If I recall Hak said the Rau said something but seeing that video it looks like he hardly had time. Finley was throwing the shoulder as soon as he got to him. ND program in a nutshell. This gem came up as a suggested video today.
Hak is/was a self serving human paraquat.
And now for his negative qualities….

My favorite part of this video has always been Ambroz looking up to Don telling him he has it, and then Don pointing everyone to the locker room. Doesn’t bother trying to split them up. Just lets Seth do his thing.
There was a reason Blood and Finley went to UND. Their IQs combined couldn’t even get into General College at the “U”.

I met Finley a few years ago through a former Gopher player that I know. Seemed like a nice guy in that setting. I also thought it was interesting that Finley and this Gopher player were buddies (maybe the rivalry is more for the fans than the players, handshake line punches excepted).
Like most sports, rivals on the ice and friendships off the ice.

There’s a YouTube video of Finely. While at Edina and UND he’s being interviewed and speaks with a basic Minnesotan accent. Then after UND while playing in the AHL/ECHL he had this heavy Canadian accent.
The guy is an idiot.

Grand Forks/Whioux hockey is basically Canada so I guess that makes sense.
In Iowa last night the first ever Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union sanctioned state girls wresting tournament took place in Iowa City. Just like the boys tournament this one was a sellout and getting all the attention statewide as it deserves. My hometown just starting their girls program this year which is a couple years behind a lot of other wrestling hot beds in the state. It's great to see the sport growing so fast and now has its own state tournament for their competitors to prove they are the best in their sport in the state of Iowa.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!

Interesting, any idea how many schools have teams?

I honestly don't know the answer to that. After doing a quick Google search on that question the IGHSAU claims over 100 programs in the state of Iowa this past season. That's impressive an impressive number for the first year. To put that in perspective, again a Google search was done, there are 364 schools in Iowa that have sports. To have one third of them have a girls wrestling program is damn impressive.

Montana has had a girl’s sanctioned tourney for a couple years now. There’s a girls from my high school who has been a multiple state champ and wrestled with the boys prior and was very competitive.

Multiple NCAA Championships in the 4 major sports since 1950.

That's missing the 1960 NC for Minnesota football.
That's missing the 1960 NC for Minnesota football.
It did say “multiple”. Not sure if there was another one in the ‘50s?
It is also missing Michigan Tech.
MN only has (claims?) the 1960 football title post 1950.

I noticed that last night when I first saw the chart. Somewhat of a non factor since Tech doesn't play D1 in the 3 other sports.

CC is on there, and their only other D1 program is Women's soccer. Of course, anyone not into hockey is going to see that hockey quadrant and wonder who most of the teams are generally. It is also missing Michigan Tech.

Yeah I missed the multiple part.
And so is UMD, RPI and Lake Sup. State. All 3 play D1 hockey, but are DII or DIII in other sports. My point is they missed Tech, oh well. If Tech was DI in all sports, it would be a bigger deal. Of if they forgot another D1 program for the other 3 sports. Agree on the logos. I would say most college fans that are clueless to hockey could name all those college's logos except UMD, Lake Sup. State, CC and especially UND. Most people would think UND is Notre Dame... LoL!!!

With the exception of a small subset here Tech has basically been an afterthought for several decades so I can see how they were missed.

Super Bowl prop bets...
- Jersey number of the 1st TD scored: Over 11.5 @ +105 / Under 11.5 @ -130.
- Flea-flicker: Yes @ +210 / No @ -280.
- Gatorade color poured on winning coach: Yellow/Green @ +165 / Orange @ +300 / Clear/Water @ +750.
- Will there be a Scorigami, just for @the-rube : Yes @ +2000 / No @-10000.
- Will there be an Octapus: Yes @ +1400 / No @ -5000
- Any Fg/XP to hit an upright or crossbar: Yes @ +450 / No @ -650
And the list goes on and on... One year when I was in Vegas for the Super Bowl my buddy places a prop on the o/u for the length of the National Anthem. On the flight out he watched past SB anthems and watched the person who was singing it to get an idea.

The kid was an idiot but you can't just punch someone for shooting their mouth off and expect to avoid charges if the dude decides to pursue it.

There is a little known legal exception allowing one to pop a mouthy twerp with a greasy mullet for no real reason.
Look it up! ? ?

If you scroll down and look at other videos in the tweet. The "little boy', the gal and even the guy in the blue Mavs hoody got hauled out. There is one video of the kid fighting with cops. He has lots more to worry about for himself than trying to press charges.

I wasn't trying to absolve the idiot kid at all - just noting the bigger guy did himself no favors with that punch.
A friend of mine from college was killed when a dude sucker-puched him when we were standing in line at Gluek's. I have a pretty low tolerance for this stuff outside of self-defense.
The video at the Stars game, which they were actually playing the Wild. Made me instantly think of the Twisted Tea video awhile back.

The mulleted North Dakota bean pole could literally have been killed, and it's lucky for his portly sparring partner with the flinty stare that he wasn't. He may very well be arrested for assault.
The amusing part of the video, if there is one, is the sheer size difference between the two combatants, like Gilligan versus the Skipper.
In the old days folks would separate the groups before things escalated out of control. Now, they fumble for their cell phones to snag a video to post online. ?
