I've stayed in some high end "tent accommodations" in Bahrain and Oman and in my experiences anyway they were a serious blast. I have no idea how nice they'll be for WC fans, but I can't imagine they'll be disastrous.
Japan 2
USA 0

Keep in mind that Japan is has a legit squad with more caps per player than the current US team. I'll be more worried if they look as equally disorganized vs. Saudi next week.

Berhalter wants to play from the back and possess the ball. He apparently hasn't watched his defense play because they play hot potato with the ball. They kick it wildly any chance they get to try and clear it. It just comes right back 20 seconds later. They need to adapt more of a counter-attacking style that puts pressure on the opposing team's defense.
I'd place more blame on the result due to a lack of effort than strategy.
Growing up I knew nothing about soccer other than Pele was the star of the sport.
I'm 50% factual and 50% sarcastic. When you get to know me, you will know which is which.
RIP the true GOAT. ?
Hard work will beat talent, if talent doesn't work hard.
Like I've read multiple places today, even if you didn't know a thing about soccer...you knew Pele. I don't know how anyone could argue that he isn't the GOAT of soccer and second is not even close.
I am the official Iowa Hawkeye football fan of GPL!
Soccer is the one sport I think there is no argument who the GOAT is. There is Pele... than an argument for #2.
Keep your stick on the ice...
I'm old enough to somewhat remember when Pele was highlighted on the Wild World of Sports for scoring a milestone goal while playing for the NY Cosmos. World soccer was barely a blip on the US radar then for a lot of us, although since I played soccer for one year and my coach was from Manchester I had somewhat of an inkling. He let me know that EPL games would have highlights aired every Sunday a.m. on PBS and there was often highlights included of games from Brazil and Argentina. It is a beautiful game.
I was ballboy at a handful of Kicks games growing up. I was able to see the Cosmos when they came to town. Pele just danced with the ball at his feet. Mesmerizing. So I ultimately got to touch the ball that Pele touched. My only claim to fame.
Hard work will beat talent, if talent doesn't work hard.
What is the general consensus so far of soccer fans with the MLS moving to AppleTV?
If I didn't live a short walk from the stadium the Loons would have completely fallen off my radar. I pay attention to the Loon's schedule since my street and cross street get usually get parked up about 20-30 minutes before games and we don't have off street parking for both cars. The last few years I would watch if they were on FSN/BSN but I don't have enough interest to pay for games and curious what fans with more passion for the team and league think.
Tonight must have been an attendance dud because there was plenty off street parking available....

Tonight was the US Cup, which I don’t believe is a part of the season ticket package. That would explain the lack of attendance.
As for your first question, I completely forget they’re on. I’m still old school with my Xfinity for sports. I am a very casual fan that would catch a handful of games throughout the season while searching for something to watch. No I never even think to switch to Apple. I have some friends who have season tickets. They bought Apple TV and are ok with the coverage. I think the lack of a local angle has watered it down.

Tres a cero!!
I don’t get the re-hire if Berhalter. There were so many behind the scenes issues with players. Regardless of who was right or wrong, there was definitely tension. The team hasn’t made any improvements on the pitch and one could argue they have under performed. It was a great time to find someone else and they just reverted to the same old same old.
What team issues were there beyond Renya's parents acting like entitled brats? Perhaps there was more than that...
I've heard it suggested that one issue in hiring a "bigger name" is that because of demands from the USWNT for everything being equal, they can't go out and hire a MNT manager at say $5 million without paying the same to the WNT manager. I don't know if that's complete b.s. or not as I really don't follow them much beyond their matches.
The main issue is that Reyna wasn’t playing after being told he was likely gonna sit the bench the entire WC. Also the lack of adjustments against Netherlands wasn’t ideal to say the least but that’s unrelated to the drama.
If Berhalter wouldn't have spoken about the Reyna situation at the leadership summit, then none of this stuff would have ever come to light.
I thought that USMNT had things trending in the right direction in the world cup, just needed to get better finishing and have a hold up striker available. There were a lot of promising things happening.

The United States takes an early lead in their Copa America opening game. USA!!!! USA!!! USA!!!

Brazil and Costa Rica played to a scoreless draw in their Copa America opening game.
Brazil is playing without Neymar he isn't playing in the tournament due to injury but this result is still VERY surprising.
In the FIFA world rankings Brazil is #4 and Costa Rica is #52.
The USA is #11
USA now losing to Panama... Ever since the (Deserved) red card in the 18th minute. You knew this was not going to be a good night.

The USA's final group match is against Uruguay while Panama's final group match is against Bolivia. Both the US and Panama now have 1 win and 1 loss so if Uruguay gets a win or draw tonight against Bolivia the US will need to beat Uruguay or match the result Bolivia gets. It is going to be difficult to beat Uruguay but if we draw our final match it would force Panama to win their final match. If both the US and Panama tie their final match the US advances on goal differential which is the 1st tie breaker. Head to Head is the 3rd tie breaker.
Costa Rica goalie with an extra stupid penalty and is then given zero chance to redeem himself
The combination of flopping and cheap shots in the Col/CR game is unreal
The field In Orlando is embarrassing, it looks like it’s so bad it’s slowing down the ball.
Is the coach for Peru Doc Brown?
In the 8th minute of 2nd half stoppage time Mexico is awarded a penalty kick. The Mexico fans go wild in excitement but VAR reply takes the penalty away. Game ends in a scoreless draw.
Ecuador advances and Mexico goes home.
That was flat out embarrassing last night. I have watched U12 games with better ball control. Yes the Ref's was horrible but the play of Team USA was worse. Their coach might be fired soon
Very physical game between Uruguay and Brazil and hard fought, ref could have called 10 more fouls on each team. Too bad Nandez got booted and wrecked it but that dude SUCKS. Whatta dirtbag.
Uruguay knocks out Brazil.
The Copa America semis
Argentina vs. Canada
Colombia vs. Uruguay
The Euro semis
Spain vs. France
England vs. Netherlands
Mercifully they have fired Berhalter. He had a cake walk in the Copa and couldn’t come through. Let’s see if US Soccer can come through and convince one of the big name coaches to come overseas.
The Colombians seem exceedingly whiney.

COL up a goal but down a man for 45 minutes and URU can’t score a single goal…stupid. 45 minutes
COPA Final delayed a half hour cause Florida sucks
Cool moment with DiMarias daughters bringing out the ball to start the game
