Got that done fairly quick... So IF Twitter does die visitors will have easy access to the live blog page that we will need to move too.

I tweaked the Portal page on MOBILE within the Recent Articles section. Now it is a rolling slider instead of just one article being shown. A bit of a different look and feel.

Any chance to add GP to the main page Standings table?  Either way thanks.

I have updated a few things on the current players. So if you are on the Roster page and click on a player. You get their basic info along with a tab for their stats and twitter feed.

Example for Faber:

I have been tweaking the GPL NCAA Scoreboard Page. Adding the most recent Gopher game at the top that will get (manually) updated during the game. This way users can go straight to that scoreboard and get the Gopher score first. Then scroll down and get the scores from the CHN Widget.

Simple score summary and what period it is in one tab. Then the goal summary in another.

Tweaked the menu font size too... bumped it up a bit.

But made a little less space around them. So the font is bigger, but the menus are a bit more compact and less "whitespace" around the selections.

Now added a 4th "UofM Live Feed" tab that pulls the live updates from the public U live stats site. This only works for home games, but at least would let me relax a bit if I am at Mariucci taking photos and whatnot.

Just found out that quite a few schools (not all) use a similar feed. So I will integrate those for road games.

oooh.... Even better.

I figured out to make it full automated and pull the correct data. Minimizing the manual entry. In fact, I think I have it that I do not have to update anything while games are going on. For home games I just keep the same code. For a few schools, they use the same code. I will just need to tweak the code a bit. But either way, I will not need to update during games!

Just keeps getting better and easier.  Winning all around.

It is mostly because manually updating it all during the game doesn't sound appealing to me. Letting someone else do it doesn't either. So I kept looking for automatic ways. I will just need to do something slightly different AT Notre Dame. But I need to wait until that link goes live the day of those games in January.

By my convoluted math I recently moved from Don Micheletti level to Joe Micheletti level. Pat is in my sights.

Looks like the spam attempts are up since moving to the new host, but I figured that would happen.

With Google enforcing GDPR for sites that serve ads, I needed to add a consent things for what I think is UK and Europe users. But I cannot find and info on if this will show for those of us in the US, which is almost all of you.

Anyway... I just turned on this and you MAY see a message on it. I just do not know.

I don't know if a better place to put this.  FYI for all who attended the U between 89 and 21.  It sounds like a large data breach happened that exposed critical info. You may want to watch your credit or put a freeze on.

I have a few Bluesky App invite codes incase anyone wants to use them to start an account... Bluesky is supposed to be a new Twitter, but I highly doubt that happens until Twitter does something even more stupid.

Well... GPL has a lot more followers on Threads than Bluesky. But who knows if anything will take over Twitter.

I went ahead and used one. Dropped Twitter quite some time ago, but kind of miss the format. We’ll see how this goes!

I used the 2nd code just to give it a try.  Unfortunately I've not found much of interest to follow yet and so far all I'm getting are posts from NYT. I'll have to put some time into it at some point. Thanks for the offer.

I have been working on adding more stats and things to games. Mostly just for games here on out and next season. But I at least do have G, A, Pts, Shot and some goalie stats for each game. Figured out a few things with the software plugin.

So if you go to last nights game for instance, you can see the multiple tabs. I added game audio from the U of coach Motzko in the Summary. The box score is similar to before. Player stats are fairly complete. It will show when a player scores or when they got a penalty. Media Tab is the same. The last thing is the Timeline... Not sure about this one. I do not have the capability to break it up in to periods. So I just used the total game time.

I have imported all of the BigTen players in to the database, but just basic things like Position and Number. I can manually add more data, but that is just way too much work. I will import more players as I go.

That's interesting. I don't use dark mode, but when I logged on last night, the website opened in dark mode. Maybe something flipped the settings momentarily?

I know that the Dark Mode plugin updated yesterday... It stripped a ton of changes I made on the Staging site where I am working on the new theme. So I am guessing the update changed something?

Yep... I noticed that the plugin was now set to "Sunset" mode instead of using the system preferences of individuals. I turned that setting off.

When opening replies on mobile they cannot be accessed as the scoreboard header jumps over them:

I get the same thing on notifications.  Can kinda see the top one, the next few get buried under the scoreboard.

I will take a look after the theme change tomorrow. No sense doing it now.
