Gopher Strike

What is Gopher Strike and how does it work?

Gopher Strike is a season-long prediction game for registered Gopher Puck Live members. Before each Minnesota game, pick Win or Loss. Scoring uses a bowling-style frame: get the pick right for points, then stack bonuses when you string correct picks together.

1. Make Your Prediction

W (Win): Minnesota Win, Overtime Win, or Shootout Win (2 or 3 mythical points in the standings).

L (Loss): Minnesota Loss, Overtime Loss, or Shootout Loss (0 or 1 mythical point).

Each pick must be saved before that game starts, or that frame locks.

2. The Scoring: “Bowling Style”

Each game is a frame. A correct pick earns base points. Keep getting them right and you unlock follow-up bonuses — just like strikes chaining in bowling.

• Frame (Base): 1 point for a correct pick on the current game.
• Follow-up (Bonus 1): 2 extra points when the next game is also correct.
• Turkey (Bonus 2): 3 extra points when you nail a third game in a row.

3. Why Streaks Matter

• 1 correct pick 1 pt
• 2 in a row 3 pts
• 3 in a row 6 pts

4. Scorebox

Each frame shows base and bonus cells on top, with the game total and running season total underneath.

5. The Leaderboard

Compare frames and season totals with other members on the Leaderboard tab. Climb the board by staying hot — streaks pay.
