I’ve rarely EVER been this ANNOYED during 2nd half of a game the Vikings won. Just a litany of bad decisions by KOC

Watching the 2nd half was pure torture…up 28 points in a laugher & Vikings then proceeded to do damn near everything possible to keep Packers in the game. Good Lord! Love played really well in 2nd half…got to give him that.

MINNESOTA SPORTS FANS ONE OF THE REASONS YOU ARE ALWAYS MISERABLE IS BECAUSE YOU ARE ALWAYS FOCUSING ON THE NEGATIVE!!!! TRY FOUSING ON THE POSTIVES MORE AND YOU WILL ENJOY GAMES MORE!!!!

I used to focus on every mistake Minnesota teams made but I got tired of doing that it was ruining my enjoyment so I started working on changing how I was seeing things and what I was focusing on.

The Viking just beat their biggest rival on the road to go to 4-0 enjoy the ride!!!!

The first half: MN was trying to win.
The second half: MN was trying not to lose.

Night and day in play. Thankfully, they beat the cheese in the east.

It started with the muffed punt reception at the end of the first half. That gave the Packers 7 huge points and momentum going into halftime.

This game played out like MN-MI and GA-AL this weekend. When a team is down by that much, they just go for it and don't worry about mistakes. The team with the lead is thinking "run out the clock." Totally different mindsets. Vikings late field goal was the difference.

Why wasn't the Packers INT reviewed? Vikings should have held possession and probably would have come away with points.

The interception was reviewed, and the zebras effed it up. Even the TV announcers mentioned it was the wrong call.

I could see the booth review going the way it did if it was 1975 and they one or 2 very poor views. Though it’s 2024 and there’s more cameras and angles at a NFL game than the White House. If the head official missed that review, either he needs his eyes checked or he’s incompetent to offciate.

KFAN mentioned today that there were less cameras than normal, they called it a "Class C" game, as for coverage. Didn't expect MN to be this good, an somewhat Packers to be this good.

We likely win this game, but our defense isn’t as good as we thought it was.

Might be a little bit of A and a little bit of B. I don't think the defensive scheming was as good in the 2nd as in the 1st, but perhaps the defense isn't as good as allowing only 2.5 points on average in the 1st half either.

I'm also still not sold on Darnold but hope I'm proven wrong.

It will (should) take an entire season of solid to excellent play to be sold on Sam Darnold as a true franchise QB. That said, his play after 4 weeks (leading an unlikely) 4-0 start to the season has been exemplary! Go Vikings! SKOL

Figure out how you are going to sign Darnold and work on getting it done.

Yeah when has extending a career journeyman during a short-term hot streak ever gone wrong?

@streakygopher It was interesting for sure, while the Packers got momentum from the end of 1st half TD it didn't carry over into the 3rd Q at all. Their possessions were punt, punt, turnover on downs. The Vikings went Int (that wasn't an INT), punt, punt. It was about as boring of a Q you could get.

Then things unraveled in the 4th.

The Vikings do deserve a little credit, ever though it got way tighter than it needed to be. The Packers never possessed the ball with a chance to take the lead or tie the game. And the drive after the Packers made it 28-22 was huge, the momentum at that point was fully with the Packers and who knows what would have happened if they got the ball back. But the Vikings went 55 yards to get 3 points and up by 9.

The D answered the next two drives creating two turnovers. To which the offense answered by driving 38 yards, eventually turning it over on downs to another poor officiating call.

Don't even attempt it...especially around here.  I tried years ago and fans seem happier when they are the team that almost pulls off the big comeback but lose than the team that holds on and wins.

@slap-shot Is there a Vikings situation I am forgetting or just in general?

I get the sentiment but there are no for certain situations. You have to make the moves when they present themselves & there is one present right now.

I would rather make the move on Darnold now (or soon) and have two QBs in the organization & see how it shakes out. Than go all in with McCarthy who is coming off of an injury & is potentially a few years away from fully developing into whatever that might end of up being.

The Vikings losing 13 games in a row is going to be brutal to watch but at least we will get a high draft pick.😆

I am not a big fan of it but there are arguments for it to be sure.  No rush to bring back McCarthy or force him into the starter roll off the bat next year is a very big one.  It all depends though what Darnold thinks he is worth.  I would not go beyond 3 years (add options with big money on the back end if we ever extend him) but it needs to be rather team friendly.  I like the idea of having him around I just dont like the idea of paying him like a big time starter for the next 3-5 years.

I would hope that after being on some truly awful teams and teams that did not seem to know how to use him and put him in bad spots he would be open to something team friendly that gives him a chance to succeed.  I gotta think the prospect of being the QB in say Carolina or Jacksonville would not be enticing anymore.

Jefferson already has 4 catches for 61 yards and the Jets DBs have committed 3 penalties trying to cover him for an additional 34 yards.

Jefferson is eating up the Jets secondary!!!!

DUMB unnecessary block in the back by Vikings #20 gives Vikings bad field position & Jets life. Little plays matter.
