Wow, the Gopher twitter account is getting a bit snarky.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
Given that maize literally means corn it’s not too far out of bounds lol
Just realized I have a gold jersey signed by the entire 2011-12 Frozen Four team. It’s all framed and everything. Don’t know if I’m gonna wear it I wanna keep it nice.
Take it out, wear it, spill beer on it!
I have a Koronis gold script alternate from early 2000's. I got blood on it once at a game. It washed out, in hindsight I should have left it.

THIS! I ask you, is a hockey jersey really a jersey if it hasn’t seen a little beer or blood?
Wear it?
Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
This team would play out of their minds with Wooger jerseys

The Golds are the same as the Woogers - all they’d have to do is stitch a new nameplate over the current one….
How many jerseys do you have in total?
So it's a gold out sponsored by cowgirl. ?
19. Ten white, three maroon, six gold.
Im a loser.
I guess I could have worn a different one to each game (prior to the post season). Gotta have options!!
wow. My wife gives me a hard time for having 10. 5 Gopher and 5 Wild. None gold.?
Well, the people who didn't believe in this team should pay through the nose then.

It's not gold but I have a Faber GW white jersey that I think I'm gonna have to rock for the game
Obviously this is the biggest game of the year so far. Payback for last year, and also the overall number one seed at stake. The Gophers would be home team on the scoreboard throughout and have the last line changes. Also playing the lower seeds, but with parity there are really no easy games.

More than a couple of my hockey jerseys have blood stains on them from my boot hockey days. To be fair, I figured a frozen tennis ball couldn't do too much damage, despite me not playing with a helmet, as goalie, for quite a few years. I was wrong.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
I’ll be interested to see how often Bob plays the 4th line during this game and the NCAAs. I know the game and the overall flow dictates that, but I’d like to see him shorten the bench a little more. Really lean on those top 3 lines and big time defenseman.

Lucky for Motzko he has six defensemen who are all very talented and can support any line combo.
I'm of the opinion that the fourth line played its opposition pretty evenly all season, which is to say they didn't separate themselves much. The past couple games has seen an improvement, and I'm hoping Lamb is a surprise contributor for a goal or two to help take pressure off the top six come NCAAs.
I'll be interested to see if Motzko tries to match up on Fantilli. He merits the Gophers' attention, and we'll see if Motzko puts a grind line against him and gets the D pairing he wants when he's on the ice.
Bob has rolled four lines all season and all tenure. I don’t see that changing.

4th line changed the tempo of the MSU game. They’re more impactful than you think imo.
He'll play them when they need to be played.
Yeah, that's ambiguous, and it should be. It'll be, "Okay, boys, go get 'em." And they will.

Fantili should see a lot of Faber and the Huglen/Nelson lines I think

They definitely played one of their best games all season last week. For this week, I would be a little more worried having them get caught out there against Fantilli.
In the NCAA's with the extra potential TV timeouts, I would be rolling 3 lines more often. I also hope I eat crow and they score some big time goals.
Good idea to give out 10,000 poms. It will at least be a gold out when we score. It was a great visual last year when the 5 sections of students had poms
Regarding resale tickets I think there are some speculators cashing in. Currently on Stub Hub.....
- 61 Separate listings for tickets ---Might be some duplicate accounts owned by the same speculator(s)---
- 217 Total Tickets available
- 16 listings had 5+ tickets available ---one has 11 tickets available!----
- Median Price $126, before fees
I don't know of a good way to regulate this aspect of ticket sales out of the market but I hate to see online speculators cash in like this at the expense of fans who actually want to go to the game. Definitely a big problem in the Music business.
I need one more ticket and I am banking on some singles being available late for a much cheaper price. (If anyone has a spare let me know )
I'm interested in a how the secondary market works for scalpers out front of the arena on the corners. When it was paper tickets, they could just fan them out, you pick, pay and go. Now I assume they have to scroll with all the tickets on their phone. I also assume they have a system that makes it easy. I was meaning to ask my ticket broker the I use if I ever need tickets or to get rid of tickets. Saw him at the Tourney, just didn't get a chance to chat.
Keep your stick on the ice...

Handouts always found a way onto the ice. Hopefully no repeats like last year.

@gator Good question. I am sure the various apps/websites have reduced the profits & demand of the people selling in front of arenas. I am not sure how they get their supply of tickets in the digital age.
The whole market of reselling tickets is very interesting to me.
- It does provide liquidity to the market which has value to consumers
- But in my mind the main reason it exists is that the sports/music institutions for various reasons cant charge a true dynamic price based on each individuals wealth/ability to pay. Obviously there is some dynamic pricing based on the quality of seat but not as much as actually exists in the market.
- So resellers can buy a standardized ticket price and squeeze $$ out of the richer fans who missed out on the initial direct sale.

It pretty hard to make a Pom go any distance. Like throwing a cotton ball.

Digital transference makes it easy for an exploiter to sell tickets from his couch before the game even starts. One could argue that digitally transferred tickets make it easy for anyone to become a reseller, essentially making the situation even worse.
I bought 4 tickets on Sunday morning, just before the run on the bank, and for a hot second I thought, "Hmmm, maybe I'll buy 8 tickets just in case x, y and z want to come to the game, and, if they don't, I'll just resell them on line." I would have fallen into a nice profit quite by accident.
Resellers take a risk by buying up seats, but given that they can always resell close to face value, it's not much of a risk at all, especially at Mariucci this season.
Long time lurker, first time caller here. Looking forward to a raucous crowd this weekend.
Thank you for having me, it's great to be here.
Mariucci ready to go. Same with LaCombe!
I think Brandon Naurato’s immaturity as a coach is directly reflected in his team’s play. Undisciplined, little care defensively, lots of penalties. These are games that our Veteran heavy backend will win us.
Feeling really good about Saturday but it will still be a challenging 60 minutes.
Last game at Mariucci for some absolute Gopher legends.
If there was ever a game for a recruit to be at this one is at the top of the list.

Jess with a couple of doozies again.

Did Knies get poked in the eye or something?
The answer is dealing with monopolies similar to how monopolies were dealt with in the past.Regarding resale tickets I think there are some speculators cashing in. Currently on Stub Hub.....

Bingo! I can’t tell you how many times I have seen the camera show him smirking after Michigan has gotten called for a 5 minute major, as if he’s laughing at the call instead of caring about his team’s undisciplined play. I hope Michigan keeps him. He would drive me nuts if he coached the Gophers.
@chill-kessel He mentioned he has pink eye.
I've never had it but it doesn't seem like it would improve athletic performance
@chill-kessel He mentioned he has pink eye.
That is extremely contagious! Like REALLY contagious. Don’t give it to anyone else on the team.
Note: Due to inflation dirty deeds will no longer be done dirt cheap.
I hope he's on the tail end of it and past the contagious stage.
Eye drops should clear that right up. Move on.
It is going to be sheer chaos in the arena. I cannot wait.
Seriously my anticipation levels are at 11.
MI wants to win a trophy so they'll be coming on hard. Gophers would like that #1 seed. This is a case of an unstoppable force meeting and immovable object.
I'd like to see MN play a perfect defensive game: BACKCHECKING, good goalie play and limited turnovers by the defensemen. In a game where one team will capitalize on the other's mistakes, this is the winning formula.
