4 games for Wild  since Monday & trailing 5-2 tonight looks like two of eight points! That’s putting them in peril. Just Brutal

This one was on me. Immediately after I turned it on Boldy took that penalty.

At least the Canucks and Flames aren’t exactly lighting the world on fire either, our upcoming games with them are going to be huge.

I’m getting pissed!

What an awful penalty call on NJ where Foligno weakly fell, better cash in on this gift! Our power play absolutely sucks! Boring to watch. No KK is literally killing Wild on pp. And what a BUST #13 Trennin is. The damn commie can’t skate worth a crap!

And Nyquist  looked SIGNIFICANTLY better in 4 Nations, U have to wonder if he’s playing injured. Absolutely Zero jump from him, he’s simply invisible. So frustrating watching these clowns slog away!

I was about to ask when the Wild would take the really badly timed penalty that isn’t needed and then Hartman did it as I was typing.

You could see Hughes and Zuccarello talking about it. I assume it went something like this:

”Cool if I just sit here?”

”Sure, we need the point too.”

😆

I blame Motzko

I was recently informed by a GPLer that I'm related to Airey

Nonetheless what was the % chance Wild were going to score & steal a valuable point before that lucky bounce & clutch finish by Boldy. I’d of put it at 3%. That ONE point was STOLEN!

I’d wager it was much more than 3%. Gus kept them in it, especially in the second, but it  definitely evened out in the third.

No KK, no Erik EK REALLY hamstrings Wild in 3x3 OT. But trailing 4-3 after 2 on a night Gus wasn’t particularly sharp, good to rally for 1 point. Up to 89 points with 6 games to go.

Faber also looks worn out, he really hasn’t been as effective as he was prior to 4Nations ☝️

The Wild beat the Dallas Stars 3-2 in overtime on a Marco Rossi goal his 24th of the season.

Matt Boldy (26th) and Marcus Folingo (13th) also scored.

The Wild now have 91 points with 4 games left.

To have a 90+ point season with a good shoot to get to 95 points with a ton of key lengthy injuries, 14.75 million less of salary to use due to Praise and Suter contracts/buy outs, and playing in the toughest division in the toughest conference is quite an accomplishment.

The dead salary cap hit for Praise and Suter is only a combined 1.67 million for each of the next three seasons.

He's been ridden hard and didn’t get a break over the tournament, so that checks out.😁

Wild have to get two points tonight. Sharks are the worst team in the league.

Calgary is at Anaheim and the Blues at Edmonton. A Blues regulation loss tonight at the Wild can find themselves back in the top wild card spot.

I would love to avoid Winnipeg in the first round but I doubt that happens

Well the power play certainly seems a tad more effective with 14 and 97 back.

A traffic cone placed in the middle of the crease would have more saves than Fleury does tonight

I realize they don’t want to pull Fleury in his last regular season start, but they may have to.

Got 2, should have had 3.

Amazing how much space Kaprizov creates.

Ek with 4 goals and Kaprizov with 2 goals including the game winner in overtime.

Wild win 8-7. The offense is unstoppable with Ek and Kaprizov back. 😀

Kaprizov has 25 goals, 30 assists, 55 points in 38 games this season.

In a full 82 games this pace would be 54 goals, 65 assists, 119 points.

Flames fall apart late, giving up goals 9 seconds apart to tie, and lose in OT to ducks.

Oilers beat blues with late goal.

Wild's magic number now 3.  A win in regulation, OT, or SO, on Friday in Calgary clinches a playoff spot.  Maybe they can start MAF in Vancouver after clinching Friday.  Rest Gus and give him the last game vs ANA.  Some concern on giving MAF last game (if in playoffs), and have Gus rest too long (8 days) before first playoff game.

Flower now has the record for wins in OT - 70 after passing Brodeur with 1 less.

It all makes sense now. At times it felt like he was trying to let them in.

Not Fleury's best by a long shot but the defensive zone coverage was terrible all night.

It was a good game for fans but not the coach.

If we knew beforehand KK would win it in OT, wouldn’t be so disappointed in the utter collapse in of D zone coverage & goaltending. With that said, some of the young Sharks are super talented, especially MC!

Yes, that Sharks team has some really good young guns.

Likewise, I'm excited to see Buium enter the lineup for the Wild. The team will have a core of young-ish players who might be the start of a nice run.

I will be interested to see how NHL ready Buium will be.  My guess is that it will not be a long adjustment process. I also think they expect to get Yurov over from the KHL for next year.  He should develop into a fantastic player.

I see Buium as another Brock Faber. He has all the tools, and when he gets into an NHL system where everybody has talent and knows their jobs, he'll learn quickly.

No doubt on Buium, the kid has it all right now, his future looks very bright. He and Faber's game should compliment well, Faber having the shutdown element with some solid O, where Buium if it all works out has phenom O potential.

And he will be 19 into December of next season, very young.
