Definitely. They’ve again called off the dogs a bit, but are more committed to pressuring the puck carrier and covering passing lanes.

In reality we only needed about 6 to be better than the BADgers...but the second period was what we have seen most of the year. Gophs getting to the loose pucks first, crisp passing great chances and solid D. WI looks shell shocked.

It’s was obviously NOT a head butt. He was off balance, Faber had a hold of the bottom of his jersey and pulled him towards him and their masks barely made contact. A lot of penalties aren’t about intent but if he was actually gonna do something as dumb as head butt Faber it would have been way harder than that.
The replay did them no favors on the headbutt, in slow mo it looked way worse than it was.
Wisconsin gets 2 back out hustling the Gophs who look a bit out of sorts.

WI will win ugly if they need to, because they have to this year. They have talent, it's just not at the same level, and if other teams take them lightly, uh oh. MI lost. We didn't dominate like last night, and even last night, it took them scoring a goal to light a fire under our arses....

There is no doubt Faber pulls him by the jersey but the Badger player did lower/lead with his head to make sure they hit head to head (a head butt). The Badger player is 6'3" and Faber is 6'1". The refs are told to be tough on contact to the head and the Badger player made sure they hit head to head.
In a lot of way I would like this not called a 5 minute major just like I would like the Cooley face mask earlier in the season not called a 5 minute major but they both were. The bottom line is players need to avoid contact to the head. Whether we agree with it or not.
