I am a huge McCartney fan but I honestly wouldn't pay those prices to watch him in that stadium from everything I've heard about the poor sound quality. Plus honestly Paul's voice is a shell of it's former glorious self.
Def leopard coming to the state fair again, I believe it’s Tuesday night. Seen the pyromania and hysteria tour back in the day. A legend that never dies in my book.
The overall lineup is garbage this year, not that I'll be around to partake anyway.
But Nelly, Ja Rule, Mya, (all average to good), and THE YIN YANG TWINS (awesome). But I won't pay those prices.
We would do the chairlift ride to get in on some concert music at the same time. I know so tricky.😂 Haven’t done that in some time now so the fair probably figured out a way to shut down the ride to sell more concert tickets or something.😂
It's being reported that Ozzy has passed away...I haven't seen any credible online sources confirm this yet. Wild since it was only about three weeks ago he performed his last concert.

Even as a hard rock/heavy metal fan I steered away from Ozzy until around 86' or so just because of his "bad" press about his music and antics. That changed when I got MTV and "Shot in the Dark" was in heavy rotation and I went back and found the rest of his music. While I wouldn't put Ozzy in my all time top ten faves he no doubt influenced every one of my top ten favorites through Black Sabbath and solo. I am a bigger fan of his solo stuff than Sabbath but I respect the hell out of the Birmingham Four, NO metal band would exist without them.
I saw Ozzy in concert once, unfortunately without Zakk which still bums me out to this day. It still was the most fun I've had at a concert though. The opening bands...little known Deftones and Korn.
RIP Prince of Darkness...

These songs are hysterical! I’ve only checked out a few but Taken the musical and Conway “Fitty” singing In Da Club had me cracking up. The Hey song was pretty creative too. 😂
Dave Mustaine announces that the next Megadeth album is his last along with a world farewell tour next year. Megadeth is easily the bottom of the Big 4 of thrash but Mustaine is definitely entrenched as one of the founders and main influencers of the genre. Peace Sells and Rust in Peace are their two best albums IMO.

I think it's dumb to announce a "last tour" unless you're say the Rolling Stones because it feels like a cash grab. Mustaine isn't that old nor out of sorts and it wouldn't be past anyone in his position to accept a huge cash advance to do another "ok seriously this is the last tour, tour".
30 years ago yesterday Garbage's eponymous first album was released. One of the best debut albums ever and in the category of I can listen to it start to finish every time.
The year after its release in 1996 I moved to Bahrain for work. I brought with me a Sony Discman, portable speakers and about 10 CDs because I was originally going to be there only for a few months and thought that would be enough. One of them was Garbage. One night while hosting a party at my house my Garbage CD went "missing".
I drove to every record shop on the island trying to find a replacement and none had it. I was super bummed because it was such a favorite not just for me but for friends that would come over and I hosted a lot. A week later I had a weekend trip to Dubai and was lucky enough to find it there and snatched it up.
Another week went by and a female friend came by the house to return my original to me, saying she “borrowed” it because she loved it so much after hearing it for the first time that she had to have it.
A year later we were married on August 16th, still are to this day 28 years later and have been to 4 Garbage concerts together. Happy Anniversary Patti!
