his mojo on draws as well.

Faceoffs have felt like a problem in multiple games
Close got an assist on the Clark goal.
The Pitlick, Moore, Snuggy line is going to score.
Michigan has gotten away with multiple penalties this period. Coach is yelling at the ref.
Clark 3-3.

I really hate the BIG+ app. I can't keep it streaming to my Chromecast and need to kill the app to reset.
If the BIG is going to go to streaming that is fine but get your app on streaming devices so we can watch it.
End of rant, for now.
Clark takes over Huglen's spot centering Kurth & Lamb and has two goals. Will Huglen get his spot back? ?
Come on boys, go on and win it! (Btw listening to games sure is boring).

@boats Kurth won a huge puck battle. Kurth with two big primary assists on the tying and game winning goals.
I want it on Samsung, but, yeah, Roku is good too.what!? It is on Roku now? If so, I stand corrected. Not a fan of the production value, but for streaming:I really hate the BIG+ app. I can't keep it streaming to my Chromecast and need to kill the app to reset.

The Gophers out score Michigan 4-1 even strength to win!!!!
Huge huge huge
I didn’t watch the game but it looks like the Gophers had their asses handed to them in face offs. How can they be soooo bad at face offs every single year?
Love the win, but they need to shore some things up especially in their own end and on the PP if they want to avoid a split.
Thank you Connor Kurth!! What an outstanding play.
Season's not over?

The team was 51.1% on faceoffs going into today.
Tonight: Nelson was 12-11, Moore was 5-12, Clark was 5-10, Mittelstadt was 0-3, Lamb was 1-0
The two freshmen (Moore and Clark) were not good in the face off dot tonight.
I am so happy. I really don't like that Michigan team LOL. Feels like we stole one there, come out tomorrow and play a full 60 minutes.
Go Gophs
@collegehockeyaddict Kurth needed this game bad. Especially after having the puck right there in OT last weekend. I am a huge Kurth believer, so glad he had a game tonight.

This stat surprised me. It looked like he was losing a ton of them. Maybe it was the glare from the TV and I couldn't see his wins... ?
Edit--- Wally said the Gophers won only 39%. I would say that sounds closer to the truth. I think CHN stats were not accurate.

Really love Jimmy Clark.
Definitely a lot of things to clean up. Can make a strong case they stole one tonight, but feels good to be on the plus side of one of those.
Only way to follow anything was on here so thanks everyone! Yes a win there is huge for sure!
Last year Lamb as a freshmen had 4 goals and 4 assists in 39 games.
This year Lamb has 5 goals and 4 assists in 9 games.
I'm not sure how Minnesota pulled that off. They were 0fer 7 minutes on the power play, gave up goals on 2 of 3 Michigan power plays, and surrendered about 40 shots on goal...and won.
It helps that Michigan doesn't cover the front of its own net. ?
(To Minnesota's credit, they never stopped working and produced a strong 3rd period after getting thrashed in the second.)
I thought they could maybe force overtime down 3-1 to end the 2nd but that late goal made it possible to do one better and just win in regulation. Really liked the forecheck and how they got some goals down low. Ideally they can do that more often with all their big bodies.
4 even strength goals and a really good goalie is a recipe for a lot of wins. Get the Power Play going and it is look out.
people also forgetting we’re down a center so seems like a silly series to rag on thisThe team was 51.1% on faceoffs going into today.

What is shown above adds up to 23-36 which is 39%

I used the B1G+ app on Apple TV and it was flawless... (Minus the broadcast quality/announcers)

if you need any more proof on how great CHN can be, in the last minute I just got alerts for the first three goals of the game.
and there’s the fourth. ?
Jersey #25 must be the extra jersey this year as Fish and now J Mittelstadt have had to use it. Just glad to see John M back after that nasty hit.

Clark playing 4th line center for the first 8 games didn't take many draws (tonight's 4th line center J Mittelstadt only took 3 draws). It is not unusually for freshmen centers to struggle on face off. I suspect this was one of the reasons for a couple games earlier in the season Moore played left wing with Lamb centering. Getting Huglen back next week for face offs would be good but Clark playing with Lamb and Kurth sure worked tonight scoring the last three goals of the game. Coach will have a tough decision if that line has a good game again tomorrow.
And that silence you hear...
