Ditto, but for "age play" here, I bet it's cougars. When I was a younger lad, if there was a cougar in the building, she'd hit on me, guaranteed. It became a running joke among my friends and I.

Age play = Role play. You treat the other as if they are a different age than they are.

Most of my life, when I'm being honest with myself, it's been "Yeah sure, I'm kinda f**ked up". Then I see something like this and it's "Okay, not THAT much". ?  "Gas Masks" and "Human Ashtray"?  Jesus wept.  ? ? ?

Heres a little tidbit you probably don’t want to know…James Dean was into being burned by cigarettes.
He had circular burn scars covering his torso.

Considering the size of the alumni base and how much money is in the TC metro, I'm surprised it's behind some of the universities ahead of it.  And getting doubled up by UW is embarrassing.

Getting that time a season when the critters start wanting to live in my garage/shop… I’ve been putting out traps the last couple of nights and something has been licking the traps clean and getting away with it. So I put out a couple of sticky traps… At first, I thought it could’ve been a mouse, but now I think it’s a squirrel. This morning when I went out the sticky trap cannot be found. So there could be a squirrel running around my neighborhood with a sticky trap stuck to their fur.

Soybean harvest complete before the "predicted" 4 days of rain. Rain is always appreciated but would have been nice in July.

Any moisture during a drought is a good thing. It will help loosen up the ground for tillage for sure. It's just ironic that we go 5 months without a significant rain event and now it happens during harvest. But complaining about the weather is what we farmers do.. too hot, dry, wet or cold.

Driving between Mankato and Sioux City a lot over the last couple weeks I have seen how much moisture makes a difference in the fields.  On Monday I saw farmers harvesting soybeans near Mountain Lake and then past Heron Lake the soybeans are still green, they're changing but there is still quite a bit a green to them.  You see that all the way down to Sioux City where the fields are so different every 20 miles or so.  I can't imagine the yield differences in those fields as well.

Last minute entry to a Bags tourney at Back Channel's Oktoberfest today. Buddy wanted to play. I had played once in my life before this (lo and behold, last year's BC Ok-fest, went 0-3). This year, 2-2. First round, we found the ringers, lost 21-0 on two turns. Yep. Won the next 2, made the playoffs, and.....faced the ringers again, BUT only lost 21-14. Success in my eyes!

My wife and I celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary today. We went to Mancini's last night for dinner and had an absolutely wonderful time. Today we just kind of ran around to a few places and then teamed up for dinner, making the same meal as the first time she ever had me over at her place. We met when we were 16 at Signal Hills in West St. Paul. As I posted earlier today on FB, I fell in love immediately and not longer after she filed her first restraining order.  ?   Anyway, the past 10 months or so has been one crisis after another for our extended family and it was a blessing to take breather, kick back a bit and recount the past 4+ decades together.

Spent the weekend in Winona with my son for Family Weekend.  It was the first time we have seen him since we took him there for college five weeks ago.  It was good to see him and hang out.  The rain was a bummer on Saturday but we found a few things to do.

Also the leaves are changing so the drive down into Winona was very pretty.

My wife and I play Scrabble on our iPhone almost daily throughout the day and into the night. And my goal word is 'midwifery'. It's a 9 letter word that I need to at least play off of 2 tiles. A midwife and I were talking in the lab and I told her I have to spell that word. She has asked me a couple times if I have done it yet, and I keep telling her I'm working on it... lol!!!

We had such a great experience at that distillery. If you are ever near Glasgow, go. It’s so worth it. We arrived in the early afternoon the day the closed for Christmas and there was nobody there expect for myself and two of my uncles. Getting a private tour was so much fun. Our tour guide wanted to learn more about bourbon and we had this fun back and forth. They were so accommodating and given that one of my uncles used to lead scotch classes it was so cool to hear him talk with our guides about that. Scotland is such a beautiful place with just the nicest people

Neat Hat aka Jane Fonda from this board related a story to us years ago when went to Scotland and took some distillery tours. He asked one guide about Johnny Walker Blue, and she said, in a very frank manner, "Johnny Blue is fine, if you want to mix it with Coke. We don't blend our scotch." ?

JW Blue can be had by itself, but I would never buy it. There's a plethora of better bourbons and single malts for $200 that are far superior.

That said JW is pretty popular here and on occasion when being invited out there is table service with JW Black, ice and Coke. Rather than turn my nose up I join in unless they specifically ask if I'd prefer something else.

Being invited and not turning down a drink is a completely different scenario. 😛

You must. We did our honeymoon there. Managed to fit in something like 17 distilleries. ?

Been a year to the day we left Islay and worked our way up the west coast.

The end of tryout season.  I think it's more "welcome relief" than a simple pleasure, but as a parent of a kid on the bubble, it's always a stressful 2 weeks between tryouts and when teams are posted.  I'm glad it's over with.  He made it, but some of his friends didn't.  ☹️

Did you do the “Scotch Passport”?  When we visited you could get a passport at the first distillery you visited (they are free) and get a stamp for each distillery.  It was a fun souvenir.  Each place had a unique stamp so you could remember.

Knowing his wife, she was at the least an equal participant in the scope of the visits, and could easily have been encouraging more than he would have done on his own.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

You must. We did our honeymoon there. Managed to fit in something like 17 distilleries. ?

Been a year to the day we left Islay and worked our way up the west coast.

Did you do the “Scotch Passport”?  When we visited you could get a passport at the first distillery you visited (they are free) and get a stamp for each distillery.  It was a fun souvenir.  Each place had a unique stamp so you could remember.

honestly don't remember seeing anything like that. Unless it was a specific ownership group thing I missed.
