I didn’t have my hopes up for a win tonight, but definitely wasn’t expecting to get curb stomped.
In a game of dumb decisions the Viking starters still in the game may be the worst.

Tonight was a game where pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong but overall the season has been great.
14-3 wins 6 of the 8 divisions. Unfortunately, we are in one of the divisions it doesn't.
Yes Detroit is better than us but the teams are closure then the score tonight would indicate.
No matter how the playoffs turn out I am looking forward to the future of this team.
The season was suppose to be a building season and they have done a HELL of a lot of building this season.
MNF for the next game.
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
The Vikings got their butts kicked. No need to raise the white flag. The Vikings are still going to be a tough out in the playoffs.
Keep your stick on the ice...
There’s nothing about the performance tonight that inspires confidence for next week knowing you get Detroit after in all likelihood, but such is life in the nfl
Woof. That was brutal.
Ohio State lost their final regular season game to their bitter rival Michigan (scoring only 10 points) and dropped to the 8th seed now they are in the semifinals as the favorites to win the National Championship. 🤔
The Vikings went two and a half months with out losing a game. It was a fun ride. Hopefully they can make a run in the playoffs.
I have to admit, reading all the comments over the past couple weeks, about 1 year, 3 year, 5 year contracts for Sam and now it's LET HIM GO.
Hilarious. Anyone who wants to let Sam go is a moron. MN lost to the 2nd best team (statistically) in the NFL on the road, and NOW Sam is trash? lol Comical.

In my Bill Bellichick voice: We're onto Cincinnati ops I mean Los Angeles. 😉
The first line I've seen has the Vikings as a 2.5 point favorite.
Exactly… that and all the armchair head coaches and the Debbie downers.

I posted on another social media site and I’ll post here… take it now. It’ll be -4 or higher by MNF.

Rams are sneaky good, but I think MN will win.

if it gets to that, you take the rams and the hook in a game that should be close, especially with The Vikings who play close games generally.

Not so fast. A lot of us have said he needs to prove it when it counts most before making any decision. That's not moronic that's smart football sense.
1-3-5 years is reasonable (obv depending on cost). But to go from "we must have him (at said reasonable cost)" to "screw that guy" is amazing.

Sam missed a few big throws he wants back but seriously besides those he had nobody open all night long. I don’t know, one on one coverage is usually a mistake on the defense against Jefferson and Addison but they were locked down tight, add the all night long blitz and you got a problem. JJ was clearly frustrated and they just seemed out of sync without an adjustment plan. This loss was a total team effort starting at the top.
Darnold played like he played with the Jets, I know he had a great season but he is not great QB and he can’t move to good in the backfield
Aloha!
Lieber hand me a bit confused this morning on the radio. He said if the Vikings win next Monday, they’ll go to Detroit. I guess that would be true if both Philly and Tampa win. The best scenario would be all 3 road teams win in the NFC. Packers go to Detroit and Commanders come here to play.

based on GBs health, would be surprising to see them win. Would assume hurts is healthy again so would not want to have to travel to Philly. I’d suspect we’ll end up there with Washington beating the bucs, but chalk wouldn’t surprise me either. Regardless the path certainly will be tough
Up until last night, this was a season that rivaled 1998 & 2009 in enjoyment…because winning 14 regular season games was so unanticipated (prior to the seasons first snap). Most QB’s need to get the ball out on time in rhythm to be effective & for the most part Sam Darnold did that all season. Yeah, he’s had a hand full of notable scrambles that extended plays with terrific results, like the TD throws to JJ vs Atlanta & Seattle…but that’s the exception. And last night, from the first drive, the ball simply wasn’t coming out on time, in rhythm. Certainly Detroit’s pressure scheme…physical man to man coverage (especially in the Red Zone) while playing in loud environment at home…deserves some credit for that too.. but literally for the first time this season Sam Darnold looked rattled, confused & was holding the ball way to long looking for open receivers. It’s up to KOC & Sam to dissect the film, figure out what the hell was going on to cause all the confusion and then make the necessary adjustments snd corrections. Talk about a deflating game. I give the Vikings a decent chance on road vs Rams. And until the 4th Qtr where they were clearly worn down to a nub, their D played well & gave the Vikings a chance, but the offense needs to get back on track…or they’ll be one more game and DONE for 2024 season.

you already said. physical press man coverage. No one got off the line without hands on them last night and they dared the refs to call it. Detroit was called for one defensive holding in the 1st half and no PI. They were called for one illegal contact, one holding on a play we completed anyway and two accepted holding calls (after it was already a 2 score game). that coupled with getting away from the run waaaay too early (we avg'd 6.3 ypc, still 3.5 if you take out Akers long run). I don't know what happened to our pick/mesh game concepts but those are man beaters. That coupled with no one making a single contested/tough catch last night and it's a recipe for your QB to press and hold the ball (Darnold seemed VERY afraid of making a mistake last night which led to him being late multiple times; you have the best WR in football. A contested 1v1 play to him is still an ok play rather than a fading away dirt ball to no one on third and long).
I hate to say it but Darnold yesterday looked like himself playing for the Jets passing incomplete over his receivers heads over and over again

spot on, I thought he looked like that at times against Greenbay as well.
Keep your stick on the ice...
afc north and nfc east with road games vs Seattle and LA is going to be some epic time zone fuckery
Do the Vikings play @ Dallas or Detroit on Thanksgiving?!?!?!
Keep your stick on the ice...
I swear we play Seattle like every year...
Keep your stick on the ice...
The Vikings and Seattle must place the same in their divisions pretty frequently.

I get the same feeling with the Giants. Our crossover game with that division is the Giants 75% of the time.
