Reminds me of a game I was at as a kid at old Mariucci with Dad. Their was a drunk guy at the game who kept yelling "Get Chorske off the Ice". By the 3rd period the crowd was heckling the drunk guy since Tom had 2 goals and an assistant.
Yeah get Chroske off the ice before he scores a hat trick. ?
35 years later and I still think about this once in a while wondering what his beef was with Tom Chorske? He was one of the Gopher's best players on those mid/late 80s teams. ?

Roughing the goaltender? He bumped into Close coming across but it was hardly roughing.
In their first meeting last season the Badgers won 4-3 on a 3 on 3 OT goal which caused Gopher fans on this board to be quite angry apparently it also angered the Gopher players. In the last four meetings the Gophers have out scored the Badgers 24-2.

It was interference (he hit the glove when he was making a save at least it looked like to me) not sure why they called roughing. Maybe they felt he hit him a bit harder than he should have.
This team is so good at getting the puck and moving it around the ice. Sometimes it seems like they have magnets or something. And man are they good at picking the pockets of the other team. Its kinda crazy!
Too bad the season is a disaster 😉

I’m not sure if anyone else noticed, but it looked like Johnson was having a rough night. With how well the other D were playing it really stood out. Even looked like he was benched for a while in the 2nd?

Gophers got real lackadaisical on defense after the 1st period. Close had to make too many grade A saves in the last two periods.
We won 7-1 tonight and we weren’t even playing our best hockey for parts of that game. Great game and a lot of to be at. But at times we were really loose and careless with the puck. But at times we were scintillating. Would like to see more of that Michigan State Friday night game type of play tomorrow night. But that’s my only criticism of tonight. Let’s come out tomorrow and get that sweep!
