On the B1G+ full game replay, it seemed more like crowd-control misconducts for the Nelson bros. And Sammy Nelson's hit on Palodichuk in Friday night's game also didn't seem all that malicious, more a 17y/o kid being awkward with his size and the pace of college hockey. He didn't seem angry or frustrated on that sequence at all.
Kerr, Klee, Werner, and Gruba were the main ones thugging it up and throwing malicious cheapshots all weekend.
think some of it Quinlan has been atrocious and has a -9.4 xGA and a .903 xSv% (so he's about 7% below expected).
I agree their xG metrics are not great comparatively, more just referencing it wasn't a game that the xG were like 6 or 7-1. The goalies have to be not great to give up 9, but some of that can happen when you're just not playing as hard/pushing off your posts as quickly because you're getting shit on
on the penalties, more a team culture thing. not exactly what i'd want my high end talent playing if that's what you're surrounded by. Was referring to the older Nelson as the higher skilled misconduct because he has to on that type of team. Agree Sammy I don't think was a malicious penalty. just a bad place to develop
