Cooley off the glass, off Sparty goalie, nothing but net!!!!!
It was about time the top line started pulling their weight. 😉
All four centers have a goal.
PULL YOUR SIEVE!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cooley gets the empty netter!!!!
Really grown into this game. Looked a little off at the start but since we scored they have looked and better and better.
7 assists from the defensemen with their most offensive D man (Jackson LaCombe) out.
Bring on the ugly helmets!!!!
We beat MI Jr. Now it's MI Sr. Hail to those Mother F*ers! 😉

Clearly we are the more talented team so the coach who got that talent to come here and then reach their potential IMO should be the coach of year.
This win likely clinches overall #1 for the NCAA tournament.

The CHN probability thing says 83% chance but Q still has a shot. I assume we would need to lose and then Q would need to beat Colgate and Harvard and then still also need some help somewhere else.
@chill-kessel That is yesterday’s run (there’s a date on the page) They’ll have to run the computations tonight to get the current projections.
Chesley looked really good back from injury.
If our 4th line plays like this the rest of the way we’ll win a national championship.

This just in he is pretty good. Sure glad Laffy left early last year giving the Closer a chance to play.

The page I'm looking at says last updated: March 11, 11:26 PM
Gold against MI… Interesting.
Great crowd tonight and a great win. Chesley was outstanding. Pitlick and Huglen played well. Close steady once again. 4th line played great also, nice to see them sustain offensive zone pressure.
Hopefully Lacombe is back next week. I have really been looking forward to this potential rematch from last year!!

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

It's been updated at 4:14 AM and now shows 100% locks for us, Quinnipiac, Denver, and Michigan as seeds #1-4 in that order.
Not sure if the previous update was missing other scores, but the only game I can see that finished after that was Lindenwood at UAA.
MSU is now officially done as the last update removes the "0.0%" (which I interpreted as meaning <0.05%) from their "In" column.
From here on out there shouldn't be much movement in and out of the top 15. It's now just questions of where everyone ends up and whether the last few get bumped by autobids.

wasn't Cooley’s second goal the empty netter? There was nobody in or around the net…
Still very cool artwork however, love that he used the line chart.

the other thread didn’t exit yet when I posted about the gold out so give me a break. ?
Great to have Chesley back in the lineup. That kid is so much fun to watch. Just a great all around defenseman. I think there was one shift last night where we saw him comfortably and competently move the puck up the ice with great offensive skill just seconds after crunching some Spartan against the boards with a big, old school hit. Mr. Chesley, please stay here at least three years.
Brodzinski was a bulldog last night. I know he didn’t score but I really liked his game. That open ice hit he had on the Spartans delayed penalty after he got called for tripping was awesome.
89 also had a huge hit late in the game. The whole team played a good physical game without crossing the line. For years the criticism of the Gophers, fairly or unfairly, was that they were soft and didn’t hit. Well they’re hitting now. Combine that physical play with all of our talent and I would hate to go up against us.
The fourth line was fantastic last night and I really thought the whole team grew into the game and for the most part looked pretty sharp after a week off. Michigan State was solid initially, fighting for their season, but once we took the lead I felt pretty good and then after we had that big penalty kill at the end of the second I thought we just comfortably dominated the rest of the game. Fun game to watch and the team is looking great! Now on to next week against the Michigan Wolverines Swim and Dive team. Emphasis on the Dive. Keep the physical play but watch for them to milk every hit for all it’s worth and try to get under the gopher’s skin. But if the opportunity presents itself would some please lay out either Fantilli or Duke? Preferably both.
Someone on the postgame asked when the last time there was a weird bounce off the wall for a goal - anyone else remember just a few years ago the same thing happened to Nappier - he put it in with his ass.
And he was knocking the net off left and right that night so it was a nice payback.
Chesley was fantastic last night. Didn’t miss a beat. You could argue he came out of injury with his best game of the season. He was a serious difference maker.
If I were handing out 3 stars last night it would’ve been J Mitts ⭐️⭐️⭐️, Chesley ⭐️⭐️, Close⭐️

Chesley was great. Maybe the extra rest helped him, but he was coming on before the injury.
I've never seen more hooking and obstruction go uncalled than what we see every shift against the Cooley line. With 3 minutes left a hook was called against Kurth that wasn't even in the same category that Cooley and Knies see every time they have the puck.
I noticed the nets stayed on their moorings last night.
JWG and thinkbui both have the same avatar now. That is confusing.
I thought Close outplaying St Cyr explained a lot of why the score was as lopsided as it was, if not for that it would’ve been more of a nail biter. Good to see that he looks dialed in for the playoffs. Also glad they won because that’d mean one game over the span of a month which isn’t ideal for continuity/chemistry.
Hoping we see LaCombe back soon.
Yes, win or lose next week they need a playoff level game against a good team before the tournament. Can't get much better than MI.
I'd like to MN limit punk Fantilli's time and space. Any team that can shut him down has a good chance against MI.
Gophers are good enough to run the table...we'll see if they can do it. Would be epic to win the league, the tournament trophy and the NCAA.
Hoping we see LaCombe back soon.
Motzko said in the postgame presser "If I was a betting man, Lacombe would be back next Saturday for Michigan". I think he will play next week.
I am onboard with the thoughts on Chesley. He was hitting people and leading the rush up the ice. All around great game. Koster has really stepped up his game the 2nd half. I think he will wear a letter next year.
I was skeptical what the crowd size would be, and bravo to the students and the fans that showed up.
Great to see the return of Let's Get Weird. I know when I talked to the guy from the U last year in Boston, we brought it up and he said it is now reserved for "special occasions".

If there was any doubt, it makes sense that Motzko kept him out against State. They need to get him a game before ncaas so good call to wait for MI
He only had a secondary assist, but Pitlick was all over last night. He still has some WTF moments, but I bet those work in his favor. If he doesn’t know what he’s doing, how can the defense know what he’s doing? He will start scoring more if plays like that from here on out.

Qu'est-ce que c'est? Mine's still the empty pockets one I've had for many years. JWG has a fisheye photo from center ice.

This must be some kind of a glitch. It now shows JWG's normal avatar but no avatar for thinkbui (broken link).
