5 minutes? That’s laughable, shouldn’t have even been a 2. I’d be rimming pucks off the glass at the orange stripes.
Is the implosion starting? Brodzinskis penalty was careless. The head contact was BS. It is a physical game. Intentional to the head I get but the other player put himself in that position.
Is he supposed to just let the guy have a free fucking path to the net? What is he POSSIBLY supposed to do when the guy puts himself in the absolute worst position possible?
The least penalized team in country takes the first 7 minutes in penalties.
The Gophers kill the two minute penalty and the first 55 seconds of the 5 minute major but will have 4 minutes and 5 seconds of PK to start the second period.
Chesley did not received a game DQ so we will get him back once he has severed his 5 minute penalty.

I honestly didn’t think they played a bad period of hockey. Couple head scratchers, but that’ll come with some first game jitters. Other than that major and brodzy penalty, I thought it was a pretty solid period. Wish Koster and snuggy would have shot when they had a chance on the near side faceoff dot, but I thought it was a fine period. Also less 4th line please. Just sub Clark in where needed

If it is called a 2 minute penalty they don't get the power play goal (the penalty would be over) and now they have 2 minutes and 14 seconds left to get more.

Cross check on Omaha... It looked like our player's head touched the ice, might as well challenge for a major for incidental contact with the ice.

Rule 89 - Puck Out of Bounds or Unplayable
89.1 Puck Out of Bounds - When the puck goes outside the playing area at
either end or side of the rink or strikes any obstacles above the playing
surface other than the boards or glass, it shall be faced off at the nearest
faceoff location from where it was shot or deflected, unless otherwise
provided for in these rules.
When the puck hits the goal post or crossbar and goes out of play,
regardless which team shot the puck, the ensuing faceoff shall take place
at one of the End zone faceoff spots in the zone where the puck went out
of play.
When the attacking team is attempting to score a goal and the puck goes
out of play as a result, the faceoff shall remain in the attacking zone. The
puck must have been shot/passed from the attacking zone and be a clear
attempt to score for the faceoff to remain in the zone.
So even if the attacking team tips their own shot out, if they were "attempting to score" the face-off stays in their attacking zone.

If you don’t know the difference between Jimmy Clark playing a shift with the 3rd line versus putting the whole 4th line out I can’t help you.
2 of the last 3 Gopher goals in the NCAA tournament have been scored by 4th liners. Johnny Mitts scored in the title game last year.
