The Mayans:
Ok, that went dark. And I would do the same thing. If not that, something JUST short of that. JUST short. Then do that. (can't ruin anything 😉 )

Better Call Saul:
The dots are slowly coming together. Spoiler/not spoiler: this is a great set-up episode...

I'll file this here, I suppose.
Meltdown (Netflix streaming) 4 part series on the Three Mile Island nuclear meltdown. Pre-Chernobyl. The first 3 eps are very good, they...really show the good, the bad, and the ugly. Obv there is some bias against nuclear power, and between this, and the Chernobyl HBO series (based on fact) and the "Midnight In Chernobyl" book (which is an EXCELLENT in-depth, very in-depth read)...one constant: bottom line. That's all that matters. 🙁

Finished it up tonight, the main whistleblower still proclaims that nuclear power is a good source of energy (and I tend to agree). But, no *bleepin'* shortcuts, you must do it right, or guess what? This happens. It's not a tainted river or lake, people friggin' die like crazy, and most likely, slow-roll/long-term.

I've just started S1 of Tehran about a Mossad agent who infiltrates Tehran under a false identity to help destroy a nuclear reactor. I don't know how much she's involved but says Glenn Close is in the series as is Shaun Toub who was the scientist in the cave in Iron Man and played Majid Javadi in Homeland among other roles. E1 has been very intriguing and I will continue for now. S2 has had 4 episodes so far.
Better Call Saul:
And here...we...go...(c) Joker "Dark Knight Rises"
My big question is...Lalo. He's SO entertaining, but obviously whacko. Such a wild card in this series.

Mayans MC:
The theme was "dia de los Muertos" of sorts, the day the MCs honored their lost brothers. And boy, did it deliver on the theme of life and death. IMO, this series has surpassed SOA, despite it being a spinoff.
Related: I know some have said that Better Call Saul has done that with Breaking Bad, and I don't agree...at this point. It's on par, though. </span>

This season is building up to a big bang at some point within the MC. The one thing that doesn't set right with me though is the thought that Chibs greenlit a war. I get why he would but I thought he would follow the thinking of Jax to keep a level of peace rather than stir up a war.

If it was just the Sons' death, and the Mayans came forward to say what happened, that'd be one thing, but put into a barrel? That's major disrespect. I think that was the key in the decision.

Jimmy Kimmel giving Jarrod Carmichael a “Rothaniel Lives Here” doormat is so great
Better Call Saul:
Two of the main characters (although NOT Saul)...really kicking into gear now. If you thought they were doing that before...hooboy.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
The Man Who Fell To Earth has gotten weird. Not unwatchable weird but it's out there.
Tehran S1 has been fantastic and I highly recommend.
Mayans MC:
Good episode. Wondering about the Galindo storyline...I think Adelita storyline is done with, which is a plus, it served its purpose, but, who knows? Angel's storyline, have NO clue where that's going, other than the thing with Letty, WTF? And EZ/Marcus...this is really going to get interesting with that combo. Gilly and Hank storyline...they are about to blow up. I just don't know how.
I hope that was cryptic enough.

Don't forget about the Emily storyline, there have only been tidbits but then she reached out.

The next Marvel Disney+ offering (after Moon Knight). Looks like a little Marvel meets John Hughes. As per rumors, looks like they are shifting up her powers.
And the next MCU Disney+ television series (starting August 17) trailer is out:

I think the other creator/writer of Mayans is trying to end most, if not all, the Sutter storylines, for the most part, to concentrate on just the Mayans. In a series like this, viewers get kind of ripped off when it's written away with a line of dialogue (SPOILER ALERT: like how Galindo is kinda mostly gone). Also see: the Adelita storyline that I mentioned.

I, for one, wouldn't be upset if the Galindo storyline minus Emily would go away. There is plenty of storylines going on without the former cartel boss. Though I imagine that with Nestor now with Alvarez as a prospect that I see a meeting between those three coming up on the horizon.
As far as why I don't mind the Emily storyline is for the same reason I liked the Jax/Tara storyline. I'll admit I'm a sucker for the lead characters to find some happiness and I think that Emily and EZ have something that draws them together. I think it will have a similar tragic ending like Tara though.

The Offer – a drama series about the development and making of The Godfather along with a few other subplots including the mafia trying to stop the film from being made. E1 was very intriguing.
Shoresy – starring Jared Keeso from Letterkenny about a hockey player that moves to Sudbury, Canada to play senior hockey. Listed as a comedy series – haven’t watched E1 yet.

Meltdown: Three Mile Island. Very well done (not as dramatic as Chernobyl for obvious reasons) but there was a lot to learn about this event that I either didn't pick upon as an 11 year-old or was never revealed at the time. A lot of reasons to be angry over it as well that I won't get into here.

WHAT IN THE ACTUAL F*?!

A tad. The Bishop storyline gets curiouser and curiouser.
In the "whoa" moment, I didn't expect Player A do to what was done. I expected Player B to do that. That was...wow.
And with Angel...in a sense, his lifespan is short, but in a series like this, he's probably gonna last throughout. He's just a trainwreck.

Ricky Gervais: Supernature (Netflix Streaming)
I'll just say that he tries pushing the buttons on EVERY group/cause/etc, as he has always done. I thought the show was hilarious, but YMMV.

He’s one of those people who has the ability to honestly call everyone out on their BS. Even on Afterlife. Some people just see the world through a different lens.

I'm convinced he's brilliant because people come after him from all positions of every spectrum and he clowns every single one of them every single time. Extremely impressive.

He also seems to have no interest in being in the public eye or really promoting himself. He just goes “enough of you maroons, here’s the deal…”

Obi-Wan Kenobi... Yeah, this GenX'er is in 1000%.
Do not like how this board is run?

Tehran S1 was fantastic, but since they continued the same storyline I'm really hoping they don't muff it up in S2.
Obi-Wan Kenobi… Yeah, this GenX’er is in 1000%.
Cannot wait to see it. Sounds like it is quality.

Mixed feelings so far but I guess I can’t spoil it so:
music by John Williams and CGI amazing
so much exposition
the Leia chase scene was cringy
flea won’t be winning any Emmys
Flea has been in a few movies before. I was actually quite happy he was in here. A "simple pleasure" if you will. Not a good actor, but it's fun to see him in stuff.

Back to the future 2 right?
And Part 3. Also, The Chase (marginal movie with Kristy Swanson/Charlie Sheen), Baby Driver, and Big Lebowski. Some other ones I haven't seen.

Obi-Wan was good. Also watched the first episode of Stranger Things. I don't know... not really doing it for me. Maybe I'm just getting bored with the series or its been too long that I forgot about it, but it just didn't grab me this time. I'll probably still finish the season so I hope the cliff hangers from episode one goes somewhere cool.
Mayans…this is going down the path of no return.
You got that right. It's interesting on how EZ's path and Angel's path have kind of been reversed...

I thought S4 of Stranger Things has been quite good so far. It's not free of criticism but it has all the charm, some decent character development and I feel like they've tried to keep it from going stale without jumping the shark.
I've watched 3 of 6 episodes so far of Pistol - a biographical series based upon the memoirs of Steve Jones who was one of the founding members of the Sex Pistols. Based upon what I know of the band's history much of what has been portrayed has been spot on. Some the actors are dead ringers and I love the fact they're not using originally recorded music and singing for the musical bits.
Obi-Wan continues to impress. I was mistaken in that they were Fri releases. Nope. Just the debut. Wed releases. Now I am really pumped at Wed double-features of Obi and Mayans.
Side note, no spoiler. Whoever casted the girl who plays Leia in Obi needs to get promoted. That little girl is PERFECT for the role.

Okay, I do have one little bitch about Obi-Wan. I get he is a broken shell of himself after the events in Revenge of the Sith thinking he killed Anakin. If we end up getting five episodes of Obi-Wan acting like a little bitch like Luke in Episodes 4 and 5 I am going to be pissed. Obi-Wan was a top 5 Jedi of all time and now I think he and CP3O may be equals, I'm exaggerating but that's my point. Anyway, Obi-Wan's reconnection with the force better be epic.

So, as I watch Stranger Things a thought occurs to me. Is David Harbour now type cast? Will he ever get another part where he isn’t in a Russian prison?

We all know how Obi-Wan ends up. So, to me, the pain is part of the process. The payoff should be equal to how much he suffers in these eps.

That Damn Michael Che. Comedy sketch show with multiple guest comics and it's been hilarious.
I really enjoyed The Lincoln Lawyer on Netflix. I found the Michael Haller character much better done on this show that in the movie played by Matthew McConaughey.
