For best Supporting Roles, it's either George Constanza or Barney Fife.

I purchased a thera-gun. It’s like my own personal massager. It’s going to work wonders when I can start running outside or go to the gym again.

You meant your own personal massage therapist.

That would be one hell of a “personal massager”. ;)

The comments section for their ads on Facebook are pure gold usually. Most usually are in that vein since it’s a very attractive model using it

Running out of ice melt at work. Shipped over 1200 50lb boxes this week, due to the ice storm that is affecting much of the country. Don't get me wrong, it's not about the business doing well, it's about lifting those sumbeeches from the shelf to the pallet. ;) (truthfully, only hand-loaded about half that. The other half was full-pallet orders, and I could use the forklift).

I just had an incredible stroke of good luck! We live in a very rural county with only one health provider and they are not doing vaccines. Out of the blue we got a robo call from our County Public Health. It said they just received a limited number of Moderna doses. If interested go to their website and register. Damn if I didn't get in and got my wife and I both signed up. Then we went in to the Courthouse and got our shots!

Wow.

Today my mom got on the Walmart site to sign up for the vaccine. After she registered herself, it asked if she wanted to register another person. She said yes and signed up my dad. She never did get a confirmation email so she called and found the my dad's appointment was in the system, but my mom's is not.

So good news is my dad is signed up to get a shot next week, but my mom isn't. Hopefully they fix the bugs soon and she can get signed up for the next round.

The Mars Perseverance Rover

What the landing will look like: <a href=" https://mars.nasa.gov/resources/25473/perseverance-arrives-at-mars-feb-18-2021-mission-trailer /" class="bbcode_url"> https://mars.nasa.gov/resources/25473/perseverance-arrives-at-mars-feb-18-2021-mission-trailer/

This is very cool. A real time simulation of the approach to the surface: <a href=" https://eyes.nasa.gov/apps/mars2020/#/home?id=cruise_stage_separation&time=2021-02-18T14:43:02.227-05:0 0" class="bbcode_url"> https://eyes.nasa.gov/apps/mars2020/#/home?id=cruise_stage_separation&time=2021-02-18T14:43:02.227-05:00

Approximately 56 minutes away from touchdown.

I was struck by how young so many of them looked. I could be completely wrong but if feels like the control room for Apollo 11 was quite a bit older.

Boy, I really wanted to watch this all happen live. I am not a space guy at all, but I wanted to feel like they did back in the 60s where everyone was glued to their TV. Goes to show where we are nowadays that this wasn't something to interrupt work or other life for, shit, wasn't much of a mention other than on here.

My best guess, we have a couple generations RAISED on technology, whereas Apollo, all that tech was new to them as adults....

I figured as much too, but according to this: <a href=" https://time.com/5623799/apollo-11-mission-control/#:~:text=The%20average%20age%20of%20the,was%20all%20on%20the%20fl y" class="bbcode_url"> https://time.com/5623799/apollo-11-mission-control/#:~:text=The%20average%20age%20of%20the,was%20all%20on%20the%20fly

Quote:
The average age of the Mission Operations Control Room was 28, and the learning was all on the fly. After all, none of this had been done before.

I think the perception comes from seeing all men, in white shirts and black ties, many of the photos being in black and white, working inside a smoke filled room giving the overall impression.

I think you've got it. We just moved and I found my freshman year high school yearbook. Decided to page through it. I noticed that my perception of the seniors is that they still looked older than me, even 24 years later.

I suspect he is not the best lawyer money can buy...

"An officer noted a bulge in Gutierrez’s pocket, which he thought was a knife, officials said. The bulge turned out to be a cylinder container with a bag of white powder inside, officials said. As the officer inspected the substance, Gutierrez blurted out, “That’s cocaine,” according to the arrest report."

Also

"Gutierrez made headlines four years ago while he was defending a client who was accused of setting his car on fire for insurance money. During the March 2017 trial, Gutierrez was explaining that the incident was a result of spontaneous combustion when his pants caught fire."

We drove to Grand Island Nebraska in 2017 to see the total solar eclipse. NASA had a crew there launching weather balloons with cameras to view the eclipse from above. They were all pretty young and everyone wore t-shirts that said "Actually, it IS rocket science". I thought that was quite humorous.

Hey, it was only 7 people in my ride!

For those that don't know, had to fit that many in my 2 door Jeep Wrangler (w/back seat in, otherwise it would have been easier), travelling from the Xcel to my place near Ridgedale. tDarkness (USCHO poster, who's 6'5") and me in the front, 5 others in the back seat. I think 4 of them managed to actually be sitting, and MeanEGirl laid across their laps.
