• “LJ Mooney” is John Mooney, with “LJ” standing for “Little John”. He is often referred to as Little John because his father also shares the same name.
• Father, John, spent two seasons of NCAA hockey at Colorado College (1989-91) before a professional career with the ECHL’s Johnstown Chiefs (1991-92) and the CHL’s Memphis RiverKings (1992-93)
