This type of Jekyll and Hyde will not bode well come late march/early April.
For the season the Power Play is #13 out of 64 teams.
So apparently at least 52 teams have power plays that are awful. Ours plus the 51 who are worse than ours.
26 dollar store ass Timothy chamelet
Better intensity in the 2nd but mich. still looks like the one who wants it more. Mich. quick to get back on defense in transition tonight, more prepared defensively, but that’s easier when the other team is at 75% throttle.
I don’t get it. Last night they looked like they could beat BC. Tonight they look like they’d lose to Robert Morris if we played them again. October this might be one thing but this doesn’t make me feel good about the post season.
NELSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
His 4th goal on Senior weekend.
Once again as penalties are being called Clymer isn't even paying attention.
Tough goal to give up there.
LAMB CHOP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NELSON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
#5 on the weekend
The shots since the start of 2nd period are Gophers 18-8 and are now 23-23 for the game. The game would be tied at 3 if not for the goal Closer gift wrapped in the 1st period.
Here we go!1-2-3 we want more! We want more! Score! Score! Score!
Is this a bannable offense? I think I have only heard the BADgers do this. Here we go!1-2-3 we want more! We want more! Score! Score! Score!
I want back to back Nelly hat tricks!!!!
TIE BALL GAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
HUGLEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
M – I – N – N – E – S – O – T – A!
Minnesota!
Minnesota!
Yeaaaaaaah Gophers!
1-2-3-4! We want more! We want more! Score! Score! Score!
Crud. I was hoping we had broken Michigan's will.
Comeon Nelson!
Snuggy is due for a goal.
btw not a complaint but I think the Gophers only have 1 pretty goal so far - doesn't matter just get it past the line.
LUKE MITTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
His 2nd of the weekend.

ALL GOALS ARE PRETTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 😆
Pitlick takes a penalty with 16 seconds left in regulation. Being reviewed. Will it be 2 or 5?
2 minute penalty.
Going to OT.
Michigan will start with 1:44 of 4 on 3 power play.
If we kill it off it will then go to 3 on 3 on the next face off.
This was an undisciplined game on both sides tonight. What a stupid penalty to take.
What a stupid penalty to take.
Yeah that is not a great way to endear yourself. Clark in the 3rd period was moved up to the top line with Pitlick gong to the 3rd line with Huglen and Lamb.
Pitlick is a really fun player but he does some things that gets himself in the dog house at times.
Take a stupid penalty late in the game . Lose the game !
Gophers challenging for a possible hand pass.
Not sure how they overturn thatGophers challenging for a possible hand pass.
There was a hand pass that should have been called on the ice (was missed) but in review the goal counts because it didn't "directly" result in the goal. 🤔
The refs: I don't wanna deal with this, so inconclusive or something. Whatever.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Tough challenge though absolutely worth the look. Don’t really know how they say confirmed when it hits his hand on the ice, though no real way to overturn it
Certainly looked like a hand pass to me. Called it out while the play occurred
Pitlick with an ugly game.

that’s not what they called. they confirmed there was no hand pass, which is mind boggling you can see it got his hand. Who “plays” the puck next is the question
Our top line needs to be better in the postseason. Pretty dumb penalty to take at the end.
I like the comeback though. I always like a team that doesn't give up. Add a scoring top line and I like our chances.
Fantastic comeback thwarted by an undisciplined penalty…
Once again, moving farther from incompetency, and closer to corruption.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
A Pairwise and Big Ten series win (regulation win and OT loss).
Big Ten 4 points out of 6 points
RPI/Pairwise 1.33 out of 2 (OT loss is worth 1/3 of a win for the RPI part of Pairwise).
Well as a staunch pitlick supporter, that was an ugly game for him.
Sure looked like a hand pass to me. I can understand them saying we touched it, but to say no hand pass is crazy.
Gophers win the season series against Michigan 2-1-1 taking 8 of 12 points winning both series 4 points to 2 points.
The Gophers have now finished ahead of Michigan 9 times in the 11 Big Ten seasons. Michigan has finished ahead of the Gophers one time with the teams tying in points one time.
Gophers >>>>>>>>>>>>>> Michigan
Positives:
1. They didn’t quit.
2. What an entertaining 3rd period.
3. Overall I’m feeling positive heading into the postseason. Obviously it’d be great to win the B1G tournament but the most important thing to me is that we play as many rounds as possible and keep building for a Frozen Four run.
Negatives:
1. The 1st period.
2. Pitlick’s stupid penalty.
3. Losing at home to Michigan.
4. Pitlick’s stupid penalty. Seriously dude, what are you thinking?

Doesn't matter as long as the puck never left the zone. It’s more to do with what @upnorthkid mentioned on who plays it first.
Keep your stick on the ice...
That's what inevitably happens when you only play hard for 20 minutes. Imagine if they gave a sh*t in the first 2 periods.
I was more irritated they didn’t blow the whistle when he’s clearly laying on the puck. But that’s another one of the judgment calls that seemingly never go the Gophers way.
Focusing on it is a bit of a red herring, though. Don’t spot them three and then commit a completely stupid penalty late and we’re not talking about it.
Michigan won a game they needed for their at large hopes.
Wisconsin out shot Michigan State 23-7 tonight in the first period. Like our game the team that got the result they needed yesterday played a poor 1st period.
The Gophers out shot Michigan 23-14 over the 2nd & 3rd periods out scoring them 5-2.
Call me crazy if you want (it wouldn't be the first time somebody called me crazy 🤣) but how this game ended isn't a bad thing for the team.
When good players have bad games (especially when it costs his team the game) it normally lights a fire in them and a fired up Pitlick is a good thing.
The Gophers get out of the 1st period only down two if Closer doesn't gift wrap them a goal.
Jaxon Nelson is the heartbeat of this team. What an outstanding weekend by him. Leading by example.
The Criticism Line is kickin' a$$
