Hey Karlsson,
WHAT DO YOU THINK OF OUR DEFENSE NOW!?@
🤣 😍 😉
Pretty easy INT there. Now back to my team's game. 😉
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
The defense came through late, ill give them credit.
SAM "CLUTCH" DARNOLD and then the DEFENSE FINISHES OFF!!!!!
13-2!!!!!!!!
SKOL VIKINGS LETS GO!!!!!!!!!!
THEO JACKSON a 2022 6th round draft out of Tennessee with the Game CLINCHING PICK!!!!!!
Geno Smiths luck finally ran out
The defense came through late, ill give them credit.
It's scary how often we blitz but when it works it works 😮
In my opinion, every win gets the Vikings closer and closer to franchise tagging Darnold next season. I don’t think you can let him walk.
13 wins and 2 losses!!
People keep talking about how good Buffalo and Philadelphia are yet the VIKINGS have a better record than both them while playing in a much tougher division (the best division in the NFL by far). The Vikings have a better point differential than both Philadelphia and Kansas City.
Eight straight wins the longest winning streak in the league. The next closest team is Kansas City with 5.
Buffalo's D has been invisible overall the last few weeks. Achilles' heel, IMO.

One of my best friends is a Buffalo fan...he didn't trust the coaching to get them to the promised land.
I agree Sam gets franchised at this point he is playing his guts out and winning huge games.
That late TD throw by Darnold on the run, trailing by 4 in less than ideal weather conditions with 3 minutes remaining while a hostile crowd was howling…was pure 💵☝️
The Vikings defense has given up 276 points the fewest in the NFC. The Chargers have given up 274 points the fewest in the AFC.

😎 😮 🤣
Well obviously everyone’s offense sucks then. 😉
In all seriousness, it doesn’t feel like that could be true. But it is. It likely just feels that way because while they’ll let the opposition drive down with relative ease, it is usually only in the fourth quarter and even then they’ll keep them to a FG or less with a takeaway.

Well, any offense led by Kirk Thuggins, according to everyone sitting in their La-Z-Boy. 😉

Watched part of “Get Up” this morning. Vikings are 13-2 but nobody talks about them, probably exactly what’s best for the team at this point, keeps that chip squarely on their shoulders.
Should be an epic Packer vs Viking tilt, Pack have been laying in the weeds, they’ll emerge from them with a win. Vikings have North title & NFC home field on the line, must win on Sunday for Lions finale to really count, unless Lions lose to 49ers, but then if Eagles win out home field goes down the drain.
Good thing the Vikings are 13-2 or people would be really losing their heads of the Vikings celebrations in the endzone after a TD or INT. Have to give someone credit for really digging in the vault of movies to replay scenes.
Keep your stick on the ice...

If Lions lost to 49ers this week and Vikes lost to GB, then Vikes won final week over Lions I believe Vikes would still get the #1 seed at 14-3 with Phily winning out also 14-3.
Vikes should have tie breaker with common opponent ATL.

About the only team that fears me is the Packers. I’m confident the Vikings can go on the road and win in both Detroit and Philly. Just Green Bay (at home or on the road) for me I the Vikings to stay clear of… especially if beat the Packers next Sunday. Let the Lions or Eagles take care of Green Bay.

of the 3 teams, GB is the one I'm least worried about (esp at home) as Love has a propensity to give you a shot at the ball a couple times a game and we've been very good this year when given the chance at completing those takeaways. obviously all of that is predicated on these teams being healthy. if it's philly without hurts then yeah they're the least worrisome of the trio
But lose on common opponent LAR. The Vikings do have a better "Strength of Victory" to take the tiebreaker against Philly.Vikes should have tie breaker with common opponent ATL.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?

Ahh yes, I missed the Rams. I am seeing that Phily has strong SOV though?
vikings is all predicated on beating the lions which will massively increase their SOV. Eagles SOV will take a hit after they play and beat the Giants
its kind of a weird metric as it is really only applicable when the teams have tied records at end of season as you can win almost no games but have a really good SOV if you beat some good teams when you actually win (ie clevelands being .511 because their wins are the jags, bal, and pitt-->23-22 total record)
But yes I see steve is on it and it really doesn't matter. if we lose, we aren't finishing ahead of the eagles if we end up tied
Digging deeper, in your scenario, Philly takes the Common Opponents since they beat the Packers, and the Vikings would have a split with them. But lose on common opponent LAR. I agree, 100%. Teams go decades, literally trying to find this level of play at the QB position. There is no way you just let this type of talent, season, ect. just walk out the door.
For Sam or any player in this situation of course you want the term (security) and money. But if Sam does this again next year he is then getting his deal. So its punt for one more year on term albeit a huge pay day and then the term comes and you get to do it where it appears the fit is just about perfect.
If this is how it were to play out then hopefully there is a little trade value for JJ at that point.
Seeing as how the Vikings have squeaked by in many games against mediocre or bad teams I think they lose by 10-14 to the Pack.
Detroit’a offense …. Yeesh. Hopefully the Vikes out score them.

Lose by 10-14 at home? lmfao. I mean anything is possible but, yeah no.

I wouldn't box score watch too much and get too excited.
I'd say we're relatively even with the Pack and at home. Could either team lose by 10-14? sure. But I'd say it's more likely a tight one. During this 8 game win streak, the Vikes have beat:
Colts 7-8 by 8
@ Jags 3-12 by 5 (this one definitely a clunker)
@ Titans 3-12 by 10
@ Bears 4-11 by 3
Cards 7-8 by 1
Falcons 8-7 by 21
Bears 4-11 by 18
@ Seahawks 8-7 by 3
Not really sure what mediocre/bad teams you're referring to squeaking by recently unless you're referring to a team that may make the playoffs on the road or a team just eliminated from contention this week 3 weeks ago. Teams play tight games in the NFL on a weekly basis. Hell it took a walkoff blocked FG by GB to beat Chicago and Det took Chicago not understanding how to manage a clock to not have to go to OT.
In 1 score games
Det: 6-2 (wins vs LAR, Ari, MN, Hou, Chi, GB; losses to TB, Buff)--> 53% of games
MN 8-1 (wins vs SF, GB, NYJ, Ind, Jax, Chi, Ari, Sea; loss to Det)-->60% of games
GB: 5-3 (wins vs Ind, LAR, Hou, Jax, Chi; losses to Phi, MN, Det)--> 57% of games
Shocker. I’m sure NBC would love to have stolen this one.
Packers are young and a little inconsistent. Not optimistic but these jabronis keep surprising me. Who knows what you’re gonna get out of the Lions at this point. We could easily end up playing at the Rams in the WC round which is the worst case scenario but also fun.
Keep your stick on the ice...
So happy they flexed. Increases the chances of seeing my team at noon. 😉

In the NFL, 80% of games are 1 score games (8 points or less). In a 17 game season, you can expect 13-14 one-score games just based on percentages. The Vikings have won 6 games by more than one score. They are already far above average and not just squeaking by.
Yeah...not sure what bertogliat is going on about.

Well Indy is about 0.500 and it was a 10-14 game until the last 2 min.
The Cards are also about 0.500 and the Vikes beat them by 1.
Seattle is about 0.500 and the Vikes beat them by 3.
The Jags and Bears are terrible and the Vikes beats them by 5 and 3 respectively.
When the Vikings played in GB Love was barely healthy enough to play and almost drove them back to a win after the Vikings jumped out to a big lead. Alexander did not play. I think the Vikings got a bit lucky to come out with a win.
I’m just not yet convinced the Vikings are the better team. I hope I’m wrong. They are a good team but I would put my money on GB for this game based on how closely they’ve played against teams worse than the Packers.

the vast majority of games end within 1 score. the packers beat the terrible bears by blocking a last second FG. its just how it goes in the league. The vast majority of teams on the list you cite were also beat by one score by the other teams in the division (bolded above). The only ones the Vikings have one score wins against htat are not on the list are SF (very different team when vikes played vs GB where Allen was their QB and they were missing multiple lineman and defensive players; lions play them this weekend), the Jets (neither Det or GB played them), and Sea (Det scored with 5 min left to make it a 2 score win and gave up 516 yards at home in that game and Sea played half the game vs GB with Howell at QB)
as far as luck, we turned it over 3 times including twice in our own red zone (Nailor inexcusable fumble on a PR, Darnold sack fumble) and ran a weird jet sweep to Nailor at GBs 4 up by 9 with 2 min left. neither team played well, but it wasn't by some fluke that they won (on the road no less). if anything this feels like a game both offenses should have the advantage but I like the home crowd to make things challenging on Green Bay and we've done a really good job against the run this season so if we can limit Jacobs, that'll go a long way.
I've been as skeptical of the Vikings this year as anyone yet even I can't think of any reason to believe the Peckers should be favored in this one.
It's gonna be close, because, hell, MN-GB in this type of game with what is at stake. However, I think homefield kicks in, ADV MN, and there's gonna be a lotta people on the edge of their seats.

Right now, I'm just enjoying the ride that this season has been so far; I have zero expectations for today or going forward. My hope is that they acquit themselves well in the playoffs, no matter how far they go. With Minnesota teams, I've found it best to enjoy "what is" and not focus too much on "what if".
