Have we confirmed the Big Ten postseason schedule is the same format this season? If so, Bob will be going nuts.
I have heard nothing... But maybe when the league announces the schedule, news about that will come out?

Late February bye week isn't ideal. Win the conference and you will play one week out of three down the stretch before the post season.
You sure about that?
If they have wrapped up the league title, it would mean a MAXIMUM of 4 games in 35 days before the NCAA Tournament.
I agree. That's why I said it ISN'T ideal.
I was really hoping OSU games would be in January, since I have to be in Cincinnati for work and I could schedule around the games. Dammit. I'll have to settle for the Wild.
Madison hotel is booked.
Who doesn't like back-to-back-to-back-to-back weekends against UND, Wisconsin, UMD, and Michigan? I SHOULD be in Duluth this year if youth hockey doesn't interfere.
Of note, the Robert Morris series got moved to the week after CC rather than during the World Juniors.

I see they moved Robert Morris from Dec to January 12-13 since the schedule Jup put out.
Finally!!! ? ?

I noticed that 4 series stretch too. Arguably the programs 4 biggest rivals right there. Should be fun.
Love finishing the season at home against Michigan
That series could very well be for some hardware too, who knows.

This change was not finalized until this morning.

now that we've at least got the dates (finally), any idea when the B10 will start releasing game times? thinking around the odd weekend games as well as the split weekend with UMD for hunting opener trying to make things work logistically, so figuring out how much lead time we typically get

The game IN Duluth is locked in at 7:30pm. That is all I know.

I'd be shocked if the Thurs Fri WI series weren't both 7 or 8 PM starts. Guessing both BTN games.
The Vikings play Monday night after Thanksgiving so a earlier Sunday game-- like 2PM would not shock me that weekend.
The major question I think we all have will be TV. There is no way to fit these all in the BTN schedule so does someone step up to cover or simulcast locally BTN+ games? And if a good chunk are in BTN+ will we be stuck with student announcers? Only time will tell I guess.
After looking over the schedule my guess is the Gophers should win around 23-26 games. not counting Big ten tournament games. This should give them a number one ncaa tournament seed. After that my prediction is they will win it all in St. Paul
That big ten schedule is no joke. The league has reached gauntlet status in my opinion.

I don’t know what you're smoking, but I dont see a loss on the entire schedule.

With Wisconsin getting Mike Hastings I don’t see a bad team in the entire conference. I’m not saying they will be world beaters off the bat but I think every team will be a tough out every night. That includes Wisconsin.
On a separate note, I see the Hastings hire hopefully adding some juice to the rivalry. His connections to Minnesota and Motzko, the high likelihood that he makes them a solid team that’s tough to play against, and both teams probably competing for some top recruits will throw some fire back into this rivalry.
How can I download the schedule?
How can I download the schedule?
If you mean to your phone calendar, go to the schedule under the team drop down menu up top, click on the apple or google icon and hit subscribe.
Or get one of those handy pocket schedules…..oh wait. 😉
Doesn't work for me. When I click on the G logo it asks if open in another app, and when I select that it does nothing. Probably user error.
You can also download it from the Gophersports website. Go to hockey schedule and then add to calendar. It gives you about 8 different versions to download.

When does their tv schedule get released?
Aloha!
With Bally's circling the drain, my guess is it may not be until near opening day. And even they it could change. When does their tv schedule get released?
FWIW, last year the tv schedule came out on Oct 14th, which was just before the 3rd weekend of hockey. I would suggest in investing in BTN+.

If you go to the official site and click on the schedule you can get a text only version.
Not sure if Jup has something similar from GPL.

No times but all in one place. ?♀️
They picked up some good recruits this year. That big ten schedule is no joke. The league has reached gauntlet status in my opinion.
I dont think it has. I think Hastings will struggle at Wisconsin for a while and I think MSU will prove last year (well half of it) was a fluke.
You think MSU will be worse than last year???

I will say they will regress back to the mean. I trust them as much as I trust the Detroit Lions. (Yes I know this is the year!)
Someone has to be the bottom of the league and we can bet that Michigan and us won't be there. I trust Notre Dame to be better than MSU and I will bet tOSU finishes higher as well.
So that puts them in the group with Sconnie and PSU. Personally I trust PSU more because of their system but even if MSU is the best of those three that puts them fifth...exactly where they were last year.
We shall see though but MSU is often overrated because of their cache in other sports.
They made a myriad of impressive offseason additions including one of the best goaltending prospects in hockey. You are entitled to your opinion however and I respect that. I have them 3rd behind us and Michigan.
Yeah someone has to finish at the bottom, but that doesn't mean the bottom won't be improved.

Lots of teams made good acquisitions...and have coaches I think are better. We will see but every year there is some team everyone is sure is going to make the leap who doesn't and MSU just doesn't have the equity IMHO. I have been wrong before and will be again.
Yeah someone has to finish at the bottom, but that doesn't mean the bottom won't be improved.
Does it matter if you still finish last? That was the stuff Michigan Tech fans used to say back when they would win 3 games.
Going back to the original argument over whether or not the B1G will be a gauntlet, yes. Someone will finish last in the B1G, but they could still be a better team than anyone you play in non-conference.Yeah someone has to finish at the bottom, but that doesn't mean the bottom won't be improved.

I don't think we're to that point, but having the bottom teams be solid relative to the rest of college hockey.... The B1G may not be far off from that.
There are 61 teams in D1 college hockey. Last year 6 of the 7 Big Ten teams ended up in the top 17 of Pairwise.
I don’t know what you're smoking, but I dont see a loss on the entire schedule
I've been hoping for a perfect season ever since the Big Red did it back in '69 ( was it ? ).
I like this schedule and I like the players on this team especially the defensemen - with the Fisherman coming in at 215 # ( trying to catch up to the Haybaler who is coming in at 225 # ) this is the heaviest Gopher team I've seen in quite a while . . .
Go Gophers!
Not knowing what to do, they do what they know . . .
Knowing what to do, they sometime don't do it . . .
The 26th year of the Gopher Men's Hockey Profile got to be too much for this ol' codger to handle . . . what with all of the possible activity on the transfer portal . . . . So, I'm closing it down at the 25th year . . .
Not holding my breath, but yeah, I'd love to see it.I don’t know what you're smoking, but I dont see a loss on the entire schedule

And Cornell was 69/70
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
ICYMI single game tickets and mini-plans are on sale as of today. I think you can save $5-$10 per ticket on a mini plan if you buy 6 or more games depending on the game. I noticed they didn't discount the WI or MI series games but I think I saved around $100 on an 8 game mini plan rather than buying them all individually. Worth it if you want to plan some games out but don't buy the entire season.
Will the upcoming years Strength of Schedule rating be effected by the overall weaker non conference teams we play even if we win them all? Perhaps the non conference schedule was considered just as strong last year? What are your thoughts?
Depends on how good UMD and Nodak are. Usually you can pencil those two into the top 15 pairwise but that hasn’t been the case recently.
My opinion on SOS is just win baby. If you are a good team and take care of business by winning most of the non conference games and winning against the very good B1G teams, you will be fine. I always think that teams that are mediocre need the SOS more than the good teams do.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
with how good the B10 has been I don’t think you’ll need to worry about SOS

I little birdie told me that the U is working with other networks in the cities like Fox9+ when they dont have SCSU games ,CW and 45. I think BTN + is going to be the route to go to watch all games..

The U is working with Rush Media for the entire TV situation... Rush is run by Matt Hover who was a long time producer of Gopher hockey back in the day for FSN... He may even go back to the MSC days.
