let’s go!
Good lord, too many men on a PP is another level of incompetency.
Nevers!!!!!!!!!
No goal is called.
Gophers are challenging.
Nelson was checked into the goalie.
I feel like Nelson actually did try to avoid him.
That should be a goal.
Bull $hit
Coach is pissed.
It feels like we never win challenges. I was 50/50 on that call. The PSU player definitely put Nelson off balance.
Apparently checking players into your goalie is an effective way to keep your opponents from scoring.
That is a HUGE call.
Getting to 3-0 would have been big.
My guess is they think Nelson changed direction and that the contact didn’t cause him to go toward/into the goalie.
or that he could have avoided to the left of the goalie. My guess is they think Nelson changed direction and that the contact didn’t cause him to go toward/into the goalie.
Don't let that bother us and just keep at it.
End of 1, Gophs up 2-0.

Another period win by the Gophers. They have now won 3 of the 4 periods in this series.
Like you said I’m pretty 50/50 on that one, Nelson sold it well and made a really quick ppheads up play if he did that intentionally.
Good lord, too many men on a PP is another level of incompetency.
That one is on Close. Shot the puck right at our bench during a change. Usually you do that to the other team to draw that penalty.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Nice check Sparty. 🤣 Damn Snuggy is strong on his skates.
Nelson was on one skate and slightly off balance when he got hit. He had started to cut in front of the crease when he was hit.No goal is called.
Gophers are challenging.
Nelson was checked into the goalie.

Yep and the reason Nelson was cutting was to avoid contact with the goalie but then he got hit which by the way is inference since he doesn't have the puck.
Apparently icing gets called now even when the puck doesn't cross the red line. 🤔
We don't need to follow the rules.
Pino playing with the first line? Lol.. unreal!
How do you look at the replay of that and still wave off the goal? And if you’re waving off the goal then that’s an interference penalty on MSU. A total CYA by the refs.
MOORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Ollie is heating up
Moore 3-0.

This has to be the worst ice in the big ten. It looks absolutely terrible.
Where’s Pitlick? Why Pino on the top?
Where’s Pitlick? Why Pino on the top?
Apparently the only player Bob feels comfortable punishing is Pitlick. Comical
The Ollie goal was unassisted he made the steal and then finishes it.
@bigbeer 100%. That was clearly interference OR a goal. No way Nelson could do anything there. He either runs right into the goalie or.... not sure what they think the other option was. He is moving, 220#, and obviously trying to avoid smoking Augustine. Terrible call. Keep moving Gophers we have to start putting these types of games away and play to WIN not play NOT TO LOSE. Smoke these guys
Basgall 1-3, PPG.

I’d like to see a replay if that zone entry on their PP. It looked offside. We don’t have a challenge anyways.
Huglen hits the post.
Pitlick is back on the 1st line.

Refs are horse bleep. That was a goal according to the definition they gave on tv. The call on Middlestadt was a joke, too. What's he supposed to do, stand there and get steamrolled?
I'm not sure I've ever seen so many unforced errors in a game since my kid was a peewee. Pucks are dribbling off sticks and players are whiffing like someone took the puck away.
The quality of the ice is "interesting".
End of 2, Gophs up 3-1.

A tied period. Up 3-1 after two.
A tied period. Up 3-1 after two.
Two goal lead just like last night. MN has lead going into the 3rd for every MSU game this year. Think they have it figured out by now that they can't sleep on Sparty? There WILL be a push.
Since it was at the start of the second period I wonder if Pitlick had an issue with not liking something about his skate blade and had to go back to locker room to get it taken care of. He was back on the top line later in the 2nd period.
Michigan State is the 3rd highest scoring team in D1 at 4.2 goals per game.
When they go all offense when trailing in the third period they are going to get some chances. It is not a consequence that most of the times the Gophers have given up multiple goal leads this season it has been against Sparty.
Last Saturday night Michigan at home had a 4-1 lead against Michigan State and then Sparty scored 6 straight goals include 4 in a span of 7 minutes.
Sparty has only been held to less than 3 goals 3 times this season.
The Gophers don't sit on leads it is Sparty uping their game and the Gophers not capitalizing in the third period against them when they get their chances.
The team that is trailing normally get more shots in the third period but the team with the lead plays even on the scoreboard in the third period catching the other team by using their aggression against them by getting odd man rushes and then burying at least one of them.
I’d like to see a replay if that zone entry on their PP. It looked offside. We don’t have a challenge anyways.
Went back and watched during intermission. Player carrying the puck whiffed and two guys were offside. Of course we had a chance to clear and they scored a minute later, but it still could have been reviewed.
And we couldn't challenge it since the missed reviewed earlier in the game so instead of the game being 4-0 it is 3-1.
A four goal lead would be nice.
MOORE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Gophers lead 5-0 ops I mean 4-1.
Moore 4-1.

Do we know if it is punishment, equipment or an injury?
Of course not but why should that stop us?
Pitlick went out for the power play, then went back to being benched again for Pino. Not that hard to figure out.
What a pass by Snuggy. That a way Oliver!
Ollie had 3 goals all season coming into this weekend he now has 3 goals this series.
I WANT A OLLIE HAT TRICK!!!!!!
Are we finally gonna break the plot against MSU? 😂
Glad to see Moore scoring I kinda figured he’d come on during the second half of the season.
OUTSTANDING pass from Snuggy. Great finish from Ollie.
Augustine has been great for MSU. Agreed with the B10 broadcast who said they kind of leave him out there like the 80s Oilers. Lots of prime scoring chances MSU gives up. Can’t see any way they strung it together in the postseason unless he stands on his head somewhere and steals a game or two
