It's no secret that I hate the style that the South Americans play, but man it irritates me. In this Peru Colombia game.
You're running step for step with one of the best players in the world late in a tie game, feel a brush against your chin, and decide to let him run into wide open space, while you clutch your face and go to the ground, hoping the ref will call something. Fuck off...
Was really happy the ref called nothing, and was hoping Colombia would have scored off that play.

Was watching the game in Medellin with a pretty international group. I kept a running list of 'reasons why Americans hate soccer' based on what was happening. Even Colombian soccer fans were saying it was a pretty boring match.
Could be pretty interesting if Colombia makes the finals, since I'll be in Bogota that night.
Think I'll give Belgium-Ireland a look tonight if I don't forget to tune in.

I always try to watch Ireland if I can. Their fans rock.
Belgium get away with an obvious high kick in their own box and avoid a PK, then use their brilliant CA to go back down and score.
We get to lose to Argentina on Tuesday!
Love what I am seeing by Chile so far!!
Can't wait to see how bad the Mexican fans get if their team does not get back in to this. Mexican fans make UND fans look like angels.

Not a huge soccer fan. Although I'm a fan of soccer for international games.
Keep your stick on the ice...

Delicious.
Why do all these people who score goals (in the highlights that ESPN is running) assault the flag in the corner?
Because that flag is a haughty piece of sh!t.

The flag knows what it did.
I'm going to need a cigarette after this game.

I'm going to buy a pack. It's needed after a good pounding like that

Spain's white away shirt looks awful. All of the players look like they barfed and bled all over themselves after a rough night and now they have to stand before the morning commuters.
Oof, that is bad. Always loved Croatia's uniforms, though.
Wtf was Guzan doing there? The rest of the team was watching Messi.
Not sure Guzan could have played it differently on replay, by my first reaction was he should have attacked the ball.
Yeah, either stay on the line or attack the ball. He went halfway and froze- directly under the apex of the ball.
Surprise that Bradley had a TO in a key spot during an attack.
God, the atmosphere for this game is just incredible.
Terrible foul call.

We really need that sarcasm font. Bradley has been terrible the whole tournament.

He's terrible all the time.

He's great with space, but when he's challenged he folds like a deck of cards.
If the US survives the half within 1 they have to find a way to improve their possession%.
Goal Messi game over?
Jesus. You need to have that save. You're a couple feet off center.
Messi is a god.
I don't think you can take a more perfect free kick than that
Lavessi is a fucking little bitch.
Lucky we're not down to 9.
How's that?
Wonder is out
God fucking damnit.
Nice job defense.
Holy shit Besler. That was some of the worst defense I've ever seen.
So I guess I didn't really expect a win and why would I, but I was hoping they'd touch the ball more than 3 times this far into the match.
Their first touches have been atrocious. Just atrocious. I know they can't hear very well, but they need to help each other out and let them know when to settle and when to advance.
When I was a ref, when teams started pulling this shit I just stopped my watch.
I hate South American teams.
OH SNAP!
That's is a brutally broken arm.
Sick pass by Messi
This game is certainly showing just how far the US has to go before they can be considered top-flight.

US outshot 10-0
The more I see that goal by Messi, the more I get pissed at Guzan.
