That can't possibly be correct. Bonin21 has been telling us all year how obviously superior the NCHC is okay any other conference.

B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

After shirking my responsibilities and sitting on the couch for the last two days, it doesn't look like any of the 8 advancing teams are unbeatable. Michigan and UMD may have had the two best games of the first round, but I think that says more about who they were playing and I wouldn't characterize either of them as flawless even with one of them being a shutout.

Michigan gave up 3 goals and was out shot. I definitely wouldn’t put that anywhere near best

Well fine, then pick one of the 6 1-goal games. The fact that we disagree only helps demonstrate my point that there isn't really a favorite among the 8 remaining teams based on the first round.

No I agree fully on that. UMD looked impressive in their win. Rest were all gritty (but it takes that this time of year). Agree that the tournament still has all 6 of the prior favorites around (UM, UMi, MNSt, WMU, Denver, UMD; UND would've been included if they were healthy). Says something about how open the tournament felt to be as we started. Should be fun.

Agree…all 4 Region Finals will be battles, arguably the top 6 teams still remain (with Whioux missing Sanderson & Jan Brady missing Hrenik) but Quinnipac & Notre Dame can’t be counted out…

AIC also had the 3rd best record since Christmas:

Ok… though I was referring to putting your back up goalie in a one and done playoff situation. Michigan, Quinnipiac, Denver, Western, Mn. State and even the Gophers would all be hurting and relying on backups who haven’t seen any or no playing time all season.

If any of the games so far had a dominating win it was UMi and AIC. It never felt at any point that the outcome was in doubt.

Duluth was a quietly dominant game.

St. Cloud won 4 of their last 17 games. Yes their normal starting goalie missed last night's game but their problems have been on display for months.

You're right, and yet the shutout streak lives.

Uncanny the way Duluth will get dominated then somehow come down and score on one chance. I could feel it the whole period.

There we go. Let's go DU. Duluth was a .500 team about a month ago, Denver seems be outclassing them so far.

Duluth's goalie gives up a goal. Man does he suck. ;)

1-1 after one period. Shots are Denver 10 Duluth 2

2 shots for the period Shock

Two and a half minutes into the second and I think Duluth has already matched their offensive zone time in the first.

To me he needed to use the paddle and shovel the board bounce to the corner vs deflecting it thru HIS crease. Maybe when the horseshoe fell out he farted?
