Wisconsin has played four games so far this season against Lindenwood and Ohio State all at home and is 1-3 scoring a total of 7 goals one of which was a 3 on 3 OT goal for their only win.

2 at Penn State

Michigan and ND did the conference no favors tonight.
Overall the Big Ten is doing well in non conference play. They have the best record at 16-7-2 including 4-2-1 against the Nachos.

I’m shocked at Wisconsins start but honestly I wouldn’t count them out. Lot of knew faces need to get acclimated. Veteran team that should be a tough out come March.

@collegehockeyaddict I figured I could get great seats after the Granato tenure (I did-4 great seats for Friday and Saturdays!) and I like college hockey in general. Not sure the people close by like me quietly cheering for whoever is playing bucky, but as a college hockey fan, it's the only show near me.
I won't make myself sit through a LIU v Bucky game in January, or maybe not UAA, but otherwise, I make some games and give some away.
Now....when you all establish where the Gopher fans are pre gaming when Goldy is in town in early November, I will be there!!

Looked like they were going to get through it, but the first goal recharged the Fighting Postal Carriers.

Denver swept Anchorage on the road 6-2 and 4-1, and Northeastern at home in a pair of 5-2 games.
Coming off the championship last year, absent huge losses in personnel (which I don't think they had), I'd say having them at #1 is appropriate.

It was tough to follow what was going on through Twitter and the MAV app with the score Friday night. My son-in-law was updating me when it was 3-0 and then he said it went back to 2-0. We saw the major penalty but didn't really think about that was the reason for the goal being taken away. Really couldn't find the reason for the goal being disallowed until yesterday.
Taking with my boss today he said if the Mavs were able to keep that goal it probably would have been the dagger for the Fawks Friday night...though it may have changed the game on Saturday. Also, that major that Eisele took was just dumb...seriously dumb.

Was me. They have looked really bad. On the other hand the Michigan missing the tourney projection isn’t in jeopardy yet.
As with last year, all will depend on if they get more disciplined and decide playing defense is worth it. They did end of last year but the margin for error is a little less with the loss of firepower up front, though Hage looks like he’s going to be really good

B10 has the best OOC Record so far this season at .680. Hockey East is next at .632 and NCHC is third at .592. So while Wisconsin is going to be off to a rough start, as long as the league overall is doing well it should be good for Minnesota and whoever else is in the top three or four for the B10.

After two periods Mankato was up 3-0 against Omaha. In the first 8 minutes of the 3rd period Omaha scored three times to tie the game but Rhett Pitlick scored the game winner with 42 seconds left in regulation.
Mankato is 4-3-0
Pitlick has three of their four game winning goals. He has 3 goals and 4 assists in the 7 games.

@bearpaw28 Denver is undefeated and the #1. I'm not really sure how your post makes any degree of sense. Gophers should move up to 4 after this weekend which is about right where they should be (somewhere between 2-5). No one is moving Denver until they at least lose a game and BC is staying number 2 until Denver drops down and/or they look mortal and lose some games to not top 5-8 teams.

@slap-shot lol You guys have zero sense of humor. I did add a wink in. I’m actually pretty impressed with this Gopher squad (early) Something feels different. They appear more cohensive in approach. Doesn’t have all that much to do with them piss pounding the Dogs. Wood is a great pick up. Clark has taken a step, so has Lamb & Kurth. Moore, while he’ll always.be a poor man’s Cooley, can flat out fly. Snuggy o seriously can snipe. The freshmen are clearly ready to play at this level. The D core looks good, particularly Rinzel (but Chesley & Luke M too). If goaltending proves to be solid they’re looking St Louis bound in April. Maybe just don’t take yourself so seriously & enjoy the ride…time to end the drought & this very well may be that TEAM!

lmao…first off it’s spelled subtle…and the shots I take (almost) always have at least a grain of truth embedded within them. Personally, I don't have have a problem with opposing fans posting on GPL as it can lead to good conversations. It's when these certain individuals continually take shots at our program on a Gopher Hockey website, that is when it gets old.
Hold on a minute…besides pointing out two FACTS: That the Gophers hadn’t won a game in Duluth in 13 years (which they rectified 10 days ago) and that they haven’t won an NCAA championship in 21 years (which hopefully they rectify in April 2025) exactly what shots have I taken at the program? I mean during Bulldog week there’s a little back & forth, but aside from that, I don’t think I’ve taken (hardly) any shots. And I know I’ve been very complimentary of this team, as I was of the 22-23 team. Both teams are & were FUN to watch, the only time I actively pull against them is when they play tUMD.
