I want the throw back uniforms to be their regular home ice uniforms
Aloha!

Dumb. Better way to send the message is have Bogosian send Scheifele down the tunnel.

I had to rewind the game to see what I missed as the game starting fight occurred.
It's a shame this team can't stay healthy. They had a nice surge going and now they have their work cut out for them just to stay even.

Hartman should be suspended for a few games. What a cheap shot.

Definitely a bit dirty, but it's not even a penalty. Kind of ridiculous that it would warrant a fine.
Did Perfetti get anything for leading with the top of his helmet? That's every bit as dirty as what Hartman did

The puck never got swept away, so it's hard to determine if he was trying to lift his stick, but the fine is warranted. It does look intentional.

Didn't help Hartman's cause that Perfetti was mic'd up and Hartman told him it was payback for the hit on 97 the game before.

Hartman’s really has an ability for rockhead moments.

This is an ugly forward lineup.
Played like it too. The team all says the right thing when interviewed...next man up etc....but too many holes in the dike.
I think most teams would have a problem overcoming all of these injuries. Tough to lose your top forward, top goalie, another top 6 forward, top 4 D all at once. Is what it is at that point. Play hard and see what happens.

why is it Minnesota teams have multiple injuries at the same time I just can’t see why this is happening

Hast a team ever fired two coaches in a season? Maybe they could catch fire again with a new voice. 🤣 Obviously kidding.

Brock Faber had 3 assists tonight including an assist on the OT game winner by Rossi his 12th goal of the season.
Fiala (27 years old) has 8 goals in 35 games. The Faber (21 years old) & 1st round draft pick trade is working out.
Watching Brock play for the next decade is going to be a lot of fun.
So I probably shouldn’t get a Faber Wild jersey huh?
We just need a new 22 so I can repurpose the fiala jersey.
me: who will be with the wild for a long time?
@hobeybaker : fiala.
me: buys jersey.
its all his fault. 😉
Please don't. If you would like, I'm sure we can provide you with a long list of players that we would be more than happy to have you jinx.So I probably shouldn’t get a Faber Wild jersey huh?

Parents bought me a North Stars jersey when I was little... within 2-3 seasons they were gone.
Following their departure I got much more into baseball, so they bought me a Puckett jersey. He was injured the next season.
I bought a Morneau jersey the year before his concussion... I bought a Dubnyk jersey during the 2014/2015 playoffs...
That will likely be the last jersey I buy for quite awhile.
The only ones that haven't bitten me are the Patrick Roy jersey I got in Middle school and the Wild jersey my parents bought me after the jerseys were released, but we still didn't have any players so they put my name and number on it. I also have about 8 Gopher Hockey jerseys, but all are blank.

I have the Twins curse:
Cristian Guzman
Willians Austudillo
Both gone after the season I bought the jerseys.
And thank goodness I didn't letter my Wild jersey (Lubomir) Sekeras. He didn't last long...
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Get a Hendrickson jersey. Dude is bulletproof.
FitzMagic, I mean, Fitzpatrick for a good stretch of time....

Goalie making NHL Debut gets a Shut Out win over the Wild.
There's the team I am familiar with. Keep being mediocre guys. Good enough to just make, or barely miss, the playoffs, but not bad enough to get a meaningful draft pick.
But hey, at least we've got some GRIT! and the locker room is good.
EDIT: not NHL debut. First shut out, had played 4 games as a 25 year old undrafted goalie. Point still stands.

They were going to be average at best this season. Take away Brodin, Spurgeon, Zuc, KK, Gus, and Foligno for long stretches, and they will lose a lot more games than they win. They have a lot of guys on this team who should be playing in Iowa.
It's unfortunate that after a nice little run to get relevant, they all got hurt at the same time. It's also a bummer that one Fightin' Hawk and one stinkin' Badger are still haunting the team.
The Wild such a terrible team, giving Dallas 2 shorthanded goals last night
Aloha!

That's kind of my point though. Embracing the chance for a higher draft pick wasn't good enough. They bought into needing a new coach to wake the guys up so that just maybe they could find a way to sneak into the playoffs and in all likelihood get embarrassed in the first round again.
They just lacked the talent to be much better than average, and have ZERO depth. And that is going to be hard to do anyway when you have $14M+ against the cap in dead cap hits. And it is going to continue into next season as well.
Nearly every chance Guerin has had to improve the team, he does the opposite. Maybe don't sign Goligoski for 2 additional years after you healthy scratched him a bunch down the stretch. I just don't understand signing Marcus Foligno to 4 years at $4M... Ryan Hartman for 3 years at $4M... The Zuccarello one bothers me less, because he can still play, Kirill seems to enjoy playing with him, and he took a discount.
Marcus Johannson and Freddy Gaudreau I didn't like re-signing either. But you do need NHL players, and at least $2M is half what you are paying Foligno and Hartman. Could Sammy Walker, Adam Beckman, Caedan Bankier not filled those roles for less, and you can find out more about the prospects you have?
Make an emergency coaching hire midseason, on a re-tread coach, and signed him to a "multi-year deal"? why? There is probably a reason he was available.
You have an embarrassingly bad special teams performance last year, and get embarrassed in the playoffs. And you bring the entire staff back? Nobody thought to maybe get a new special teams coach? Or change anything? Just 'run it back'? That's when I though, okay maybe they are going in on the chance at a higher draft pick. But then the early season coaching change seems to say the opposite... When in reality this team just isn't much better than a middle of the pack team at best - and then we continue to lock-up guys long term who are going to keep us middle of the pack, and eliminate what roster/cap flexibility we had.
I just don't understand the direction of the franchise. Be as mediocre as possible? Nothing right now tells me this team is going to be better next year. And I don't see anything that would lead me to believe they will be better in 2 years, other than they will have $12M more in cap space which will probably be spent on aging vets who can provide some more grit.

I don't disagree at all, but that's a tough one. There is a thing called fan interest. Nobody wants an empty rink. That's bad for all stakeholders. The organization is treading water trying to strike a balance between rebuilding, coming off its obligations to Parise-Suter, and putting a team on the ice that at least holds some fan interest.*
*The Twins are experts at this. They put a budget product on the field that's just good enough to maintain fan interest but not good enough to make a run. Little Johnny gets a malt cup while Dad swills his $12 beers hoping for a Twins' win. Nobody expects them to win a championship--they have the small-market excuse built in. For fans, the Twins' experience is an opportunity to go out with family and friends, see some good baseball, and not think too much about what happens at the end. It's been this way for years and years.

Maybe that's the thing for me then. It has become so hard for me to follow the Wild, that I just am aggravated and don't care that much anymore. Chasing Bally's Sports for 3 years (mediacom to DirecTV to Dish to YouTubeTV to just saying enough), then I by the Bally's app, and it constantly crashes/freezes or says "This content is not available in your area". Forget it. Plus games just being too expensive to go more than maybe once or twice a season at most, between $40 parking, $100+ tickets, stupid concession prices where now they want 20%+ tips on top of it... I feel tapped out.
They are already having 'trouble' selling tickets based on the number of "Heed the Call" emails I get about ticket packages and ticket availability, and the fact that my Dad has tried to sell a bunch of his season tickets, and cannot even unload most of them for half-price of $50 per ticket. I say 'trouble' because there are still more butts in seats than places like SJ, OTT, etc.
I am also completely turned off by the fact that they want more tax payer dollars for stadium amenities. These stadium amenities will likely be more more expensive/exclusive things that the average guy cannot afford and involves the removal of the seats my Dad has had since the season before the lockout (C18). He has said if that goes through, it will be the end of the Wild for him, not that they will lose any sleep over it. As if attending a game weren't expensive enough, let's find ways to make it more expensive. No thanks.
The combination of this with the current roster situation has soured me on the franchise overall. The Wild used to be appointment viewing in my house, now I casually follow them by checking box scores and online highlights a day later. If you want to find a way to alienate long-time fans, I feel like the Wild are writing the book.
The long waited debut of Wallstedt will be tonight.

Wallstedt turned 21 less than 2 months ago. Close is 4.5 years older than him.
Proof that +/- sometimes doesn't tell the whole story. Faber is a minus 2 so far tonight on a bad turnover by a forward and a bad ricochet off the boards to the guy right in front of the goalie.

Wild with no game and no gumption tonight. They are Dallas' bitches this season and show little sign of changing that. This is a real mail-in job tonight.
Might be time for me to cancel the auto record. Can they fire two coaches in one season? 🙂

No money🤣 Holy smokes this lineup is bad. Feel bad for Jesper.
While he’s not getting much help, he’s had a few go right through him too. Welcome to the bigs, kid.
