Honestly whether it’s Casy Laylin or Harris as the 15th F doesn’t really matter. Harris became the punching bag for many as the D3 guy on one of the worst Gopher teams ever but honestly he was fine in his limited minutes. Shouldn’t really matter as he won’t play outside of the odd flu season game where he plays 7/8 minutes on the 4th line.

Dan Myers got called out today saying Joel Lehtonen (Stonehill) was going to Kato. Turns out he is not and is going to UAF and had not spoken to Mankato at all per his agent citing his source as Lehtonen who was sitting next to him
Been a couple others like this and lots of recent grads breaking news on guys transferring to places. Pretty entertaining.

Can't say I'm surprised, Hauser seemed to play well in the tourney but he also seemed like a big part of why they had that 8-9 run where they really struggled (and were playing the backup quite a bit). I assume this means that the backup they had is probably getting told to move on and this guy is being added but who knows.
With no cap limit (or is there? ha) why not have as many good goalies as possible. Nothing wrong with competition.

The main thing is the roster limit of 26 and a minimum of 2 goalies. Most teams have 3 goalies in case of injuries and that's the max that can suit up during games. I assume no team does more than that because you're capped at 26 players and need backup D/FWDs.With no cap limit (or is there? ha) why not have as many good goalies as possible. I believe they can, however usually once a player is in the portal the team has moved on from them (either because they didn’t want the player in the first place, or because the player chose to leave and probably burned some bridges…) so there may not be room for them if their other options do not materialize (see: Rhett Pitlick).
Others who are more knowledgeable on this topic can probably give you a much more in depth answer. 😂

Yes, they still can just depending on the program how they handle letting people back. Some lower programs will allow or sometimes encourage even entering to see if there is a bigger opportunity. If there isn't a better fit allowing them back. It just isn't that normal to at the D1 level to have them enter and return.
