Defense coming off a great weekend last weekend are looking shaky shaky tonight
Woeful power play followed up by immediately giving up a third goal. They look like they’re skating in mud.
For a team on a roll, this one is a head scratcher. Gophers predictably looked bad on the powere play and then ND gets a fortunate tip on their first shot afterwards.
Minnesota has allowed ND to dictate play for most of the game and look especially inept this period.

I get that Notre Dame likes to get a lead and then sit on it but just giving up four and letting them run all over you is pathetic. Notre Dame is an alright team but this should not be happening.

That's true and that's what this game is. To a man, they are terrible tonight and have pretty much given up.

Refs and Gophers making them look good tonight. A big 4 goal 3rd period would be nice.
And just like that the slight chance we had is gone. A couple of other things two periods in:
- Game to forget for basically the entire team but this one is probably a bit humbling for a high flying Rinzel. The first goal and I believe the fifth were off his turnovers.
- Why not challenge the first goal for goalie interference? With the way those calls have been going as of late that goal might have gotten called back.

Snuggy has been awful tonight. On one of the goals that he was on the ice for, he just floated down the boards and let the ND player do a cross ice pass to the back door. I don't blame Bob for benching 81 and 77. They both should get heat for their game tonight. Not a ton of positive things to say tonight.

I would. Leaders lead and the team is following Snuggys example. Rinzel needs to know the plays he’s made are unacceptable.
