It's the tech age. People find stuff like this all the time, thanks to the internet/etc. Hacking, word of mouth via the 'net, etc. I think they've pretty much ruled that the dad had no knowledge.

When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.

It was a prank call. If the kid was a no-one, this would be a non-story, as far as "real" news. *shrug* Tampering, etc, gimme a break. The kid thought it would be funny (and it was).

Disagree 1000%. You don't get to excuse every poor decision under the guise it was "just a prank".  While this was theoretically harmless, I can't stand stuff like this and imho he's getting properly roasted.

The outrage and investigation etc...that's a little overboard. I'm not excusing the prank, I'm poo-poo-ing the reaction to said prank.

The league needs to cover its ass in this situation on a number of fronts (PR and internal security if that number somehow leaked) and that's presumably why they investigated the incident. That's a perfectly rational response imo.

Like I said, If you want to live in a circus, expect clowns.  The Sanders family demands attention and surrounds themselves with cameras and an entourage.  They want fame and fortune and this comes with it.  If this was some shy college kid that came from nothing and kept to himself and needed the payday, the prank would be cruel.  But Shadeur drives a Rolls Royce, has been coddled by daddy since birth, and told he should be a top 5 pick.  He didn't throw a ball at the combine, skipped the senior bowl and was cocky...confident...in his NFL team interviews, telling GMs he would change their team's culture. Even if he didn't play a day in the NFL he'd be rich and doing just fine.  This prank was funny because Shadeur lives in a circus and got clowned.

The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich $100,000 in response to a prank call made to Shedeur Sanders during the draft.

Another potential landing spot for Erin?

personally I think they’re better off with Tyler shough but can see Rogers going there to mentor the rookie for a year if he doesn’t look good this summer. I’m assuming they drafted shough to be their franchise quarterback in the 2nd round.

New Orleans needs to more on from a bridge/band aid QB. Go with Shough as @camo-coat-guy mentioned or Spencer Rattler. Look for a veteran free agent QG that's not Erin to mentor.
