It's the tech age. People find stuff like this all the time, thanks to the internet/etc. Hacking, word of mouth via the 'net, etc. I think they've pretty much ruled that the dad had no knowledge.

It was a prank call. If the kid was a no-one, this would be a non-story, as far as "real" news. *shrug* Tampering, etc, gimme a break. The kid thought it would be funny (and it was).
Disagree 1000%. You don't get to excuse every poor decision under the guise it was "just a prank". While this was theoretically harmless, I can't stand stuff like this and imho he's getting properly roasted.
The outrage and investigation etc...that's a little overboard. I'm not excusing the prank, I'm poo-poo-ing the reaction to said prank.

The league needs to cover its ass in this situation on a number of fronts (PR and internal security if that number somehow leaked) and that's presumably why they investigated the incident. That's a perfectly rational response imo.

Like I said, If you want to live in a circus, expect clowns. The Sanders family demands attention and surrounds themselves with cameras and an entourage. They want fame and fortune and this comes with it. If this was some shy college kid that came from nothing and kept to himself and needed the payday, the prank would be cruel. But Shadeur drives a Rolls Royce, has been coddled by daddy since birth, and told he should be a top 5 pick. He didn't throw a ball at the combine, skipped the senior bowl and was cocky...confident...in his NFL team interviews, telling GMs he would change their team's culture. Even if he didn't play a day in the NFL he'd be rich and doing just fine. This prank was funny because Shadeur lives in a circus and got clowned.

The NFL has fined the Atlanta Falcons $250,000 and defensive coordinator Jeff Ulbrich $100,000 in response to a prank call made to Shedeur Sanders during the draft.

personally I think they’re better off with Tyler shough but can see Rogers going there to mentor the rookie for a year if he doesn’t look good this summer. I’m assuming they drafted shough to be their franchise quarterback in the 2nd round.
The Saints are in cap hell, Erin will be on a much better team in PIT
New Orleans needs to more on from a bridge/band aid QB. Go with Shough as @camo-coat-guy mentioned or Spencer Rattler. Look for a veteran free agent QG that's not Erin to mentor.

Why would the be doing this? Why not put it at the People’s stadium?
Breaking: The Minnesota Vikings have decided to allocate $2.5 million to build a statue of legendary Fran Tarkenton outside AT&T Stadium, the largest stadium in the U.S., to honor his immense contributions during his career with the team...

So his release was sealed with a kiss. 😉 😀
I guess Schefter and Florio are at bit at odds of all the reasons he was cut. I think the kiss was probably nothing, as per him getting cut; main reason was health.

Pretty Great Speech by Shannon Sharpe at his HoF induction in Canton, OH 👍
Jared Allen gave an excellent speech too! 😁

I know it's preseason so it doesn't really count, but that's just nuts.
B1G refs... corrupt, or just incompetent?
Honestly, with the advancements of athletic capability, I could see, in most of our lifetimes, an 80-yarder, at some point. I mean, mid-60s, although rare, are becoming more common at an exponential rate than years before.

So they no longer bring the chain gang out on the field to see if a 1st down was made. Now they have video to determine if it was made

This is a microcosm of why the NFL always beats the MLB.
(I'm not saying I agree or disagree with it, just pointing out a perfect illustration)

Parsons traded to packers for 2 first rounders. 188 million 4 years. 120 guaranteed
Dallas gets DT Kenny Clarke too
Dallas gets DT Kenny Clarke too
Wow! That’s a YUGE move by da Pack! And while I won’t miss as a Vikings fan bad ole Kenny Clark clogging up the middle, the edge rushing ability of Micah is off the charts!
A Gudy Gutsy move by Pack GM!

I won’t miss seeing Clarke twice a year, prolly the same for the Vikings O line. He’ll be 30 in a couple months so probably a good move for the Packers as they now have the game changer on defense they lacked. I’m assuming he fits their scheme.
Micah Parsons turns down more guaranteed money from Dallas to force a trade (according to Jerry Jones). Parsons then says he didn’t want this chapter of his career to end. Sure bro. You wanted out of Dallas cause Jerry Jones sucks. Just say it.
Just watched highlights of Jerry Jones press conference after the Parsons trade. My god rich people are disconnected assholes. Just a firehose of stupidity.
In his press conference Jerry Jones compared this trade to the Herschel Walker trade in how it could help the Cowboys…doh’kay
The cowboys could’ve won now , they add Pickens to compliment lamb, Prescott is healthy, seemed like a better year ahead and able to be more of a factor in the division. I don’t really get jones, you have a window of opportunity with players in their primes and takes a step backwards right before the season and blows up the fan base. I can see lamb and Pickens being more of a problem if things don’t go well and this doesn’t help players with attitude history’s. The packers will finish towards the top of the league so the first round picks Dallas gets will be late first rounders. It makes Greenbay better so I don’t like that either. The timing of it too, packers are pumped and ready for the shot out of the cannon effect and Dallas is whimpering with disappointment a week before the season. With the pack drafting Golden and now Micah ?ugh!
Largely due to Jimmy Johnson draft picks (fueled by the Hershal Walker trade) the Cowboys were a powerhouse during 92-95. But since then for the past 30 years they’ve been nothing special (on the field). Jerry Jones is so over the hill mentally (at age 82 & has no business making GM decisions) The Packers swooped in & took advantage of that coupled with Jones’s gigantic ego to fleech the Cowboys. Those 2 draft picks will be on the 20’s & while Kenny Clark is a load in the middle, he’s about to turn 30 years old. The Packers sorely lacked an edge rusher in 2024 & now they have arguably the best in the NFL whose just entering the prime age of his career. Huge win by the green & canary yellow on this transaction.Just watched highlights of Jerry Jones press conference after the Parsons trade. My god rich people are disconnected assholes. I think Clark is due to get a big pay day after this year too so he might just be a one and done in Dallas.
edit: I believe his contract is good through 2027

For J. Gauf, Caleb Williams & JJ McCarthy…yesterday’s trade made their lives more uncomfortable for a LONG time. For RB’s going up the middle it won’t be as bad for a couple years, big Kenny was tuff to block. If Micah embraces the change, which I expect he will (with all the 💵 he’s now getting) it’s Slugger Lange “PAIN” for QB’s 😅 Ya gotta give something to get something. From a PR standpoint for the NFL, it’s a win. The unique ownership structure of the small Fox Valley city is a positive contrast to dip shit owners like Jerry Jones.
Reminds me a bit of the late Reggie white deal, they’re gonna love him in Greenbay they already do! They’re pumped up and former dallas players are chiming in on social media shaking their heads and that carries over to the fans.
I wanna say white was a free agent signing there but the affect he had on everyone around him and the fan base was big
Isn't Parsons garbage against the run? How's that going to help them vs say Detroit?
