Max does it again - triples in two runs to tie the score. After a slow start he's been very, very, good.
(Don't ask me about the chart since I have no idea what it means other than someone who knows more than I do says his stats are lining up to what I've been watching. ?)

I could not find a picture of Charlie Manuel with his #9.

Looks like the bad Dallas Keuchel is pitching today.
Time for this experiment to end.
Keuchel in relief? Good. Keuchel starting? Not good.
It's pretty obvious what needs to happen. But, he has already opted out after this season. I guess it comes down to, "Do you want a job, and if so, here are OUR terms."
When you tell somebody somethin', it depends on what part of the United States you're standin' in... as to just how dumb you are.
Eight is the magic number and #8 is always reserved for Mr. Mayasich. Always. And I LOVED the rat.

8 game lead for the Twins and both Cleveland and the Twins have 15 games for to go. Pretty much a nail in the coffin for the Division unless one of the biggest collapses in MLB history. I'm not a great baseball mind, but how much do the Twins start resting players and messing with their pitching staff in the next 15 games?

Yep, they already started giving Correa a game or two off. The next 2 weeks is 100% about setting ourselves up for the playoffs. Hopefully we can establish a few more options in the bullpen.
With the first round being best 2 out of 3 (all at Target Field assuming they win the division) if we get to the end of the regular season with our pitchers healthy some combination of Ryan, Maeda, Varland and Ober should be options for the bullpen along with some combination of Duran, Thielbar, Pagan, Jax, Winder, Stewart, and Funderburk
The angry Twins stadium announcer says the Twins magic number is now "Number 7, GREG GAGNE!!!"
{shouting harshly}

Willi Castro robs a homerun in center field. For some reason he was holding on to the fielding position chart in his throwing hand the entire time. Had to drop it to throw the ball back to the infield.
Coming back from Tommy John surgery Chris Paddock pitched 3 shut out innings for the St. Paul Saints tonight giving 2 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1.
Brock Stewart has now thrown a scoreless inning in his first two outings with the Saints. There is a good chance he will get called up to the Twins within the next week and certainly is in the running to be one of relief pitchers in the playoffs. He was one of the Twins best relief pitchers in first half of the season before getting hurt in late June.

He must have been looking at it when the pitch was thrown and didn't have time to put it in his pocket before chasing after the ball.
Pitchers sometimes try to quick pitch to catch the batter off guard but this is a first for me seeing that happen. In this clip what you are saying is shown. He drops the card after making the catch. Good catch by you and by Willi (next time put the card away sooner ? ).

If they are healthy enough to go in the playoffs that certainly makes the bullpen a bit more formidable, especially the way Varland is throwing the ball as a RP. That gives a lot of high octane arms out of the pen.

I’m pretty upset about Lewis’ injury. Earlier he pulled up and limped to 1st base. Usually, when they pull up like that, they send a team of coaches out to check on them. This time, nothing. In his next at bat, he made the injury worse. I think that if Rocco had been there, they would have checked him out the first time and pulled him out for cautionary reasons.
